1 Thank you for choosing a Leupold® spotting scope. We trust that all the work we put into it will reward you with years of enjoyment and trouble-free use. Using Leupold® Spotting Scopes Leupold spotting scopes are equipped with twist-up eyecups to allow for ease of use by a person with or without eyeglasses. To adjust the eyecup for use while wearing eyeglasses, simply twist the eyecup until it rests in its lowest position.
While viewing through the scope, turning the magnification selector clockwise increases magnification, while turning it counter-clockwise decreases magnification. Leupold Kenai HD spotting scopes are packaged with an additional 30x fixed-magnification, wide-angle eyepiece. 3 3. View the object you desire to observe through the spotting scope. 4. Adjust the magnification level as desired. 5. Turn the focus adjustment dial until the image of the object being viewed is seen as crisp and sharp. For Ventana spotting scopes, the focus dial is located on the upper forward edge of the “shoulder”. For Kenai HD spotting scopes, the focus dial is located around the body of the scope, just in front of the “shoulder”.
LENSES: Should the lenses of the scope become dirty, clean them as you would any fine camera lens. 1. Use a lens brush to remove dust. 2. Fingerprints that cannot be removed by brushing can be removed with a good grade of glass cleaner. When wiping the lens, use a soft cloth and wipe from the center of the lens outward. Warranty Service Leupold optics are engineered and manufactured to standards set and monitored by the design engineers at Leupold’s plant in Oregon.
5 LEUPOLD PRODUCT SERVICE If your Leupold spotting scope fails to perform in any way, you may return them directly to the Leupold factory for service. It is not necessary for your dealer to ship the spotting scope to Leupold; however, they can be very helpful in determining if factory service is necessary. Mit dem Pinsel nicht entfernbare Fingerabdrücke können mit einem qualitativ hochwertigen Glasreiniger entfernt werden. 15 MANUTENZIONE LENTI: Le lenti del cannocchiale vanno pulite come quelle delle macchine fotografiche d’alta qualità. 1. Togliere eventuali tracce di polvere con uno spazzolino per obiettivi. 2. Le impronte delle dita che non si riuscisse a togliere con lo spazzolino vanno tolte con un buon detergente per vetri. Passare un panno morbido dal centro della lente verso l’esterno.
