WARNING: TO AVOID FIRE, SHOCK, OR DEATH; TURN OFF POWER AT CIRCUIT BREAKER OR FUSE AND TEST THAT THE POWER IS OFF BEFORE WIRING!
To Side Wire: Remove insulation from wires to expose 3/4” (1.9 cm) of conductor. Loop wires clockwise 3/4 turn around terminal screws. Firmly tighten screws over wire loops.
To Back Wire: Remove insulation per strip gauge on device. Insert wires into appropriate wire well and tighten screw firmly.
For Single Pole, Single Throw Switches (fig. 1).
Connect wires per appropriate WIRING DIAGRAM as follows:
BLACK (Hot) wire from power source to the (L1) screw. BLACK wire from Load #1 to (A1) screw. GREEN or BARE (Ground) wire to GREEN screw.
For Single Pole, Double Throw, Center OFF Switches (fig. 2).
Connect wires per appropriate WIRING DIAGRAM as follows:
BLACK (Hot) wire from power source to the (L1) screw. BLACK wire from Load #1 to (A1) screw. BLACK wire from Load #2 to (B1) screw. GREEN or BARE (Ground) wire to GREEN screw.
For Double Pole, Double Throw, Center OFF Switches (fig. 3).
Connect wires per WIRING DIAGRAM as follows:
Circuit A Line Hot wire to the (L1) screw. Circuit B Line Hot wire to the (L2) screw. First Load wire from Load #1 to the (A1) screw. Second Load wire from Load #1 to the (A2) screw. First Load wire from Load #2 to the
(B1) screw. Second Load wire from Load #2 to the (B2) screw. GREEN or BARE (Ground) wire to the GREEN screw.
Mount device using long mounting screws. Attach wallplate. Restore power at circuit breaker or fuse.
