TEMPORARY POWER BOX
Installation Instructions
WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS:
• TO AVOID FIRE, SHOCK OR DEATH; UNPLUG CORD and TURN OFF POWER at circuit
breaker or fuse and test that power is off before installing, removing or servicing device!
• To be installed and/or used in accordance with appropriate electrical codes and regulations.
• If you are unsure about any part of these instructions, consult an electrician.
• Use these devices with copper or copper clad wire only.
Receptacle Mounting to 2 Gang Rubber Box
1. Select appropriate cover for receptacle per chart below.
2. For Wet Locations Only: Remove the appropriate perforated cut-outs from the
gasket, remove film, and affix to back of cover. Refer to diagram 2.
3. Mount wired receptacle to cover as shown in diagram 3, using mounting screws
provided. NOTE: For Decora
®
devices, use provided mounting screws with nuts and
mount device to cover.
4. Place cover/receptacle assembly onto rubber box in position as shown in diagram.
Use (6) mounting screws provided to fasten cover assembly to rubber box. DO NOT
overtighten mounting screws. After tightening mounting screws, ensure that cover is
flush to rubber box.
NOTE: Tamper Resistant GFCI receptacles are not compatible with Decora
®
flip lids.
Single and Double Gang Box Wiring Instructions
WARNING: TO AVOID FIRE, SHOCK OR DEATH; UNPLUG CORD and TURN OFF POWER at circuit breaker or fuse and test that power is off before installing, removing or servicing device!
1. Install Cable Strain Relief Bushing(s) onto rubber box and torque Lock nut as follows: 1/2" NPT and 1" NPT torque 45-55 in-lbs.
2. Remove Tightening nut from bushing.
3. Strip no less than 6" of the cord cable jacket. DO NOT cut wire insulation.
4. Feed stripped length of cord through Tightening nut and bushing.
5. Torque Tightening nut as follows: 1/2" NPT and 1" NPT torque 45-55 in-lbs.
6. Strip conductors and install receptacle per installation instructions provided with receptacle.
NOTE:
For feed-through requirements, install Cable Strain Relief Bushings on both sides of box as described above and splice conductors as per code requirements.

Receptacle Mounting to 1 Gang Rubber Box
1. Select appropriate cover for receptacle per chart below.
2. For Wet Locations Only: Remove the appropriate perforated cut-outs from the
gasket, remove film, and affix to back of cover. Refer to diagram 2.
3. Remove strap mounting screws from receptacle and discard. For a Duplex device
trim the mounting strap by removing the 4 "ears". For a Decora
®
device remove the
"4" ears and "2" center tabs as shown in diagram 3.
4. Place wired receptacle in the mounting position as shown in diagram 4.
5. Use mounting screws provided to fasten cover and receptacle to rubber box. DO
NOT overtighten mounting screws. Ensure that cover is flush to rubber box.
NOTE: For a heavy duty installation, drill out (4) start holes located at corners on back of
covers. Fasten cover to rubber box using (6) mounting screws provided.
NOTE: Tamper Resistant GFCI receptacles are not compatible with Decora
®
flip lids.
For GFCI receptacle applications, use 1 gang deep box only.

1. Slide compression nut over cable. Compress mesh and slide over cable. Slide grommet over cable.
2. Secure cable grip body to power box using lock nut. Torque 45-55 in-lbs for 1/2" NPT and 1" NPT.
3. Slide grommet into cable grip body and lay mesh flat against grommet. NOTE: Cable jacket may have to be
stripped to pass through body. Ensure jacket is completely covered by grommet when assembled.
4. Tighten compression nut onto cable grip body. Smooth mesh onto cable eliminating slack.
Optional Installation using Wire Mesh Strain Relief Grips

1. Glisser l’écrou flottant, le filet comprimé et la bague sur le câble.
2. Fixer le corps du manchon sur la boîte d’alimentation en serrant le contre-écrou à un couple de 45-55 po-lb (filetage NPT de 1 ou de 1/2 po).
3. Glisser la bague dans le corps du manchon et poser l’extrémité du filet contre la bague.
REMARQUE : il pourrait être nécessaire de dégainer le câble pour permettre le passage dans le corps.
On doit s’assurer que la gaine est entièrement couverte par la bague une fois l’assemblage terminé.
4. Serrer l’écrou flottant sur le corps du manchon. Tendre le filet le long du câble en aplatissant tous les plis.
1. Deslice la tuerca de compresión sobre el cable. Comprima la malla y deslícela sobre el cable. Deslice la arandela sobre el cable.
2. Asegure el cuerpo de la agarradera de cable a la caja de alimentación usando la tuerca de seguridad. Use una presión de 45 a 55
in-lbs para tuercas NPT de 12.7 mm (1/2") y NPT de 25.4 (1’).
3. Deslice la arandela en el cuerpo de la agarradera del cable y que la malla quede plana contra el ojal. NOTA: El forro del cable debe
estar pelado para pasar a través del cuerpo. Asegure que el forro esté totalmente cubierto por la arandela cuando ensamble.
4. Apriete la tuerca de compresión sobre el cuerpo de la agarradera del cable. Alise la malla eliminando el cable flojo.
