APPLICATION
The GigaMax Cat 5e UTP QuickPort Jack is designed to be
used with any Category 5e UTP structured cabling system.
The modular connector features a one-piece narrow design
that supports high port density in a small area, and is ideal for
use in residential, MDU, and high-megabit applications.
SPECIFICATION
The modular jack shall meet or exceed requirements for
Category 5e described in the ANSI/TIA-568.2-D standard,
as well as the Class D requirements described in ISO/IEC
11801-1. The jack shall be compliant with ANSI/TIA-1096-A,
cULus listed, and be independently veried for electrical
transmission performance. In addition to Category 5e
compliance, the jack shall have the ability to support high
megabit and shared-sheath applications. All plastics used in
construction of the connector bodies shall be re-retardant
with a UL ammability rating of 94V-0. Termination of all jacks
shall be 110-type IDC with solder-plated phosphor bronze
contacts. The jack shall provide a ledge directly adjacent
to the 110-style termination against which the wires can be
directly terminated and cut in one action by the installer. Jack
wiring label shall provide installation color codes for both
T568A and T568B wiring schemes. The modular hardware
shall t all other installed telecommunications wallplates,
outlets and eld-congurable patch panels and patch blocks.
