APPLICATION
Patching and connecting cords for Category 5e UTP
structured cabling systems feature slim-line boots ideal
for high-density environments. Uses include high
megabit applications such as Gigabit Ethernet and 622
Mbps ATM.
SPECIFICATION
The patch cords shall provide Category 5e performance
for cross connecting Category 5e equipment and/or
backbone cables to high performance Category 5
horizontal cable systems. The patch cords shall be 24
AWG stranded UTP, with a standard 8 position
modular plug and colored strain relief boot on each end.
The cords shall be available in 3-, 5-, 7-, 10-, 15-, and
20-foot lengths.The cords must meet performance and
assembly requirements per TIA/EIA-568-B.

DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS
• TIA/EIA channel performance limits the total length of
patching and equipment cords to 32 feet (10 meters) per
TIA/EIA-568-B

• Available in 6 standard lengths (custom lengths available)
STANDARDS COMPLIANCE
Meets all applicable standards: UL Listed; complies with all
TIA/EIA-568-B requirements; and meets FCC Part 68
PHYSICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Materials: 24 AWG, Category 5e stranded UTP, standard
modular non-keyed, 8-position 8-conductor
plug, 94V-0 rated.
Dimensions: 3-, 5-, 7-, 10-, 15- and 20- foot lengths.
Color: Black, Green, Blue, Red, Grey, White, Yellow
with color-matched boots.
