REMOTE INPUT MODULES
Hi-Fi 2 has 8 source inputs, which can either be
local at the Hi-Fi 2 amplifier or remote using a
RIM connected to Cat6. 4 RIMs come with the
Hi-Fi 2 amplifiers for the most popular remote
inputs (home theater, kitchen TV, iPod dock, den
entertainment center). More RIMs are available
separately. The 8 local inputs on the amplifier
board are for use with a broadcast, Internet,
satellite radio tuners, and other sources.
BLUETOOTH RIM
Bluetooth RIMs can wirelessly play streaming
or stored music from your iPhone, iPad, tablet,
notebook computer, etc. The device also
features an input module for wired devices
like radio tuners and DVD changers. Instead
of racks of equipment, it can be discreetly
mounted on or in a wall.

Expansion amplifier adds 8 additional more
zones. The all-new Hi-Fi 2 Expander adds 8
zones of amplification for a total of 16. This
expansion amplifier features a form factor
similar to the main amplifier, and is available in
a either a vented enclosure or on a structured
wiring backplate. A single ribbon cable (provided
with the expansion amplifier) connects the
two together, linking sources and control with
the main amplifier. The expansion amplifier
is required to be mounted below the main
amplifier, within 6 inches. Expansion amplifiers
are shipped with 8 VSCs. The expansion amplifier
has variable line outputs for zones 9 and 16.
APP FOR IOS AND ANDROID
Leviton has developed stand-alone apps
for controlling the Hi-Fi2 system. Have
total control over your audio experience by
selecting a music source to play in a single
room or throughout the entire home. Adjust
volume levels throughout the home, change
tracks, power on/o and more. These apps are
available free and have zero subscription fees.
REQUIRE A SMALLER DISTRIBUTED
AUDIO SYSTEM?
Leviton also oers a 4 zone, 4 source
version of the Hi-Fi 2. This unit is incredibly
compact and is designed for townhomes,
condominiums, and small oce buildings. The
4x4 version mounts half-width in a Leviton
Structured Media Center.
INTEGRATE AND AUTOMATE
The Hi-Fi 2 is excellent stand-alone, but can
also integrate with Leviton Omni security &
automation systems and Leviton BitWise AV
control systems. Turn all zones o at a certain
time each night, press one button to enact
a “party mode” and more.
When connected to an Omni controller with
a Two-Way Voice Module installed, Hi-Fi 2
allows a Leviton controller to broadcast system
announcements over all audio zones.
The Two-Way Voice Module will allow someone
to broadcast messages through the phone
by picking it up and dialing #832. If enabled,
messages will broadcast through a zone, even if
it is turned o. If turned on, it will mute the zone.
