Outdoor Occupancy Sensors
Outdoor Occupancy Sensors
BASIC OPERATION
Passive Infrared (PIR) outdoor motion sensors pro-
vide outstanding reliable value in security lighting,
as well as convenience, safety, and energy sav-
ings for a wide range of commercial and industrial
applications. These Outdoor Motion Sensors are
designed to be mounted at a height of 8-10 feet
and have similar maximum ranges, although the
detection pattern and field-of-view varies with
regard to the model number. Each device has a
sensor and switch incorporated into one unit, and
is installed as part of a lighting circuit. It will turn
light fixture(s) ON when it senses movement in its
field-of-view. It will also turn the same fixture(s)
OFF from a user-determined time interval after
motion is no longer detected.
APPLICATIONS
Ideal for a wide range of commercial and
industrial applications including parking areas,
storage facilities, warehouses, loading docks,
marinas, garages, walkways, campus grounds,
meat lockers, walk-in refrigerators/freezers,
and outbuildings.
FEATURES
• Adjustable sensitivity and immunity to RFI
signals to prevent false triggering
• Ambient light override prevents lights from
turning ON when there is ample natural light
(PS110 and PS200)
• Surge suppression minimizes likelihood of dam-
age due to electrical surges (PS110 and PS200)
• Temperature compensation feature ensures
uniform performance in extreme hot or cold
weather and during temperature fluctuations
(PS110 and PS200)
• Sensor neck adjustment allows accurate
monitoring: 110° vertical, 180° horizontal, 110°
rotational
• Adjustable delayed-OFF time settings from 20
seconds (for test mode) to 15 minutes
• Provides test and continuous modes; test
mode simulates automatic operation with
short delayed-OFF time for easy adjustments;
continuous mode enables manual override for
constant “lights ON” operation (when used
with standard ON/OFF switch)
• Rugged impact resistant plastic: UV-stabilized
plastic resists damage and discoloration
• Water resistant housing for reliable, long term
performance
• 1/2 inch threaded nipple for use with standard
NEMA weather-proof fixture fitting
• When mounted at 10 feet high, the sensor has
a range of 50 feet
