S1 + DOLBY
• When a 5.1-channel Dolby Digital source is present, pressing
and holding the S1 button while pressing and releasing the
DOLBY button activates the DOLBY DIGITAL EX or DOLBY
DIGITAL listening mode. Subsequent presses adjust the EX
DECODING parameter, cycling through the AUTO, ON and
OFF settings.
S1 + dts
• When a DTS(-ES) source is present, pressing and holding the
S1 button while pressing and releasing the dts button
adjusts the ES DECODING parameter, cycling through the
AUTO, ON and OFF settings.
S1 + THX
• When a 5.1-channel Dolby Digital source is present, pressing
and holding the S1 button while pressing and releasing the
THX button activates the 5.1 THX, 5.1 THX SurEX or 5.1 THX
Ultra2 listening mode.
TWO-LINE STATUS
The two-line status shown to the right indicates
the current input, listening mode, input source
and volume level. Pressing the Stat button
displays the two-line status for 2 seconds. The two-line status also
displays whenever the MC-4 detects a change in status.
The ON-SCREEN DISPLAY menu STATUS parameter controls the
length of time for which the two-line status displays in the
on-screen display. The ON-SCREEN DISPLAY menu POSITION
parameter controls the position of the two-line status on the
on-screen display.
Note:
When the display device is connected to a component
video output connector and the ADVANCED menu
COMPONENT OSD parameter is set to OFF, the
display device does not show the on-screen display,
including the two-line status.
STATUS MENUS
Pressing and holding the S1 button while pressing and releasing
the Stat button opens the STATUS menu, which provides
information about the current input source and listening mode.
STATUS menus are available for 2-channel, Dolby Digital, DTS(-ES),
5.1-channel analog and digital sources.
Unlike most other menus, STATUS menus cannot be opened
through the selection of menu options. In addition, STATUS menu
parameters cannot be adjusted.
To open and navigate the STATUS menu for the current input
source:
1. Press and hold the remote control S1 button.
2. While holding the S1 button, press the Stat button. The first
page of the STATUS menu for the current input source will
open on the on-screen and front panel displays.
