Battery safety
Follow the warning information on the battery packaging.
Do not attempt to recharge your hearing aid batteries.
Do not leave batteries in your hearing aid for long periods of time,
when not in use. This may cause leakage and erosion.
Batteries are not a toy. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Ensure that batteries do not come in contact with water.
Contents of an opened battery may cause chemical burns to the
mouth, oesophagus, and gastrointestinal tract. Drink plenty of
water. Avoid vomiting and seek immediate medical attention.
Keep batteries away from excessive heat such as heaters, fires
and solar radiation as batteries may rupture and release corrosive
materials.
In the event that a battery ruptures, flush exposed skin with
lukewarm water for a minimum of 15 minutes. Obtain immediate
medical attention for any exposure to your eyes.
Do not touch the contents of a ruptured or dismantled battery.
Store batteries at room temperature in a dry place.
