Lexmark lO-Year Wear Warranty and
l-Year Manufacturing Defect Warranty
This limited warranty applies to purchases of Lexmark Carpet for indoor installations. This limited
warranty applies only to designated carpet that has been properly installed and maintained within CRI
guidelines.
lO-YEAR WEAR WARRANTY
Lexmark warrants all of its products against excessive wear for a period of 10 years. By abrasive wear is
meant fiber loss of more than 10% of the surface pile weight from the carpet through normal abrasion
only, not matting or crushing of the carpet pile in any area, nor staining, soiling, fading or change in
carpet appearance, nor fiber loss due to abnormal usage of the carpet. After 5 years the replacement
cost is prorated.
1-YEAR MANUFACTURING DEFECT WARRANTY
Lexmark warrants against latent manufacturing defects in workmanship or materials for a period of 1
year from the date of installation. This warranty does not include:
1. Disfigurement or damage caused by abnormal use or any damage to the carpet not arising out
of defect in the carpet. For example, the warranty does not cover tears, burns, pulls,
cuts, installation on stairs or damage resulting from improper cleaning agents or methods,
or damage in transit.
2. Improper installation or any condition that would have been visible upon inspection prior
to installation.
3. Any condition resulting from other than ordinary wear, or from any use for which the product
was not designed.
4. Any areas where roller skates, ski boots, golf shoes, chair casters, and abuse by any athletic
equipment.
5. Differential fading or color change from shading, pile crush, fuzzing, watermarking/pooling, dye
lot differences and soiling.
In the event of a manufacturing defect, Lexmark will furnish replacement carpet, of equivalent quality,
for the affected area at no charge, excluding installation.
Lexmark has found that the appearance and lifespan of our products can be enhanced by using
recommended padding.
