CAUTION—SHOCK HAZARD: If you are accessing the controller board or installing optional hardware

or memory devices sometime after setting up the printer, then turn the printer o, and unplug the power

cord from the electrical outlet before continuing. If you have any other devices attached to the printer,

then turn them o as well, and unplug any cables going into the printer.

1 Unpack the optional tray, and then remove all packing material and the dust cover.

2 Label the trays with the supplied tray number labels from the top down.

Note: The standard 250‑sheet tray must be labeled as Tray 1.

3 Place the tray near the printer.

Note: If you are installing both the optional trays, then the optional 550‑sheet tray must always be

installed as the ﬁrst tray when conﬁguring from the bottom to the top.

4 Align the 650‑sheet duo tray with the optional 550‑sheet tray, and then lower it into place.
