Channel Banks Setup Channel Banks Overview Channel Banks enable institution administrators to create tiered channel programming on patient in-room TVs. Each channel bank may offer a custom channel lineup for a pre-determined fee. The top tier generally contains the most programming (premium, etc.), 2nd tier = lesser programming, 3rd tier = basic programming, etc.
Channel Banks Setup (Cont.) Channel Banks Worksheets Use Channel Banks Worksheets (see page 26) to create channel status charts as part of the setup process. See also sample charts on page 25. On the channel status charts, show the status for each channel in all channel banks. This then becomes the patient entertainment programming offerings plan.
Channel Banks Setup (Cont.) Inactive TV Setup To create an inactive TV display on Channel Bank 4, select NORMAL-DELETED for each channel in Channel Bank 4. When the TV is powered ON by the patient, an “Inactive TV Call Attendant” message will appear on the screen, and after a few moments the TV will turn itself OFF. This will prompt the patient to arrange for an available programming package on Channel Bank 1, 2, or 3.
Channel Banks Worksheet Use this worksheet to plan your program packages. (Photocopy additional worksheets as needed.
Cloning Overview IMPORTANT CLONING INFORMATION There are three options for cloning a Master TV Setup (including a TV that has been set up using the Express Script Installer Menu Wizard): • Using a USB memory device • Using a TLL-1100A clone programmer • Using a LT2002 clone programmer Each option is described in further detail on the pages that follow. As you perform cloning procedures, be sure to complete each task as indicated.
USB Cloning Procedure Learning / Teaching a Master TV Setup using a USB Memory Device USB Cloning Notes • Read the IMPORTANT CLONING INFORMATION on page 27 before beginning any cloning procedures. • You may edit a filename as part of the Learning procedure; however, a file with edited contents will not be recognized. • It is not possible to clone a Master TV’s clock using a USB memory device. Either set a Target TV’s clock manually or use the Auto Clock setting in the TV setup menus.
