MAKING CONNECTIONS Antenna connection Connect the TV to a wall antenna socket with an RF cable (75 Ω). This section on MAKING CONNECTIONS mainly uses diagrams for the 32/42/47LM58** models. Connect various external devices to the TV and switch input modes to select an external device. For more information of external device’s connection, refer to the manual provided with each device.
26 MAKING CONNECTIONS HDMI connection (Only satellite models) Transmits the digital video and audio signals from an external device to the TV. Connect the external device and the TV with the HDMI cable as shown. Connect the TV to a satellite dish to a satellite socket with a satellite RF cable (75 Ω). Choose any HDMI input port to connect. It does not matter which port you use.
MAKING CONNECTIONS 27 Component connection Transmits the digital video signal from an external device to the TV. Connect the external device and the TV with the DVI-HDMI cable as shown.
