Descrizione tastiera Di seguito viene riportata una descrizione dei tasti del telefono. Descrizione tastiera Tasto Descrizione Tasto FINE / ACCENSIONE Utilizzato per terminare o rifiutare una chiamata. Viene usato anche come tasto di accensione e spegnimento, tenendolo premuto per alcuni secondi. Premere per cancellare i caratteri o i numeri inseriti o uscire dai menu. Tasto di conferma Tasto Descrizione Tasto laterale su / giù Quando lo sportellino è aperto, è possibile controllare il volume dei toni di tastiera in modalità standby e il volume durante una chiamata.

Informazioni sul display Di seguito vengono elencate le icone visualizzate sul display e la relativa descrizione. Descrizione icone Icone / Indicatore Descrizione Indica il livello del segnale di rete. Chiamata attiva. Servizio GPRS presente e disponibile. Indica che siete in servizio di roaming. La linea 1 o 2 è in uso per chiamate in uscita (solo per abbonati al servizio a due linee). Allarme sveglia impostato e attivato. Indica il Iivello di carica della batteria. Avete ricevuto un messaggio di testo.
Preparazione del telefono 1. Inserimento della scheda SIM Localizzare la sede per la scheda SIM sulla parte posteriore del telefono. Per inserire la scheda SIM: 1. Rimuovere la batteria, se è presente. 2. Inserire la scheda SIM nella sua sede, sotto i due dentini metallizzati, con i contatti dorati verso il basso e l ’angolo tagliato in alto verso sinistra. 2. Rimozione della scheda SIM Per rimuovere la scheda SIM, seguire la procedura riportata di seguito. 1. Rimuovere la batteria, se installata. 2.
Preparazione del telefono 3. Installazione della batteria 1. Inserire i supporti di appoggio sotto la batteria nel relativo contenitore. 2. Quindi esercitare una pressione al centro della batteria per portarla in posizione. 4. Ricarica della batteria Prima di collegare l’adattatore da viaggio al telefono verificare che la batteria sia installata correttamente. Preparazione del telefono 18 1. Inserire un’estremità del cavo dell’adattatore sotto al telefono. 2.
5. Disconnessione dell’adattatore Per scollegare l’adattatore dal telefono premere sui pulsanti laterali del connettore. Attenzione Nota In caso di carica anomala della batteria... • Riprovare a caricare la batteria dopo aver acceso e spento il telefono. • Rimuovere e ricollegare la batteria e riprovare con la procedura di ricarica. Preparazione del telefono • Prima di essere utilizzata, la batteria fornita con il telefono deve essere caricata completamente.
Invio e ricezione chiamate Effettuare una chiamata 1. Digitare il numero di telefono incluso il prefisso. Per cancellare un numero, premere il tasto C. 2. Premere S per chiamare il numero. 3. Premere E per concludere la chiamata. Chiamata con prefisso internazionale 1. Tenere premuto il tasto 0 per il prefisso internazionale. Il carattere +può essere sostituito con il codice di accesso internazionale “00”. 2. Immettere il prefisso della nazione, il prefisso urbano e il numero di telefono. 3.
Menu Chiamate Il menu visualizzato sul display del telefono durante una chiamata è diverso dal menu principale in modalità Standby. Le sue opzioni sono descritte qui di seguito. 1 Durante una chiamata 1-1 Mettere una chiamata in attesa Premere il tasto S [INVIO] per mettere una chiamata in attesa o riprenderla. Durante la ricezione o l ’invio di una chiamata, premere il tasto S [INVIO] per metterla in attesa. Quando una chiamata è in attesa, premere il tasto S [INVIO] per riprenderla.
Menu Chiamate 1-4 Rispondere ad una chiamata in arrivo Per rispondere a una chiamata in arrivo quando il telefono suona, premere il tasto S [INVIO]. Il telefono avverte anche di chiamate in arrivo quando è già in corso una chiamata. Viene generato un segnale acustico e il display mostra che c ’è una chiamata in attesa. Questa funzione, denominata Avviso di chiamata, è disponibile solo se il vostro gestore di rete la supporta.
1-7 Attivare / Disattivare toni DTMF durante una chiamata Per attivare i toni DTMF durante una chiamata (ad esempio per permettere al telefono di usare un centralino automatico) selezionare il tasto < [Opzioni] e di seguito DTMF Attivo. Selezionare DTMF inattivo per disattivare i toni DTMF. 1-8 Richiamare il Menu principale Le opzioni del menu principale per i Messaggi e il Sim Tool-kit possono essere raggiunti dal menu Chiamate selezionando il tasto < [Opzioni] e di seguito Menu principale.
Menu Chiamate 2-1 Iniziare una seconda chiamata E’ possibile iniziare una seconda chiamata mentre una chiamata è già in corso. Inserire il secondo numero e premere il tasto S [INVIO]. Quando l’utente risponde alla seconda chiamata, la prima viene messa automaticamente in attesa. Per passare da una chiamata all’altra, selezionare il tasto < [Opzioni] e Scambia.
2-7 Mettere in attesa una chiamata nella chiamata conferenza Per mettere in attesa un utente selezionato (il cui numero è visualizzato sullo schermo) di una chiamata multiparty in attesa, selezionare il tasto < [Opzioni] e Conferenza / Escludi. 2-8 Chiamata privata all ’interno di una chiamata conferenza Per iniziare una conversazione in privato con un partecipante a una chiamata in conferenza, visualizzare il numero del partecipante e selezionare il tasto < [Opzioni] e Conferenza / Privato.
Codici di accesso Per evitare l’uso non autorizzato del telefono, è possibile utilizzare i codici di accesso descritti in questa sezione. I codici di accesso (tranne i codici PUK e PUK2) possono essere modificati dal [Menu 4-5-5]. Codice PIN (da 4 a 8 cifre) Il codice PIN (Personal Identification Number) protegge la scheda SIM dall’uso non autorizzato ed è solitamente riportato sui documenti consegnati insieme alla scheda SIM.

Messaggi [Menu 1] Questo menu contiene le funzioni relative a SMS (Short Message Service), MMS (Multimedia Message Service), segreteria telefonica e messaggi di rete (Cell Broadcast). Scrivi SMS [Menu 1-1] Durante la scrittura è possibile verificare il numero di singoli messaggi che si stanno inviando. 1. Accedere al menu Messaggi premendo < [OK]. 2. Per scrivere un nuovo messaggio, selezionare Scrivi SMS. 3. Per rendere l’immissione del testo più naturale, utilizzare la modalità T9.
Messaggi [Menu 1] Inserisci • Simbolo È possibile aggiungere caratteri speciali. • Immagine È possibile inserire le immagini di Default o altre immagini disponibili presenti in Cartella inbox in un breve messaggio. • Suono È possibile inserire i suoni disponibili in un breve messaggio. • Modello di testo È possibile utilizzare Modello di testo già impostati nel telefono. • Rubrica È possibile aggiungere numeri di telefono o indirizzi e-mail nella Rubrica.
Opzioni • Invia Invia il messaggio di testo. 1. Inserire il numero del destinatario. 2. Premere il tasto D per aggiungere più destinatari. 3. È possibile aggiungere un numero di telefono nella rubrica. 4. Premere < dopo avere inserito i numeri. • Salva Memorizza i messaggi nella cartella In uscita . • Carattere È possibile selezionare Dimensioni e Stile dei caratteri. • Colore È possibile selezionare il Colore del testo e lo sfondo.
Messaggi [Menu 1] Scrivi MMS [Menu 1-2] È possibile scrivere e modificare messaggi multimediali, controllando la dimensione del messaggio. 1. Accedere al menu Messaggi premendo < [OK]. 2. Per scrivere un nuovo messaggio, selezionare Scrivi MMS. 3. È possibile creare un nuovo messaggio o scegliere uno dei modelli di messaggi multimediali disponibili. 4. Inserire l'oggetto del messaggio e premere OK. 5.
• Imposta formato pagina - Imposta timer È possibile impostare un timer per fotogrammi, testi, foto e suoni. - Inverti testo e foto È possibile rimuovere foto o suoni dalla pagina. Questa opzione viene visualizzata soltanto quando esistono contenuti multimediali. • Rimuovere contenuti multimediali È possibile rimuovere foto o suoni nel fotogramma. Questa opzione viene visualizzata soltanto quando esiste un supporto. • Aggiungi dizionario T9 È possibile aggiungere delle parole nuove.
Messaggi [Menu 1] Uso del metodo scittura T9 Il metodo di scrittura intuitivo consente di digitare un testo velocemente. A differenza della digitazione di testo tradizionale, è necessario solo premere una volta il tasto con la lettera corrispondente. Questo metodo di scrittura si basa su un dizionario incorporato al quale è possible aggiungere nuove parole. • Scrittura di parole utilizzando T9 1. Inziare a scrivere una parola utilizzando I tasti da 2 a 9.
Inoltre il telefono supporta tre modalità: Predittiva (T9Abc,T9ABC, T9abc), Multitap (ABC, abc), Numerica (123). Per cambiare modalità, premere il tasto #. In alternativa : Premere il tasto * e selezionare il simbolo da inserire. Selezionare il carattere desiderato e premere Seleziona. 2. Una volta terminato di scrivere la parola, controllare che sia corretta. Se la parola è corretta : premere 0 (spazio) e scrivere la parola successiva.
Messaggi [Menu 1] Ricevuti [Menu 1-3] Si riceve un avviso quando sono presenti messaggi non letti. Essi verranno memorizzati nella casella Ricevuti (Inbox). Nella casella Inbox (Messaggi ricevuti), ogni messaggio viene identificato tramite icone. Per dettagli, consultare la relativa icona di riferimento.
Rispondi È possibile rispondere al mittente. Inoltra Il messaggio selezionato può anche essere inoltrato ad altri destinatari. Richiama È possibile richiamare il mittente. Cancella È possibile cancellare il messaggio corrente. Estrai È possibile estrarre foto, messaggi vocali e di testo. Essi verranno salvati nella cartella Cartella inbox o nella rubrica.
Messaggi [Menu 1] Inviati [Menu 1-4] In questa cartella è possibile visualizzare i messaggio inviati e non inviati. Nel caso di messaggi inviati, è possibile visualizzare lo stato della consegna. La consultazione è la stessa dei messaggi in arrivo. Segreteria [Menu 1-5] Questo servizio è attivo solo se supportato dal gestore di rete. Quando si riceve un messaggio vocale, un'icona viene visualizzata sul display. Contattare il gestore di rete per informazioni sul servizio e per configurare il telefono adeguatamente. Chiama segreteria [Menu 1-5-1] È possibile ascoltare i messaggi nella propria segreteria telefonica. Numero segreteria [Menu 1-5-2] 1. Tenere premuto il tasto 1 in modalit à standby. 2. È possibile accedere ai seguenti sottomenu.
Messaggi [Menu 1] Leggi [Menu 1-6-1] 1. Quando si riceve un messaggio di rete, selezionare Leggi per visualizzarlo sul display.Per leggere un altro messaggio, scorrere i tasti L , R o < [Cambia]. 2. Il messaggio verrà visualizzato finché non ne verrà selezionato un altro. Ricevi [Menu 1-6-2] • Si Selezionare questo menu, per abilitare la funzione di ricezione messaggi di tipo informativo. • No Selezionare questo menu, per disattivare la funzione di ricezione messaggi di tipo informativo.
Tipo messaggi (A seconda della rete e dell’ abbonamento) [Menu 1-6-5] In questo menu vanno specificate le informazioni relative ai messaggi di rete che si desiderano ricevere. • Aggiungi nome È possibile aggiungere i numeri relativi al servizio messaggi informativi nella memoria del telefono con il relativo nome. • Mostra lista È possibile visualizzare la lista dei messaggi di rete registrati. Premendo < [Opzioni], è possibile modificare e cancellare la lista dei messaggi CB.
Messaggi [Menu 1] Biglietto da visita [Menu1-7-3] È possibile creare la propria business card inserendo nome, numero di telefono, fax e indirizzo e-mail. Impostazioni [Menu 1-8] SMS [Menu 1-8-1] • Tipo messaggio Testo, Voce, Fax, Paging locale, X.400, E-mail, ERMES In genere il tipo di messaggio è impostato su Testo.Testo può essere sostituito con i formati alternativi, adatti al dispositivo che riceverà il messaggio. Contattare il gestore di rete per la disponibilità di questa funzione.
MMS [Menu 1-8-2] • Validitá Questo servizio di rete consente di impostare il periodo di tempo durante il quale i messaggi di testo rimangono memorizzati nel centro messaggi, mentre vengono fatti alcuni tentativi per inviarli. • Rapporto di stato Impostando Sì in questo menu, è possibile controllare quando e se il messaggio è stato correttamente inviato e recapitato. • Ricezione automatica Selezionare ‘Si’, per ricevere messaggi multimediali automaticamente.
Chiamate [Menu 2] Perse [Menu 2-1] La funzione consente di visualizzare l ’elenco degli ultimi 10 numeri telefonici delle chiamate a cui non si è data risposta. Ricevute [Menu 2-2] La funzione consente di visualizzare un elenco di 20 numeri telefonici relativi alle ultime chiamate ricevute e di eventuali chiamate rifiutate. Inviate [Menu 2-3] Il menu mostra gli ultimi 20 numeri chiamati. Tutte [Menu 2-4] Lista di tutte le chiamate inviate, ricevute e perse.
Chiamate [Menu 2] Timer chiamate [Menu 2-6-1] Questa funzione consente di visualizzare la durata, in ore, minuti e secondi, dell ’ultima chiamata, di tutte le chiamate, delle chiamate in arrivo e delle chiamate in uscita. È anche possibile azzerare i timer delle chiamate. 1. Premere < [Menu] nella modalità standby. 2. Premere 2 per l’accesso diretto o usare L e R per selezionare il menu Chiamate. 3. Selezionare Timer chiamate e premere < [OK].
Chiamate [Menu 2] Impostazioni [Menu 2-6-3] [SIM Dependent] • Imposta tariffa Questo servizio di rete consente di limitare i costi delle chiamate a un certo numero di scatti o a una certa cifra impostando il valore iniziale del credito residuo. È possibile effettuare o ricevere chiamate finché non viene superato il credito disponibile. Per inserire i simboli @, £, $ cancellare l’intera stringa della valuta e quindi premere il tasto * . Per cambiare simbolo, premere nuovamente il tasto * .
Info GPRS [Menu 2-7] Il terminale registra il volume del traffico dati trasmessi e ricevuti tramite la rete GPRS. Inoltre e possibile visualizzare la durata totale delle connessioni dati. 1. Premendo D. 2. Scorrere fino all informazione che si desidera controllare. Le opzioni incluse sono le seguenti. Durata della chiamata [Menu 2-7-1] È possibile visualizzare la durata della Ultima chiamata o di Tutte. È inoltre possibile azzerare i timer delle chiamate.
Profili audio [Menu 3] In questo menu è possibile selezionare e personalizzare il profilo suoneria del telefono in base a vari ambienti e situazioni di utilizzo. 1. Premere < [Menu] in modalità Standby. 2. Premere 3 per accesso diretto L o R , per selezionare il menu Profili audio. 3. Inoltre, è possibile accedere direttamente in questo menù premendo il tasto L in standby. Vibrazione [Menu 3-1] Possibile impostare la modalità Vibrazione nel menu Profili, se necessario.
Profili audio [Menu 3] Nota • Se si utilizza l ’auricolare o il kit viva voce il profilo corrispondente verrà automaticamente selezionato. I parametri di questi profili possono comunque essere personalizzati. Attivo [Menu 3-x-1] Attiva il profilo selezionato. Personalizza [Menu 3-x-2] Ognuno di essi ha un sottomenu corrispondente come visualizzato di seguito, ad eccezione di Vibrazione.
Profili audio [Menu 3] Avviso SMS Consente di impostare il modo di notifica della ricezione di un messaggio del profilo che si sta modificando. Tono messaggio Consente di impostare il volume della suoneria dei messaggi in base all’ambiente. Volume tastiera Consente di impostare il volume del tono dei tasti del profilo che si sta modificando. Tono tastiera Allows to set the keypad tone for adjusting environment.
Impostazioni [Menu 4] E ’ possibile impostare i seguenti menu a seconda delle vostre necessità e preferenze. 1. Premere < [Menu] in modalità Standby. 2. Premere 4 per accesso diretto a Impostazioni. Sveglia [Menu 4-1] È possibile impostare fino a 5 sveglie che si accendono in momenti specifici. 1. Selezionare Attiva e inserire l’orario della sveglia desiderato. 2. Selezionare il periodo di ripetizione: Una volta, Lun~Ven, Lun~Sab, Ogni giorno. 3.
Impostazioni [Menu 4] Telefono [Menu 4-3] È possibile impostare le funzioni relative al telefono. Impostazioni display [Menu 4-3-1] • Sfondo Per selezionare un ’immagine per lo sfondo nella modalità standby. - Default È possibile selezionare una foto o un disegno animato da impostare come sfondo, premere L o R . - Cartella inbox È possibile selezionare una foto o un disegno animato come sfondo. • Ricezione È possibile impostare un disegno animato alla ricezione di una chiamata.
• Contrasto LCD È possibile impostare il contrasto desiderato per il display premendo L , R. • Finestra informazioni È possibile visualizzare le informazioni relative alle impostazioni. • Colore Menu È possibile selezionare un set di colori per il menu. Colore Sub-LCD [Menu 4-3-2] • Standby È possibile selezionare il colore della retroilluminazione del display LCD nella modalità di standby.
Impostazioni [Menu 4] • Se occupato Trasferisce le chiamate vocali quando il telefono è occupato. • No risposta Trasferisce le chiamate vocali a cui non viene data risposta. • Non servito Trasferisce le chiamate vocali quando il telefono è spento o ci si trova fuori dal raggio di copertura della rete. • Tutte dati Trasferisce tutte le chiamate dati in ingresso ad un altro numero. • Tutte fax Trasferisce tutte le chiamate fax in ingresso ad un altro numero.
- Annulla Ogni menu include questo sottomenu per cancellare il trasferimento corrispondente. - Verifica stato Controlla lo stato del servizio corrispondente. Modo risposta [Menu 4-4-2] • Folder attivo Selezionando questa opzione si risponde alla chiamata in arrivo solo aprendo il folder. • Qualsiasi tasto Selezionando questa opzione si risponde alla chiamata in arrivo premendo un tasto qualsiasi tranne il tasto E [Fine].
Impostazioni [Menu 4] Avviso chiamata [Menu 4-4-4] (questo servizio dipende dalla rete) • Attiva Selezionare per attivare il servizio di chiamata in attesa. • Annulla Selezionare per disattivare il servizio di chiamata in attesa. • Verifica stato Visualizza lo stato del servizio di avviso di chiamata. Allarme durata [Menu 4-4-5] Selezionando Sì, è possibile controllare la durata della chiamata mediante un bip emesso ad ogni minuto durante la chiamata stessa.
Seleziona linea [Menu 4-4-8] La funzione è disponibile solo se il gestore telefonico supporta ilServizio a due linee (ALS). In questo caso vengono registrati duenumeri telefonici indipendenti per la stessa scheda SIM. L ’impostazione è necessaria per selezionare la linea di utilizzo per l ’invio delle chiamate. Se questa funzione è disponibile viene visualizzato il seguente menu.

Questa funzione richiede una password di rete (fornita dall ’operatore) per il controllo del servizio. Sono disponibili i seguenti sottomenu: • Tutte uscita Per bloccare tutte le chiamate in uscita. • Internazionale in uscita Per bloccare tutte le chiamate internazionali in uscita.
Impostazioni [Menu 4] Imposta FDN [Menu 4-5-4] (dispende dalla scheda SIM) È possibile limitare le chiamate in uscita ai numeri telefonici memorizzati nell ’elenco numeri fissi FDN. Tali numeri sono protetti dal codice PIN2. • Attiva È possibile limitare le chiamate in uscita a numeri di telefono selezionati. • Annulla È possibile effettuare chiamate soltanto ai numeri selezionati. • Lista FDN È possibile visualizzare l'elenco dei numeri di chiamata fissi salvati.
Automatica [Menu 4-6-1] Se si seleziona modalità automatica, il telefono ricerca e seleziona automaticamente una rete. Una volta selezionato questa opzione, il telefono resta impostato su ricerca Automatica anche in caso di accensione e spegnimento. Manuale [Menu 4-6-2] Il telefono propone la lista delle reti disponibili e le visualizza. A questo punto è possibile scegliere la rete che si desidera utilizzare.
Organiser [Menu 5] Agenda [Menu 5-1] Entrando in questo menu viene visualizzato un Calendario. Nella parte superiore del display sono presenti delle sezioni per la data. Nella parte inferiore del display sono presenti delle sezioni per le icone (appuntamenti, memo). Quando si modifica la data, il calendario viene aggiornato in base alla data immessa. Ogni volta che si cambia la data, il calendario viene aggiornato in base ad essa. Il cursore si posiziona sempre sulla data corrente.

Ricercare una voce premendo <. 4. Selezionare < [Ricerca]. 5. Per modificare, visualizzare, cancellare, copiare e richiamare una voce, selezionare <[Opzioni]. Viene visualizzato il seguente menu.

Organiser [Menu 5] Gruppi [Menu 5-2-3] Per un solo gruppo è possibile elencare fino a 20 membri. Esistono 7 gruppi diversi ai quali è possibile associare dei nomi della rubrica. 1. In modalità standby, premere > [Nomi]. 2. Scorrere la voce Gruppi e premere < [OK], per visualizzare l’elenco di ogni gruppo. 3. Viene visualizzato l ’elenco di ogni gruppo < [OK]. • Elenco nomi Consente di visualizzare i membri del gruppo selezionato. • Suoneria gruppo Per scegliere una suoneria del gruppo.
Selezione rapida [Menu 5-2-4] È possibile associare ai tasti da 2 a 9 a un nome della rubrica Per chiamare direttamente, premere il tasto per 2 - 3 secondi. 1. Cancella tutto [Menu 5-2-8] È possibile cancellare tutte le voci presenti nella scheda SIM, nella memoria del telefono e nell’elenco delle chiamate vocali. Key Description The following shows key components of the phone. Vibration key You can activate the vibration directly by holding down this key. Display Information The screen displays several icons. There are described below. On-Screen Icons Icon/Indicator Description Tells you the strength of the network signal. Call is connected. You can use GPRS service. Shows that you are using a roaming service. Line 1/2 is in use for outgoing calls – If you subscribe to the Two Line Service. The alarm has been set and is on. Tells you the status of the battery. You have received a text message. You have received a voice message.
Installation 1. Inserting the SIM Card Locate the SIM card socket in the back of the phone. Follow the steps below to install the SIM card. 1. Remove the battery if attached. 2. Slide the SIM card into the slot, under the silvery holders, with the golden connectors facing down and the cut corner to the right. 2. Removing the SIM Card Follow the steps below to Remove the SIM card. 1. Remove the battery if attached. 2. Take out the SIM card from the slot.
Installation 3. Installing the Battery 1. Position the lugs on the bottom of the battery into the retaining holder. 2. Then push to the half of the battery into position. 4. Charging the Battery To connect the travel adapter to the phone, you must have installed the battery. 1. With the arrow facing you as shown in the diagram push the plug on the battery adapter into the socket on the bottom of the phone until it clicks into place. Getting Started 18 2.

Making and Answering Calls Making a call 1. Key in phone number including the area code. If you want to delete number, press C. 2. Press S to call the number. 3. Press E to end the call. International Calls 1. Press and hold the 0 key for the international prefix. “+” character may replace with the international access code. 2. In call Menu The menu displayed on the handset screen during a call is different to the default main menu reached from the idle screen, and the options are described here. 1 During a call 1-1 Putting a Call on Hold When a call is made or answered, press the S [Send] to place it on hold. When a call is held, press the S [Send] to make it active. 1-2 Making a Second Call You can get a dial number from phonebook to make a second call. Press > [Names] then select Search.
In call Menu 1-4 Answering an Incoming Call To answer an incoming call when the handset is ringing, simply press the S [Send] key. The handset is also able to warn you of an incoming call while you are already in a call. A tone sounds in the earpiece, and the display will show that a second call is waiting. This feature, known as Call Waiting, is only available if your network supports it. For details of how to activate and deactivate it see Call waiting [Menu 4-4-4].
1-7 Switching DTMF Tones on During a Call To turn DTMF tones on during a call, for example, to allow your handset to make use of an automated switchboard, select < [Options], then DTMF On. DTMF tones can be turned off the same way. 1-8 Calling up Messages and SIM Tool kit main menu The Messages and SIM Tool kit main menu options can be reached from the in-call menu by selecting < [Options]. SIM Tool kit menu is shown only when SIM in the handset supports SIM Tool kit service.
In call Menu 2-1 Making a Second Call You can make a second call while you are already in a call. To do this, enter the second number and press S [Send]. When you get second call the first call is automatically put on hold. You can swap between calls by selecting <[Options] then Swap. 2-2 Setting up a Multiparty Call You can connect a call on hold to the currently active call to form a multiparty call by selecting <[Options] then Multiparty/Join all.
2-7 Putting a Member of a Multiparty Call on Hold To place one selected caller (whose number is currently displayed on-screen) of a multiparty call on hold, select <[Options] then Multiparty/Exclude. 2-8 A Private Call in a Multiparty Call To have a private call with one caller of a multiparty call, display the number of the caller you wish to talk to on the screen, then select <[Options] and Multiparty/Private to put all the other callers on hold.
Access Codes You can use the access codes described in this section to avoid unauthorized use of your phone. The access codes (except PUK and PUK2 codes) can be changed by using [Menu 4-5-5]. PIN code (4 to 8 digits) The PIN (Personal Identification Number) code protects your SIM card against unauthorized use. The PIN code is usually supplied with the SIM card. When PIN code is set On, your phone will request the PIN code every time it is switched on.

Messages [Menu 1] This menu includes functions related to SMS (Short Message Service), MMS (Multimedia Message Service),voice mail, as well as the network’s service messages. Write short message [Menu 1-1] You can write and edit text message, checking the number of message pages. 1. Enter the Messages menu by pressing < [Select]. 2. If you want to write a new message, select Write short message. 3. To make text input easier, use T9. For details, see How to use T9 (Page 34). 4.

• Delete slide You can delete current slides. • Set slide format - Set timer You can set timer for slide, text, picture and sound. - Swap text and picture You can switch the position of picture and text of the message. • Remove media You can remove pictures or sounds in the slide. This option can be shown only when any media exists. • Add T9 dictionary You can add your own word. This menu can be shown only when edit mode is Predictive (T9Abc/T9abc/T9ABC). • T9 langauges Select a T9 input mode.
Messages [Menu 1] How to Use T9 T9 allows you to input text quickly. In T9, you only need to press the key with the corresponding letter once. This is based on a built-in dictionary to which you can also add new words. • Writing words by using T9. 1. Start writing a word by using the keys 2 to 9. Press each key only once for one letter. To write for instance ‘Girl’. T9abc T9Abc T9abc Accessing the Menu 34 T9abc T9abc The word changes after each keystroke.
Alternatively : Press * key and select insert symbols. Select the desired character and press Select. 2. When you have finished wirting a word, check whether the word is correct. Call register [Menu 2] Missed calls [Menu 2-1] This menu shows recently missed numbers. You can call these numbers, save and view the date and the time. Received calls [Menu 2-2] This menu shows recently received numbers. You can call these numbers, save and view the date and the time. Dialled calls [Menu 2-3] This menu shows recently dialed numbers. You can call these numbers, save and view the date and the time. All calls [Menu 2-4] You can save the phone number and check the date, time for a call.
Call duration [Menu 2-6-1] This function allows you to view the duration of your Last Call, All Calls, Received calls and Dialled calls in hours, minutes and seconds. You can also reset the call timers. 1. Press < [Menu] in standby mode. 2. Press 2 for direct access or use L and R to enter Call register, then select Call charges. 3. Scroll to highlight Call duration and Press < [Select]. The following 5 submenus: Last call, All calls, Received calls, Dialled calls and Reset all.
Call register [Menu 2] Settings [Menu 2-6-3] [SIM Dependent] • Set tariff You can set the currency type and the unit price. Contact your service providers to obtain charging unit prices. To select the currency or unit in this menu, you need the PIN2 code. If you want to input @, £, $ symbol, clear all currency strings and then press * key. If you want to change symbol, press * key again. Note • When all units have been used, no calls can be made except emergency calls.
GPRS information [Menu 2-7] You can check the amount of data transferred over the network through GPRS. In addition, you can view how much time you are online. Call duration [Menu 2-7-1] You can check the duration of Last call and All calls. You can also reset the call timers. Data volumes [Menu 2-7-2] You can check the Sent, Received or All data volumes and Reset all.
Profiles [Menu 3] In this menu, you can adjust and customize the phone tones for different events and environments. 1. Press < [Menu] in standby mode. 2. Press 3 for direct access or use L and R. 3. You can also enter this menu directly by pressing L key in standby mode. Vibrate only [Menu 3-1] You can adjust the profile as Vibration if you need vibration mode. In the mode, all kinds of alert are Vibrate or Silent. Quiet [Menu 3-2] You can adjust the profile as Quiet if you are in quiet place.
Note • Headset and Car profiles can be activated only when Handsfree kit or Ear microphone put on the handset. However, their properties can be personalised. Activate [Menu 3-x-1] Activates the selected Profile. Personalise [Menu 3-x-2] Each has the submenus as shown below except for Vibrate only. Call alert type Allows to select alert type such as Ring, Vibrate, etc. for the incoming for adjusting environment. Ring tone Allows to set the ring tone for adjusting environment.
Profiles [Menu 3] Keypad tone Allows to select the keypad tone for adjusting environment. Select line [Menu 4-4-8] This function is only used if Two Line Service is supported by the Service Provider. If this function is supported by your service provider, the following menu will be displayed. • Line 1 • Line 2 Closed User Group [Menu 4-4-9] (network dependent) Restricts usage of the phone with numbers that belong to certain user groups. When this function is used, every outgoing call is associated with a group index. If a group index is specified, it is used for all outgoing calls.

Settings [Menu 4] Fixed Dial Number [Menu 4-5-4] (SIM dependent) You can restrict your outgoing calls to selected phone numbers. The numbers are protected by your PIN2 code. • Activate You can restrict your outgoing calls to selected phone numbers. • Cancel You can deactivate fixed dialling function. • Number list You can view the number list saved as Fixed dial number. Change codes [Menu 4-5-5] PIN is an abbreviation of Personal Identification Number used to prevent use by only unauthorized person.
Automatic [Menu 4-6-1] If you select Automatic mode, the phone will automatically search for and select a network for you. Once you have selected Automatic, the phone will be set to “Automatic” even though the power is off and on. Manual [Menu 4-6-2] The phone will find the list of available networks and show you them. Then you can select the network which you want to use if this network has a roaming agreement with your home network operator.
Organiser [Menu 5] Scheduler [Menu 5-1] When you enter this menu a Calendar will show up. On top of the screen there are sections for date. Also on bottom of the screen there are sections for icons (schedule, memo). Whenever you change the date, the calendar will be updated according to the date. And square cursor will be used to locate the certain day. If you see under bar on the calendar, it means that there is a schedule or memo that day. This function helps to remind you of your schedule and memo.
Add new [Menu 5-1-1] You can edit maximum 39 characters (21 characters in Chinese) and take up to 20 notes. • Schedule Input the subject, the schedule time, the repeat, the alarm by pressing allowed keys. • Memo 1. Organiser [Menu 5] Caller Groups [Menu 5-2-3] You can list up to 20 members per one group. There are 7 groups you can make lists to. 1. In standby mode, press > [Names]. 2. Scroll to Caller groups item then press <[Select], and every Group list will be displayed. 3. Select Group name you want by pressing <[Select]. • Member list Shows the group members you have selected. • Group ring tone Allows you to specify ring tone for the group members' call.
Speed dials [Menu 5-2-4] You can assign any of the keys, 2 to 9 with a Name list entry. You can call directly by pressing this key for 2-3 seconds. 1. Open the phonebook first by pressing > [Names] in standby mode. 2. Scroll to Speed dial, then press < [Select]. 3. If you want to add Speed dial, select . Then, you can search the name in phonebook. 4. Select allocated a name by speed dial, and choose Change or Delete to edit the name. • Change You can allocate a new phone number to the dial key.

Voice recorder [Menu 6-7] The voice memo feature you to record up to 10 voice messages and each memo is up to 20 Seconds. Record [Menu 6-7-1] 1. Internet [Menu 7] The phone supports services based on Wireless Application Protocol (WAP). You can access services supported by your network. The services menu allows you to get the information such as news, weather reports, and flight times. Home [Menu 7-1] Connect to a homepage. The homepage may be the site which is defined in the activated profile. It will be defined by Service Provider if you don’t make in activated profile.
Profiles [Menu 7-4] You can make up to 10 profiles and activate only one out of them. Scroll to the desired profile and press < to access available options. • Activate You can activate the profile you want. • Settings You can edit and change WAP settings of the selected profile. - Homepage This setting allows you to enter the address (URL) of a site you want to use as homepage. You do not need to type “http://” at the front of each URL as the WAP Browser will automatically add it.
Internet [Menu 7] Call speed : The speed of your data connection;9600 or 14400.
