Setup Checklist Installation Overview • Unpack the LCD TV/Monitor and all accessories. • Determine installation location for the LCD TV/Monitor, TV stand or mount. • Determine mounting and installation requirements. If used, AC Power source outlet, Antenna/Cable service connectors, any external equipment required for system or TV operation, all necessary cables, wires, connectors and any other additional required hardware, etc.
Installation/Connections Overview To hook up source equipment, see below and also refer to the Table of Contents on page 5; shows pages to go to for equipment hookup options. SPEAKER SWITCH Used to select the speaker output. UPDATE SWITCH *Note: If Pillow Speaker is selected, no Sound will be heard from TV speakers. Switch (NORMAL SPEAKER or PILLOW SPEAKER.) AUDIO / VIDEO 1, 3 IN Connect Audio / Video equipment to these jacks.
VESA Standard TV Mounts VESA Standard 100mm TV Mounts and Stands Following are shown some examples of VESA standard 100 mm mounts. Since there are numerous types of stands and mounts available, only a few are shown here. Refer to the instructions provided with the TV stand that will be used to mount the TV.
Antenna Hookup Connect an off-air antenna to the LCD TV/Monitor. 1 Locate the Antenna/Cable jack on the back of the LCD TV/Monitor. 2 Connect the antenna wire (Flat or Round) that runs from the wall to this jack, according to one of the diagrams shown to the right. 3 After all connections are complete, plug in the TV. The LCD TV/Monitor is designed to operate on AC power.
Cable Service Hookup Connect cable service to the LCD TV/Monitor. 1 Locate the Antenna/Cable jack on the back of the TV. 2 Connect the cable wire to the Antenna/Cable jack according to one of the diagrams to the right. 3 Cable TV Wall Jack RS-232C SELECT After all connections are complete, plug in the TV. The LCD TV/Monitor is designed to operate on AC power.
Antenna & VCR Hookup Connect antenna and a VCR to the LCD TV/Monitor. 1 Locate the Antenna/Cable jack on the back of the VCR. 2 Connect the antenna wire that runs from the wall jack to the VCR. Connect other wires according to the diagram to the right. 3 After all connections are complete, plug in the TV. The LCD TV/Monitor is designed to operate on AC power.
Cable Service with VCR Hookup Connect cable service and a VCR to the LCD TV/Monitor. 1 Locate the Antenna/Cable jack on the back of the VCR. 2 Connect the cable service wire to the VCR. Connect other wires according to the diagram to the right. After all connections are complete, plug in the TV. The LCD TV/Monitor is designed to operate on AC power. 3 For cable box operation, leave the VCR and the television tuned to channel three or four and use the cable box to change channels.
Pillow Speaker Hook Up Connect a pillow speaker to the LCD TV/Monitor. 1 Locate the Pillow Speaker output jack on the back of the LCD TV/Monitor. 2 Connect an accessory pillow speaker or wired remote control unit to this 6-pin jack. 3 Select PILLOW SPEAKER on the rear panel of the LCD TV/Monitor. SPEAKER SWITCH PILLOW SPEAKER NORMAL SPEAKER *Notes: If the pillow Speaker switch is set to Pillow Speaker, no sound will be heard from the TV speakers.
Power Cord Hookup Connect the AC power cord directly to the LCD TV/Monitor. AC Power Cord Hookup The LCD TV/Monitor is designed to operate on 120V AC power. 1 Locate the AC Power Cord input socket on the back of the LCD TV/Monitor. 2 Insert the AC power cord connector into the AC Socket on the TV as shown below.
Front Panel Controls Using the front control panel to operate the LCD TV/Monitor. Power / Standby Indicator Glows red in Standby mode. Glows green when the TV is turned on. Glows orange in Sleep Timer Remote Control Sensor and/or Alarm mode. On-Screen Menus Overview Descriptions of the menus and on-screen displays. Menu Name Page Description ON-SCREEN MENUS CHANNEL MENU Adjusts the basic operational features of the TV. Auto Program 21 Automatically finds and stores active channels to scroll through using Channel Up/Down. Channel List 22 Manually picks and chooses which active channels will appear when using Channel Up/Down Channel Label 23 Labels the channels with their network names (ABC, CBS, HBO, etc.).
Other Menus & On-Screen Displays Use the remote keys indicated below to access these menus and displays. In this manual, the OSD (On Screen Displays shown) may be different. The following are just generic examples to familiarize you with the TVs options. 12 19 Volume Display Press VOLUME. Shows currently selected sound setting. 3 9 6 Off TIMER English SAP Sleep Timer Menu Press TIMER. Sets a time to automatically turn the TV off and shows remaining time before TV shutoff.
User Remote Control Key Functions A brief list of the keys on the optional patient remote control and what they do. CC (Closed Captioning) Press to access closed captions. FLASHBK (Flashback) Returns to the previous channel viewed. POWER Turns TV On or Off. MUTE Turns sound Off and On, while the picture remains. TV/FM Down arrow for navigating menus. CHANNEL (-/+) Tunes to next available channel. VOLUME (-/+) Decreases/increases sound level.
Installer Remote Control Key Functions A brief list of the keys on the optional installer’s remote and what they do. MUTE Turns sound Off and On, while the picture remains. POWER Turns TV On or Off. GUIDE Use to view DTV program information. CC Press to activate English subtitles. BANK Press and repeat to select a Channel Memory Bank - - 1, 2, 3, or 4 (Standby). SAP Selects MTS sound: Mono, Stereo, and SAP in analog mode. Change the audio language in DTV mode.
Auto Program (Channel Search) Use Auto Program to automatically find and store all of the channels available in the selected Tuning Band. *Note: Tuning Band must be set before doing the channel search. See Installer menu item 003 Band/AFC. Default setting is 1, for CATV. When Auto Program is run, any assigned channel labels are automatically removed. 1 With the optional Installer remote control in hand, press the POWER key to turn the TV on.
Channel List After the channel search, remove unwanted channels. Removing unwanted channels Review the channels found, you may remove unwanted channels. Antenna Auto Program 1 Press the MENU button. Then use the ADJ D / E button to select the Channel menu, then press the OK (Enter) button. Channel Labels Setup *Note: If you add channel labels to existing channels, then re-run Auto Program, the labels will all be deleted. Antenna Channel Labels Setup Channel Labels help the user identify the channel or network being viewed. In the Setup menu with the Channel Labels option highlighted, use the ADJ Left/Right arrow to scroll through the available channel labels, such as, A&E, AMC, ESPN, HBO, etc. These are a series of preset labels from which you can choose the more common networks.
Clock Setup Manual Time Settings - Use the D / E / F / G ADJ buttons to set the year, month, day, hours and minutes. Managing the Channel Banks The TV has four channel banks, where the administrator or installer can store groups of TV channels. PLANNING THE CHANNEL BANKS Generally, TV channels are grouped into “program packages” with terms that are proposed to the end user. The user then chooses a package. Below is an example of how TV channels may be grouped. You may plan your packages by using a chart like the one after the following page.

Accessing the Installer’s Menu Make sure TV is on. Installer’s menu items can be accessed by using an installer’s remote control. Just press MENU repeatedly (at least 10 times) until the TV seems to stop responding, then press 9, 8, 7, 6, then ENTER to access the Installer’s menu. To remove the Installer’s menu, press ENTER again.

Installer Menu Detailed Descriptions of Installer Menu Items 000 - INSTALLER SEQUENCE Specifies entry sequence to the Installer Menu. 0 = 9876 1 = 4321 2 = 1478 3 = 3698 001 - POWER MANAGE (Power Management) Determines hours of no activity before automatic shutoff. The POWER MANAGE function is for saving energy. If set to 0, Power Manage is Off.

Reference: Cloning Procedure Troubleshooting Warning: Do not use LT2002 while a LodgeNet PPV card is installed in TV or clone programmer will be damaged. Reset Clone After Static Shock After replacing exhausted batteries, or if the programmer behaves strangely after a static shock, activate the internal reset switch and restore normal operation. After a reset, check the real-time clock setting. It may be necessary to reset the Clone Programmer clock from a TV containing the correct time.
