If you are a new Pay As You Go customer, see the Quick Start Guide for quick and easy activation instructions. If you are transferring service from another wireless carrier, you may be able to keep your current phone number. See Q&A on page 16 for details. Attention: If you are using this handset with existing AT&T wireless service, you do not need to activate a new account. Simply charge the battery and move your existing SIM to this handset. 1. Welcome to GoPhone® Pay As You Go Congratulations on your purchase of GoPhone Pay As You Go from AT&T. This User Guide contains information on GoPhone Pay As You Go and using the features of this service. Please consult the GoPhone Pay As You Go brochure or call Automated Customer Service for detailed information regarding the charges and fees associated with your service.
Account Passcode Your initial account passcode is the last four digits of your wireless phone number. You will be required to change this password to access online customer service. For your security, we recommend you change your passcode to a secure code other than the last four digits of your wireless phone number. You can change your passcode at any time through online customer service (att.com/mygophone) or by speaking with a customer service representative.
Refilling Your Account • Pay by credit card, debit card or checking account: – Go to att.com/mygophone – Dial 611 from your wireless phone. A fee may be charged for calls to add funds using a live representative. • Pay by cash by visiting an AT&T store or one of more than 200,000 authorized retail locations in the U.S. and purchase a refill card or PIN Refilling Your Account Refill before your current balance expires, and the balance carries over to the new expiration date.

Tracking Your Balance & Expiration Date * With these notifications, you will receive refill options. You can bypass these options, if funds are available, by pressing “#” to continue the call. Although AT&T will send you timely refill messages, delivery cannot be guaranteed.
Start Talking Coverage area Please review the coverage map in the sales brochure or go to att.com/gophone and select “Learn about Pay As You Go,” which shows the scope of your calling plan area as well as information on coverage when roaming in Mexico. The map depicts an approximation of outdoor coverage. The map may include areas covered by unaffiliated carriers and may depict their licensed area rather than an approximation of the coverage.

Enhanced Features INTERNATIONAL ROAMING IN MEXICO: You can now use your Pay As You Go service when you travel to Mexico. No additional feature is required to roam in Mexico – all Pay As You Go customers are automatically eligible. Roaming charges apply. See sales brochure for rates. TEXT MESSAGING1: With Text Messaging, you can send and receive short messages directly from your wireless phone to any other wireless phone, regardless of the service provider. Controlling Content: Set Content Filters to “On” or “Off.” “On” restricts access to sites with mature content on MEdia™ Net (Mobile Web) and shuts off access to the broader Mobile Web via the search function. “Off” has no restrictions, and all content is visible and accessible. The default is set to “Off.” Controlling MEdia Net (Mobile Web) Purchases: Set Purchase Blocker to “On” or “Off.” “On” prevents your children from purchasing premium content, including ringtones, downloads, games and graphics.
INSTANT MESSAGING1,2: With GoPhone Pay As You Go, you can receive and reply to AOL® instant messages or Yahoo!® instant messages. With Mobile Instant Messaging, available on select phones, you can chat with anyone from the Buddy List® on your wireless phone. It keeps you connected, even when you’re on the go. For your convenience, you can set up your feature packages on auto-renewal and have the packages you select automatically added to your account every 30 days. Frequently Asked Questions Q: I’m transferring service from another wireless carrier. How can I keep my current phone number? A: Do not terminate your service with your existing company before initiating service with AT&T. Complete activation of new service, then dial 611 and press “4” for “More Options,” then “0” to talk to a Customer Care Representative who can assist you with porting your current wireless phone number. (Port-in rules apply).
Q: How do I make a call? A: To make a domestic call on your wireless phone: • Press the POWER key to turn on your phone • Dial the phone number by entering the area code first and then the 7-digit number • Press the SEND key. This button may contain a green icon. • To end the call, press the END button. This button may contain a red icon. Q: Can I download all of the content that is available on the AT&T website? A: No. Content availability varies with each handset. Q: Is there a cost to use Data Services? A: Yes. Cómo recargar tu cuenta código personal de la cuenta El servicio GoPhone Pay As You Go te permite pagar tu tiempo de uso por adelantado. El descuento podrá retrasarse si se producen interrupciones en el sistema u otro tipo de interrupción en AT&T. Código personal de la cuenta El código personal inicial de la cuenta son los últimos cuatro dígitos de tu número de teléfono móvil. Se te pedirá que lo cambies para ingresar al servicio al cliente por Internet.
