The Basics
Tap to create a new line in the message field.
Tap to delete the previous character.
Additional alternative input keys
Touch and hold any key that has another symbol (at the top right corner of
the key) to access its alternative input.
Enter suggested word using gesture control
As you enter text on the keyboard, related word suggestions appear (at the
top right and left of the on-screen keyboard). Tap (or flick) the left-side or
right-side suggestion to insert it in the field.
Modifying the Keyboard
You can modify the keyboard to enhance how you type.
To split the keyboard
You can split the keyboard so that you can hold the tablet and use just your
thumbs to type. Each half of the keyboard withdraws to the left and right of
the screen. To activate the split keyboard, place both thumbs on the
keyboard and slide them apart.
NOTE To enable this feature, checkmark the Split keyboard setting.
To change the keyboard height
While you’re typing, you can adjust the height of the keyboard to show
more of the screen (making the keyboard smaller and easier to control).

Touch and hold the Voice input key
> the Settings key >
Keyboard height and layout > Keyboard height. Drag the icon
to
adjust the keyboard height.
To change the bottom row keys

Touch and hold the Voice input key
> the Settings icon >
Keyboard height and layout > Bottom row keys. Tap a key to change it.
Drag a key to move or delete it.
NOTE Only QWERTY, QWERTZ, and AZERTY keyboards can be customized. This function does
not support some languages.
