Removing/Assembling the
Refrigerator Doors
Removing the right (refrigerator)
door
Removing the Left (Freezer) Door
with Water Line Connection
1. Disconnect the 2 water line connections,
located on the back of the refrigerator. Hold
the water supply connection and gently
push the collet to detach the water supply
line as shown.
2. Open the door. Remove the top hinge cover
screw.
3. Use a at-blade screwdriver to pry back the
hooks (not shown) of the hinge cover from the
top of the refrigerator cabinet. Lift up the cover.
4. Disconnect all the wire harnesses and remove
the hinge cover.
5. Pull out the water supply lines.
6. Unscrew the ground wire.
7. Rotate the hinge lever counterclockwise. Lift
the upper hinge free of the hinge lever latch.
8. Lift the door from the lower hinge pin and
place it, inside facing up, on a non-scratching
surface.
1. Open the door. Remove the screw from the
top hinge cover (1). Lift the cover (2).
2. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to pry back the
hooks (not shown) of the hinge cover from
the top of therefrigerator cabinet. Remove
the hinge cover.
3. Rotate the hinge lever (3) clockwise. Lift the
upper hinge (4) free of the hinge lever
latch (5).
4. Lift the door from the lower hinge pin.
5. Place the door, inside facing up, on a
non-scratching surface.
WARNING
Excessive Weight Hazard:
Use two or more people to remove and install
the refrigerator doors. Failure to do so can
result in back or other injury.
Electrical Shock Hazard
• Disconnect the electrical supply to the
refrigerator before installing. Failure to do so
could result in serious injury or death.
• Do not put hands, feet or other objects into
the air vents or bottom of the refrigerator. You
may be injured or receive an electrical shock.
CAUTION
Before you start, take out the food and
remove the door trays.
CAUTION
When lifting the hinge free of the latch,
be careful that the door does not fall
forward.
