Once your phone is on, it may display “Searching for Service,” which indicates that your phone is searching for a signal. When your phone finds a signal, it automatically enters standby mode – the phone’s idle state. At this point, you are ready to begin making and receiving calls.

When there are approximately two minutes of talk time left, the phone sounds an audible alert and then powers down. Note: Long backlight settings, searching for service, vibrate mode, and browser use affect the battery’s talk and standby times.

(The metal contacts must be aligned with and touching the metal prongs.) 2. Press down on the battery until it snaps into place. Removing the Battery To remove your battery: 1. Note: Phone Basics You can dial or save phone numbers with pauses for use with automated systems, such as voicemail or credit card billing numbers.

To change the character input mode: 1. When you display a screen where you can enter text, select Mode (right softkey). 2.

(To select the T9 Word mode when entering text, see “Selecting a Character Input Mode” on page 30.) 1.

(See “Entering Characters by Tapping the Keypad”on page 33.

Airplane Mode Airplane Mode allows you to use many of your phone’s features, such as Games, Notepad, Voice Memos, etc., when you are in an airplane or in any other area where making or receiving calls or data is prohibited.

Your Phone’s Settings Your phone is compatible with select TTY devices. Please check with the manufacturer of your TTY device to ensure that it supports digital wireless transmission.

If TTY mode is enabled, the audio quality of non-TTY devices connected to the headset jack may be impaired.
