Moving and Lifting the Monitor It is advisable to place the monitor in the yy original box or packing material before attempting to move it. Before moving or lifting the monitor, disconyy nect the power cord and all cables. Hold the top and bottom of the monitor frame yy firmly. Do not hold the panel itself. When holding the monitor, the screen should yy face away from you to prevent it being scratched. When moving the monitor, avoid any strong yy shock or vibrations to the product.
Setting up the Monitor set ENGLISH ENG Attaching the Stand Base 1 3 CAUTION To protect the screen from scratches, cover yy the surface with a soft cloth. 2 WARNING To avoid injury to the fingers and foot when yy Assembly Stand Body and Base, should hold Base when assembly stand body and base. NOTE Press the stand until the button reaches the top.
CAUTION NOTE You can disassemble the stand in the reverse yy order of the assembly. 1 Lift and tilt the Monitor set into its upright position on a table. Pivot Feature ENGLISH ENG The pivot feature allows the monitor to rotate 90° clockwise and -90° counter clockwise. 1 Raise the monitor to the maximum height. NOTE 2 Adjust the angle of the monitor in the direction of the arrow as shown in the figure. 3 Rotate the monitor 90° clockwise and -90° counter clockwise as shown in the figure. yy Auto Pivot feature of the display is not supported.
Swivel stand WARNING ENG ENGLISH yy Take care when rotating the monitor if the cable is connected. yy To avoid injury when rotating the display, do not place your fingers between the display and the stand base. NOTE Swivel (clockwise 45°) yy The left or right side of the monitor head can be slightly rotated up or down (up to 3°). Adjust the horizontal level of the monitor head.
Using the Kensington security system ENGLISH ENG The Kensington security system connector is located at the back of the Monitor set. For more information of installation and using, refer to the manual supplied with the Kensington security system or visit http://www.kensington.com . Connect the Kensington security system cable between the Monitor set and a table. Detaching the Stand Body 1 Place the monitor’s screen face down. To protect the screen from scratches, cover the surface with a soft cloth.
Wall Mount (A x B) yy Installing to a wall B 100 mm (3.94 inches) 100 mm (3.94 inches) 100 mm (3.94 inches) 100 mm (3.94 inches) To install the monitor to a wall, attach a wall mounting bracket (optional) to the back of the monitor. Make sure that the wall mounting bracket is securely fixed to the monitor and to the wall. 1 If you use screw longer than standard, the monitor might be damaged internally. 2 If you use improper screw, the product might be damaged and drop from mounted position.
USING THE MONITOR SET ENGLISH Connecting to a PC Your Monitor set supports Plug & Play*. yy *Plug & Play: A PC recognizes a connected device that users connect to a PC and turn on, without device configuration or user intervention. HDMI connection Transmits the digital video and audio signals from your PC to the Monitor set. Connect the PC and the Monitor set with the HDMI cable as shown in the following illustrations. DVI-D connection Transmits a digital video signal from your PC to the Monitor set.
DisplayPort connection NOTE For supporting DP MST feature, your PC yy graphics card must be certified to DP1.2 and MST Option. To enable MST connection, use DP yy cable as provided in box (or other DP1.2 certified cable) and change the DP setting to enable the DisplayPort 1.2 in Monitor Menu. The default out of factory setting is yy DP1.1a (Disable the DisplayPort 1.2) When using MST, many monitor cannot be yy adjusted for OSD at the same time. Please change the monitor settings.
ENGLISH Connecting to AV Devices Connecting Peripherals HDMI connection USB Type A port connection – mobile phone Transmits the digital video and audio signals from your AV devices to the monitor. Connect your AV device to the monitor with the HDMI cable as illustrated below. NOTE Make sure to install the most recent Windows yy OS service pack before using the product. Peripheral devices are sold separately. yy A keyboard, mouse, or USB device can be yy connected to the USB port.
Connecting Headphones For using the USB downstream port, connect the USB A/B type cable as picture Connect peripherals to the monitor via the headphones port. Connect as illustrated. (sold separately) (sold separately) NOTE Peripheral devices are sold separately. yy If you use angled headphones, it may yy cause a problem with connecting another external device to the monitor. Therefore, it is recommended to use straight headphones.
CUSTOMIZING SETTINGS ENGLISH ENG Activating the Main Menu 1 Press the Menu ( ) button. 2 Use the , , , buttons to adjust the options. 3 Press the Menu ( ) button to exit the OSD menu. Monitor buttons Button Menu ( ) INPUT Description If the menu is inactive Activates the main menu. If the menu is active Exits the OSD menu when the button is pressed. If the menu is inactive Adjusts the volume level of the monitor. If the menu is active Left directional key.
Customizing settings Picture Mode Description Custom Allows the user to adjust each element. The color mode of the main menu can be adjusted. Reader 1 It is a mode that the screen is adjusted to the best for the newspaper. If you want screen more bright, you can control brightness in Menu OSD. Reader 2 It is a mode that the screen is adjusted to the best for the cartoon. If you want screen more bright, you can control brightness in Menu OSD. Photo Optimizes the screen to view photos.
Color Adjust ENGLISH ENG Gamma The higher the gamma value, the darker the image becomes. Likewise, the lower the gamma value, the lighter the image becomes. If you do not need to adjust the gamma settings, select Off. Color Temp Selects the factory default picture color. Warm: Sets the screen color to a reddish tone. Medium: Sets the screen color between a red and blue tone. Cool: Sets the screen color to a bluish tone. Custom: The user can adjust it to red, green, or blue by customization.
Customizing settings Description Volume To adjust the Volume of headphone or speaker. Main Audio To choose the audio source input. Menu > General Description Language To choose the language in which the control names are displayed. Power LED Turns the power indicator on the front side of the monitor on/off. On The power indicator is automatically turned on. Off The power indicator is turned off.
ENGLISH ENG TROUBLESHOOTING Check the following before calling for service. No image appears Is the power cord of the display connected? yy Check and see if the power cord is connected properly to the power outlet. Is the power indicator light on? yy Press the Power button. Do you see an "Out of Range" message on the screen? yy This message appears when the signal from the PC (video card) is out of horizontal or vertical frequency range of the display.
