Turning on the TV ➊ Firstly, connect the power cord correctly. Displaying Channel List Digital Channel List (In Digital Mode Only) Three types of channel lists are provided for easy and quick channel browsing. TV The list of all Digital TV channels Radio The list of all Digital radio channels FAV-T or FAV-C The list of Digital favourite channels (Terrestrial or Cable) You can display channel list using the LIST button and switch to another channel on the channel list.
I/II Stereo/Dual Reception (In Analog Mode Only) Whenever you switch channels or press the INFO or OK button in analog TV mode, you can see the sound information of the current channel. Mono sound selection If the stereo signal is weak in stereo reception, you can switch to mono by pressing the I/II button twice. In mono reception, the clarity of sound is improved. To switch back to stereo, press the I/II button twice.
Setting the Subtitle (In Digital Mode Only) If the programme provides subtitle information you can select the language for the subtitle. ➊ Press the SUBTITLE button. ➋ Select a subtitle language using the ∧/∨ button and press the OK button. Then the subtitle will be displayed in the selected language at the bottom of the screen. ➌ Select Off from the subtitle language list to hide subtitle from the screen.
Selecting the Menu Language You can select the language for displaying menus and indications. ➊ Press the MENU button. ➋ Select Feature using the ∧/∨ button and press the OK or > button. ➌ Select the language of your choice using the button. The On Screen Display (OSD) menu will be shown in the selected language.

Setting the Aspect Ratio You can select the modes by simply pressing the RATIO button on the remote control. Original > 4:3 > 14:9 > 16:9 > Zoom1 > Zoom2 > Just Scan 4:3 When your TV receives a wide screen signal it will automatically change to the picture format broadcast. The following selection will allow you to view a picture with an original 4:3 aspect ratio, black bars will appear on both the left and right of the screen.
Displaying Teletext Information You can display teletext information at any time on your TV. Most TV broadcasting stations provide text information services via teletext. The index page of the teletext service gives you information on how to use the service. You can also select various options to fit your needs using the remote control buttons. NOTE ► To properly display teletext information, channel reception must be stable. Otherwise, information may be missing or some pages may not be displayed.
EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) (In Digital Mode Only) The EPG displays the programme information about each digital channel, based on the date and time. You can also schedule your watching using the information given. Press the GUIDE button to display the EPG. NOTE ► Press the EXIT or GUIDE button to exit the guide screen. Viewing the Electronic Programme Guide You can view programme information for all digital channels. Move to previous or next programme within the same channel using the button.
Viewing Using Time Bar You can quickly search the time zone using the time bar. ➊ Press the GREEN button to display time bar. ➋ Select the each button using the button and press the OK button to move the time bar. If you press the button repeatedly, the same operation is repeated. ➌ Each button functions as follows. EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) Now ◄ ► ◄◄ ►► ◄Day Day► Select ➍ Moves to the current programme where the cursor is located.
Finding a Programme You can sufficiently find the programme you want by programme name or genre. ➊ Press the BLUE button. ➋ Enter the programme name directly using the keyboard displayed on the screen. ➌ When entering programme name is complete, select Find and press the OK button. Find Programme by Name NOTE Keyword ➍ Select By Genre and press the OK button to search programme by genre. ➎ Select the genre using the ∧/∨/ button and press the OK button.
Viewing the Reserved Programme You can add or edit the reservation using the Schedule screen. Press the YELLOW button to display the schedule list. Adding a Reservation EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) ➊ Select a blank space and press the OK button to add a new reservation schedule. ➋ Change Channel No. and Time using the NUMBER buttons. ➌ Change Repeat mode using the button. Setting Analog Channels (In Analog Mode Only) Analog channels can be searched and edited only in Analog TV input mode. Automatic Search You can automatically search channels for the frequency ranges available (availability depends on your region). Search is highlighted. ➍ Press the OK button to start to search channels.
Manual Search You can save each channel as you identify. ➊ Press the MENU button. ➋ Select Installation using the ∧/∨ button and press the OK or > button. ➌ Select Manual Search using the ∧/∨ button and press the OK or > button. Colour System is highlighted. ➍ Select the required broadcasting standard (Auto, PAL, or SECAM) using the button. Select Audio System using the ∧/∨ button. Edit Channels After channel searching completes, you can delete, skip, move or add into favorite channel group the saved analog channels. ➊ Press the MENU button. ➋ Select Installation using the ∧/∨ button and press the OK or > button. ➌ Select Edit Channels using the ∧/∨ button and press the OK or > button. The Edit Channels menu will appear. Skipping Channels Once channels are selected to skip, you can select the skipped channels using number buttons only.
PICTURE SETTINGS Selecting a Picture Mode You can select the picture mode which best fits your viewing requirements. ➊ Press the MENU button. ➋ Select Picture using the ∧/∨ button and press the OK or > button. ➌ Select the required picture mode using the button. The following options are available: Standard > Cinema > Sport > Game > User > Vivid ■ When the Intelligent sensor function is on, the most suitable picture is automatically adjusted according to the surrounding conditions.
Noise Reduction You can reduce noise and reproduce images true to the original picture in a picture with noise. ➊ Press the MENU button. ➋ Select Picture using the ∧/∨ button and press the OK or > button. ➌ Select NR using the ∧/∨ button. ➍ Select the required option by pressing the button. SOUND SETTINGS Setting the Sound Effect You can select the type of special sound effect when watching a broadcast. Sound Effect lets you enjoy the best sound without any special adjustment because the TV sets the appropriate sound options based on the programme content. ➊ Press the MENU button. ➋ Select Sound using the ∧/∨ button and press the OK or > button. ➌ Select Effect using the ∧/∨ button and press the OK button.
Adjusting the Volume Automatically Each broadcasting station has its own signal conditions, volume may not be adjusted each time you switch channels. This feature lets you automatically adjust the volume of the selected channel by adjusting the sound output depending on the signal modulation. ➊ Press the MENU button. ➋ Select Sound using the ∧/∨ button and press the OK or > button. ➌ Select AVL(Auto Volume Level) using the ∧/∨ button. ➍ Select On/Off using the button.
FEATURE SETTINGS Setting the Time Information You can set the current time. If you want to set time for automatically turning on/off the power, you must set the local time first. NOTE ► Your TV automatically sets and updates the date and time over the air when you successfully search digital channels.
Image Sticking Minimization (ISM) Method A frozen or still picture from a PC/Video game displayed on the screen for prolonged periods will result in a ghost image remaining even when you change the image. Use this function to minimize any fixed image on the screen. This function allows you to reduce phosphor burn and prolong the life of the plasma. ➊ Press the MENU button. ➋ Select Feature using the ∧/∨ button and press the OK or > button. ➌ Select ISM Method using the ∧/∨ button.
Setting the PC (In PC Mode Only) The PC menu is available only when there is a PC input signal. Press the INPUT button to switch to PC mode. Select PC using the ∧/∨ button and press the OK button. DTV SETUP (In Digital Mode Only) This chapter describes how to set up the DTV Setup menu for digital channels. You can set the options such as the parental control, channel editing, installation setting and software upgrade. > DT V Setup DT V Setup NOTE ► The DTV Setup menu is available in the Digital TV or Digital TV-C input mode only. To access the DTV Setup menu, select DTV Setup on TV menu and press the OK button while in the Digital mode.
Censorship Classification Censorship Classification allows you to block programmes according to the age level you have set. ➊ ➋ Select Censorship Classification using the ∧/∨ button and press the OK or > button. Software Update In order to maintain proper performance of the TV, it is essential to have the most up-to-date software. OTA (Over the Air) OTA, an abbreviation of Over–the-Air, means that the software can be downloaded through your aerial. The manufacturer reserves the right to decide when and where to release software by this process. The software update via your aerial will only occur under the following circumstances. ➊ The equipment should have appropriate loader software.
Automatic Update You can set the TV to find software update site and update software automatically. ➊ Press the DTV SETUP button. ➋ Select Installation using the ∧/∨ button and press the OK or > button. ➌ Select Installation (DTV-C) or Installation (DTV-T) using the ∧/∨ button and press the OK or > button. Troubleshooting The TV does not operate properly. The remote control does not work - Check to see if there is any object between the TV and the remote control causing an obstruction.
