ENGLISH Precautions for the AC Adapter and Power WARNING •• Use only the power cord or AC adapter provided or approved by LG Electronics, Inc. If you use another power cord, make sure that it is certified by the national standards. If the power cable is faulty in any way, please contact the manufacturer or the nearest authorized service center for a replacement. •• Operate the display only from a power source(i.e. voltage) indicated in the product specification.
CAUTION •• If the outlet pins of the power plug or AC adapter is covered with dust, be sure to wipe them and keep them clean. -- Overheating due to layers of dust may cause a fire or electric shock. •• If the outlet pins of the power plug or AC adapter is covered with water be sure to wipe them and keep them clean. Additionally, Do not touch the power plug or AC adapter with wet hands. -- This may cause an electric shock.
ENGLISH Precautions for Moving the Product WARNING •• Contact the service center before moving the product. -- It may cause electric shock and damage the product. •• Make sure the product is turned off, unplugged, and all cables have been removed before the product is moved. -- You may be electrocuted or the product can be damaged. •• When moving the product, do not shock or cause an impact on the front panel. -- You may be electrocuted or the product can be damaged.
WARNING •• Contact the service center before installing the product. -- It can cause electric shock and damage the product. •• Do not drop an object on or impact on the product. Keep out of reach of children and do not place toys or objects near the product to prevent throwing things on the product screen. -- It can cause injury to human, problem to product and damage the display. •• Do not put heavy objects on, or hang from, the product. -- If the product collapses or is dropped, you may be injured.
ENGLISH CAUTION •• Install the product where no Electromagnetic Interference occurs. •• If you install the product in a place that does not meet the recommended conditions, this may cause serious damage to the product’s picture quality, life cycle, and appearance. Please check with service engineer before installing.
WARNING •• Keep the product clean at all times. -- If you don’t clean the unit for a long time and it becomes covered in dust, it can cause fire or product damage. •• When you need to clean the inside of the product, you must contact the service center. -- Otherwise, cleaning without support may cause a fire, electric shock, or damage to the product. •• When cleaning the product, unplug the power cord and wipe gently with a soft cloth to prevent scratching.

CAUTION •• This panel is an advanced product that contains millions of pixels. You may occasionally see pixel spots when viewing the screen. Since these deactivated pixels are not a defect, the performance and reliability of the product is not affected. •• Do not put or store inflammable substances near the product. -- There is a danger of explosion or fire. •• Keep the proper distance from the product. -- It can cause damage to your vision if you look at the product too closely.
ENGLISH Precautions for Using the Remote control WARNING •• Avoid places with high humidity. -- It may cause electrical shock or damage the product. •• Do not expose batteries to excessive heat, such as direct sunlight, open fireplace, and electric heaters. -- It may cause fire and you may be injured. •• Make sure that children do not swallow the remote control batteries when you replace them. Keep batteries out of reach of children. -- If a child swallows a battery, consult a doctor immediately.
•• Displaying a still image for a prolonged period of time may cause damage to the screen, resulting in image retention. Most third-party products have the same issue. The resulting damage is not covered by the product warranty. -- Use a screen saver when using the monitor for a prolonged period of time. Product Disposal •• Do not dispose of this product with general household waste. •• Disposal of this product must be carried out in accordance to the regulations of your local authority.

ENGLISH Parts and Buttons The image may be different according to the model. Buttons •• : Adjusts up and down. •• : Moves left and right. •• : Displays the current signal and mode. •• : Accesses the main menus, or saves your input and exits the menus. •• : Change the input signal. •• : Turns the power on or off.
ENGLISH Connecting the Speakers -- For certain models only. -- The image may be different according to the model. 1 Connect an input signal cable before installing the speakers. 2 Mount the speakers by using screws as shown below. Make sure the power cable is disconnected before making a connection.
3 Then connect the speaker cable. After installing your speakers, organize the speaker cables. ENGLISH Landscape Portrait NOTE •• Please turn off the power before removing the cable. Connecting or removing the speaker cable while turned on may result in no sound.
This allows a remote control sensor to be placed in a custom location. The IR receiver is made with a magnet. Attach the magnetic sheet to the desired position on the product. It is recommended to attach it to the location illustrated in the figure below. Basic installation Portrait Layout When installing in a portrait layout, rotate the monitor counterclockwise 90 degrees (when facing the screen).
Using Kensington Lock ENGLISH (This is not available for all models.) The Kensington security system connector is located at the back of the monitor. For more information on installation and use of this system, refer to the manual provided with the Kensington security system or visit http://www. kensington.com. Connect the Kensington security system cable between the monitor and a table. NOTE •• The Kensington security system is optional.
For proper ventilation, allow a clearance of 100 mm (3.9 inches) on each side and from the wall. Detailed installation instructions are available from your dealer, see the optional Tilt Wall Mounting Bracket Installation and Setup Guide. 100 mm (3.9 inches) 100 mm 100 mm 100 mm 100 mm To install your monitor on a wall, attach a wall mounting bracket (optional part) to the back of the monitor. Make sure that the wall mounting bracket is securely fixed to the monitor and to the wall.
ENGLISH CAUTION •• Disconnect the power cord before moving or installing the monitor to avoid risk of electric shock. •• If you install the monitor on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in injury. Use an authorized LG wall mount and contact your local dealer or qualified personnel to assist with the installation. •• Do not over tighten the screws as this may damage the monitor and void your warranty. •• Use only screws and wall mounting brackets that meet the VESA standard.
The descriptions in this manual are based on the buttons on the remote control. Please read this manual carefully to use the monitor correctly. To install batteries, open the battery cover, place batteries (1.5 V AAA) matching and terminals to the labels inside the compartment, and close the battery cover. To remove the batteries, perform the installation actions in reverse. The illustrations may differ from the actual accessories.
ENGLISH Selects the Picture Mode. (HOME) Activates the Launcher. Enters the White Balance menu. (SETTING) Accesses the main menus or saves your input and exit menus. SuperSign menu key. (Navigation Buttons) Scrolls through menus or options. Selects menus or options and confirms your input. (BACK) Allows you to move back one step in the user interaction function. Quit all OSD tasks and applications.
You can connect various external devices to your monitor. Change the input mode and select the external device you want to connect. For more information about external device connections, see the user manual provided with each device. Connecting to a PC Some of the cables are not provided. This monitor supports the * feature. : a feature that enables a PC to recognize devices attached by the user without device configuration or user intervention when powering up.
ENGLISH NOTE •• For the best image quality, using the monitor with HDMI connection is recommended. •• To comply with the specifications of the product, use a shielded interface cable with ferrite core, such as DVI-D/HDMI cable. •• If you turn the monitor on when the set is cold, the screen may flicker. This is normal. •• Sometimes red, green, or blue spots may appear on the screen. This is normal. •• Use a High Speed HDMI®/™ cable. •• Use a certified cable with the HDMI logo attached.
To use multiple monitors connected to each other, connect the end of the signal input cable (DP cable) to the DP OUT connection in one monitor and connect the other end to the DP IN connection of the other monitor. * DP Cable: Use a DP cable that is certified to a DP 1.1a (SST) standard or higher.
ENGLISH TROUBLESHOOTING »» Each model may have different points to check. »» For information on your PC settings, refer to the Windows Help. Issues Related to Use •• The power won’t turn on. -- Check if the power cord is correctly plugged into the power outlet. -- Try turning the power on after disconnecting the AC adapter and cleaning the contacting port. •• The ‘Unknown Product’ message appears when the product is connected. -- Check if the driver of PC(graphics card) has been installed.
Issues Related to Screen (Color) •• Screen has poor color resolution (16 colors). -- Use PC settings to set the color to 24 bits (True Color) or above. •• Screen color is unstable or mono-colored. -- Check the connection status of the signal cable. Or, re-insert the PC graphics card. •• Black spots or bright spots appear on the screen. -- Some pixels (red, green, blue, black) are visible on the screen due to the unique characteristics of the display panel. This is not a malfunction of the product.
Issues Related to Sound ENGLISH •• There is no sound output. -- See if the audio cable is connected properly. -- Adjust the volume of the product or external device. -- See if the sound is set properly. •• Sound is too dull. -- Select the appropriate equalizer sound. •• Sound is too low. -- Adjust the volume of the product or external device. •• For some models, you will need to purchase external speakers separately since they do not have speakers built-in.
Issues Related to Touch ENGLISH •• Touch does not respond. -- This may occur when the USB cable between PC and product is not connected. Remove the USB cable and connect it again in 10 seconds. -- Make sure that your PC’s power cord is firmly plugged into a power outlet and restart your PC. -- Touch may not respond when the system is down due to the unstable network. Reconnect the LAN cable or restart your PC. -- If your PC and product are not connected using a signal cable, touch does not respond.
Image sticking ENGLISH •• After-image appears when the product is turned off. -- If you use a fixed image for a long time, the pixels may be damaged. Use the screen-saver function. -- When a dark image is displayed on the screen after an image with high contrast (black and white or gray), this may cause image sticking. This is normal for display products.

Sensor Validation: An email is sent if there is no temperature sensor connected, if the communication status of the temperature sensor is unknown, or if the information provided by the chip provider is abnormal. -- 3.
8 [Play via URL] ENGLISH [Ez Setting] [Play via URL] Play content you want to play automatically through the built-in web browser. •• [URL Loader]: Turns [Play via URL] on or off. •• [Set URL]: Enter the URL address to display automatically. •• [Preview]: Preview your desired website by accessing the specified URL. •• [Save]: Save the specified URL. •• [Reboot to Apply]: Restarts the monitor set after saving the specified URL. •• [Reset]: Reset to initial settings.
9 [Signage 365 Care] •• [Install]: Installs the Signage 365 Care solution. 1) [ENTER ACCOUNT NUMBER]: Enters the 6-digit account number to install the Signage 365 Care solution. -- Account Number: The number assigned when the Signage 365 Care solution is registered. When the account number is entered, the account name corresponding to the number is obtained. 2) [CONFIRM ACCOUNT NUMBER]: Displays the account number and the account name corresponding to the account number and validates the account number.
10 [Multi Screen] ENGLISH [Ez Setting] [Multi Screen] This feature allows you to view multiple external inputs and videos on a single screen. Selecting Screen Layout When you enter multi-screen mode without having set any screen layout, the screen layout selection menu appears.
11 Changing Screen Input button on the top right of each split screen to select the desired input. NOTE •• Inputs which have already been selected for other split screens cannot be selected again. To select them, press the RESET button to reset the inputs for all screens first. •• The PIP mode works only when External Input Rotation is set to Off and Screen Rotation is set to Off or 180. •• In the PIP mode, supported resolutions for subscreen are as follows: Other resolutions are not supported.
12 [Leveler Tool] ENGLISH [Ez Setting] [Leveler Tool] You can check the horizontal and vertical level status when installing the product. Check the tilt of the product •• The bubble and angle indicator in the leveler show the degree of tilt of the product. •• The leveler and angle indicator on the left side of the screen show the degree of left or right tilt. •• The leveler and angle indicator on the right side of the screen show the degree of front or back tilt.
13 ENGLISH General [Language] [General] [Language] You can select the menu language to be displayed on the screen. •• [Menu Language]: Sets the language of your Signage monitor. •• [Keyboard Language]: Sets the language of the keyboard displayed on the screen. [System Information] [General] [System Information] This feature displays information such as the device name, software version, and storage space.
14 [Power] ENGLISH [General] Power-related feature settings [Power] [No Signal Power Off (15 Min)] Set whether to use the 15 Min Auto Off feature. •• You can set this option to [On] or [Off]. •• If you set this feature to [On], the product turns off after it’s remained in No Signal status for 15 minutes. •• If you set this feature to [Off], the 15 Min Force Off feature is disabled.
15 [PM Mode] NOTE •• In order for the screen to switch from [Screen Off] to On status, there must be input from the remote control's Power or Input button, or the monitor's On button. [Power On Delay](0-250) •• This feature prevents overload by implementing a power-on delay when multiple monitor sets turn on. •• You can set the delay interval in the range of 0 to 250 seconds. [Power On Status] •• Select the operating status of the monitor when the main power has turned on.
16 [Power Indicator] ENGLISH •• This function enables you to change the [Power Indicator] settings. •• Setting to [On] will turn on [Power Indicator]. •• Setting to [Off] will turn off [Power Indicator]. •• Regardless of [On] or [Off] settings in [Power Indicator], [Power Indicator] will be turned on for approximately 15 seconds. [Power On/Off History] Display the device's power on/off history.
17 [LAN Daisy Chain] [SoftAP] If you set up a SoftAP, you can connect many devices via a Wi-Fi connection without a wireless router and use wireless Internet. •• The SoftAP and ScreenShare features cannot be used at the same time. •• On models that support Wi-Fi dongles, the SoftAP menu is enabled only when a Wi-Fi dongle is connected to the product. •• Wi-Fi Channel: You can directly select a Wi-Fi channel.
18 Tips for Network Settings ENGLISH •• Use a standard LAN cable (Cat5 or higher with an RJ45 connector) with this display. •• Many network connection problems during set up can often be fixed by re-setting the router or modem. After connecting the display to the home network, quickly power off and/or disconnect the power cable of the home network router or cable modem, Then power on and/or connect the power cable again.
19 Tips for When Configuring Wireless Network Settings ENGLISH •• The wireless network may be affected by interference from a device that uses 2.4 GHz frequency, such as a wireless telephone, Bluetooth device or microwave. Interference may also be caused by a device that uses 5 GHz frequency such as Wi-Fi devices. •• The wireless network service may run slowly depending on the surrounding wireless environment. •• Some devices may have a network traffic jam if any local home networks are turned on.
20 [Safety Mode] ENGLISH [General] [Safety Mode] Set to this function for safe performance. [ISM Method] If a still image is displayed on the screen for an extended period of time, image sticking can occur. The ISM method is a feature that prevents image sticking. [Mode] •• Sets the [ISM Method] mode. •• [Off]: Disable the Brightness Control function. •• [Orbiter]: To prevent afterimage on the screen, the screen location moves by 4 pixels in a regular order.
21 [Start Time] [End Time] •• Set the End time. •• This option is available only when [Repeat] is set to [Schedule]. •• You cannot set the same time for Start time and End time. [User Image Download] •• In order to download an image, there must be an image file in “ISM” folder on your USB storage device. •• Delete the existing images stored on internal memory before downloading a new image file. •• Supported image file formats: BMP, JPG, JPEG and PNG •• You can download up to 4 images.
22 [Advanced Setting] ENGLISH [General] [Advanced Setting] [Beacon] •• This option enables BLE Beacon, one of Bluetooth 4.0's features. •• Beacon Mode (On/Off Toggle): enables the Beacon feature. •• The LG Beacon/iBeacon/Eddystone Type Beacon features are supported. •• iBeacon -- Beacon UUID (hex): Set the UUID. 1. 23 [Control Interface] •• [PC/OPS Power Control]: Enable you to control the power of PC or OPS as you turn the display on and off. -- [Disable]: Disable [PC/OPS Power Control]. -- [Sync(On)]: Set the PC/OPS power to be turned on when the display is turned on. -- [Sync(On/Off)]: Set the PC/OPS power to be turned on when the display is turned on and set the PC/OPS power to be turned off when the display is turned off.
24 [Input Manager] ENGLISH You can set the PC or DTV label for each external input. [SIMPLINK Setup] •• When the [SIMPLINK Setup] is set to [On], you can use the SIMPLINK provided by LG Signage. •• [Device ID]: Set the ID of the device connected via CEC wiring. You can choose a value between [All] and [E]. •• [Standby]: Sets the scenarios for sending and receiving the OpStandBy (0x0c) command.
25 ENGLISH Display [Picture Mode] [Display] [Picture Mode] [Mode] This feature enables you to choose the optimal picture mode for your installation environment. •• [Mall/QSR], [Transportation], [Education], [Gov./Corp.]: Display the picture optimally for your installation environment. •• [General]: Display the picture at normal contrast, brightness, and sharpness. •• [APS]: Adjust the screen brightness to reduce power consumption.
26 [Customize] ENGLISH •• [Backlight]: Adjust the brightness of the screen by adjusting the brightness of the backlight. The closer the value is to 100, the brighter the screen is. •• [OLED Light]: Adjusts the brightness of the LED panel to control the brightness of the screen. •• [LED Light]: Adjust screen brightness by tuning the LED Light. Higher values increase brightness. •• [Contrast]: Adjust the difference between the light and dark areas of the picture.
27 ENGLISH •• [Picture Option]: Customize the picture options. -- [Noise Reduction]: Remove randomly popping dots to make the picture look clearer. -- [MPEG Noise Reduction]: Reduce the noise generated in the process of creating a digital video signal. -- [Black Level]: Adjust the brightness and contrast of the screen by adjusting the black level of the screen.
28 [Aspect Ratio] ENGLISH [Display] [Aspect Ratio] This feature enables you to change the picture size to view the picture at its optimal resolution. •• [Full Wide]: Stretch the picture to fill the screen. •• [Original]: Display the picture at its original resolution. [Rotation] [Display] [Rotation] [Screen Rotation] •• When turning the product on for the first time, the screen automatically rotates once depending on the installation environment.
29 [Advanced Setting] [Advanced Setting] [UHD Deep Color] If you connect an HDMI, DP, or OPS device to one of the Deep Color adjustable ports, you can select between UHD Deep Color On (6G) or Off (3G) in the UHD Deep Color settings menu. If a compatibility issue occurs with a graphics card when the Deep Color option is set to On at 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz, set the Deep Color option back to Off. •• HDMI, DP, and OPS specifications may vary depending on the input port.
30 [HDMI IT Content] ENGLISH Set the HDMI IT Contents function. •• [Off]: Disable the HDMI IT Contents function. •• [On]: Enable the HDMI IT Contents function. This feature automatically changes the monitor's picture mode based on HDMI Contents information when an HDMI signal is entered. Even if the monitor's picture mode has been changed by the HDMI IT Contents feature, you can change the picture mode again manually.
