PIPE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN INDOOR AND OUTDOOR UNIT

Pipe Connection Method/Precautions for

Series connections between Outdoor units

- Separate Y branch joints are needed for series connections between outdoor units.

- Please refer to the below connection examples to install pipe connections between outdoor

units.

- If the distance between the outdoor units becomes more than 2m(6.6ft), apply Oil Traps be-

tween the gas pipes.

- If the outdoor unit is located lower than the main pipe, apply Oil Trap.

Pipe connection between outdoor units (General Case)



The maximum pipe length

after the ﬁrst branching

between the outdoor units is

10m(33ft) or less

Pipes between outdoor units are 2m(6.6ft) or

less

Examples of Wrong Pipe Connections

Pipes between outdoor units are 2m(6.6ft) or

If the main pipe is

higher than the

outdoor units, oil is

accumulated in the

outdoor unit.

If there are differences in the height

between the outdoor units, oil is

accumulated in the lower outdoor unit.
