Connecting 15 USB Connection Antenna Connection Connect the USB port of USB Memory (or MP3 player, etc.) to the USB port on the front of the unit. Select [On] to mix karaoke channels into normal stereo. [16:9] Select when a 16:9 wide TV is connected. Display Mode The Display Mode setting works only when the TV Aspect mode is set to 4:3.
System Setting 5.1 Speaker Setup Make the following settings for the built-in 5.1 channel surrounds decoder. 1. Press SETUP. 2. Use WS to select AUDIO menu and then press D. 3. [Distance] After you connected speakers to your unit, set the Distance between the speakers and your listening point if the distance of Center or Rear speakers is bigger than the distance of Front speakers.
System Setting Rating Area Code Blocks playback of rated DVDs based on their contents. Not all discs are rated. Operating 23 Viewing a PHOTO file i Listening to music during slide show This unit can play discs with photo files. i 1. Select the DVD/CD or USB function by pressing FUNCTION. You can listen to music during slide show, if the disc contain music and photo files together. Use WSAD to highlight (~) icon then press ENTER to start slide show. 2. Press WS to select a folder, and then press ENTER. A list of files in the folder appears.
Operating Screen Saver The screen saver appears when you leave the unit in stop mode for about five minutes. System Select - Optional You must select the appropriate system mode for your TV system. If “NO DISC” appears in the display window, press and hold PAUSE/STEP (M) for more than five seconds to select a system. Displaying file information (ID3 TAG ) While playing an MP3 file containing file information, you can display the information by pressing DISPLAY.
Operating 25 Sound adjustment Setting the surround mode This system has a number of pre-set surround sound fields. You can select a desired sound mode by using EQ/ LG EQ. You can change the EQ/ LG EQ using AD arrow key while the EQ/ LG EQ information is displayed on. ,,Note yy In some of surround modes, on some speakers, there’s no sound or low sound. it, depends on the mode of surround and the source of audio, it is not defective.
Operating Advanced Operations Listening to music from your portable player or external device The unit can be used to play the music from many types of portable player or external devices. 1. Connect the portable player to the P. IN(PORTABLE IN) connector of the unit. Or Connect the external device to the AUX connector of the unit. 2. Turn the power on by pressing POWER. 3. Select the PORTABLE or AUX function by pressing FUNCTION. 4 4. Turn the portable player or external device and start it playing.
Troubleshooting 27 Troubleshooting PROBLEM No power No picture CORRECTION Plug the power cord into the wall outlet securely. Select the appropriate video input mode on the TV so the picture from the unit appears on the TV screen. Connect the video cables securely to both the TV and unit. Select the correct input mode of the unit so you can hear the sound from the unit. There is little or no sound Connect the audio cables into the connection terminals correctly. Replace with a new audio cable.
Appendix Maintenance Handling the Unit When shipping the unit Please save the original shipping carton and packing materials. If you need to ship the unit, for maximum protection, re-pack the unit as it was originally packed at the factory. Keeping the exterior surfaces clean yy Do not use volatile liquids such as insecticide spray near the unit. yy Wiping with strong pressure may damage the surface. yy Do not leave rubber or plastic products in contact with the unit for a long period of time.
