Using
the
Karaoke
Function

Load
a
karaoke
disc.

Set
the
MIC
VOL
control
to
the
minimum
level
to
prevent
acoustic
feedback
(e.g.
a
loud
howling
sound)
before
connecting
the
microphone.

Connect
a
microphone
to
MIC1
or
MIC2
or
to
both
sockets.

Press
PLAY
to
start
playback.

Adjust
MIC
VOL
control
and
then
sing
a
song.
If
you
want
to
set
KARAOKE
option
follow
steps
6-8.

Press
KARAOKE.
KARAOKE
menu
appears.

Use
3/4
to
select
an
desired
item
(ECHO,
KEY,
VOICE,
MELODY
or
EFFECT).
The
display
changes
as
shown
in
the
chart
below.

to
adjust
value
of
the
item
selected.
ECHO:
You
can
adjust
the
echo
volume
by
pressing
the
1/2
buttons.
KEY:
You
can
change
the
key by
pressing
the
1/2
buttons.

If
you
select
Harmony
of
EFFECT
after
changing
the
key,
KEY
is
set
to
initial
mode
automatically.
?
If
audio
mode
of
DVD
is
set
to
6CH
by
pressing
AUDIO,
you
can
not
select
KEY.
EFFECT:
You
can use
Special
Effects.
Each
time
1/2
is
pressed,
the
Special
Effect
changes
as
shown
below.

VOICE:
If
you
wish
to
sing
a
duet
with
the
recorded
karaoke
singer,
select
a
voice
you

you
wish
to
sing only
to
the
backing
band
or
orchestra
unaccompanied
by
a
vocal
guide
melody,
set
Guide
Melody
to
OFF.

KARAOKE
to
exit
the
KARAOKE
menu.
Notes
The
karaoke
feature
functions
only
with
karaoke-compatible
discs.
The
Voice
Select
and
Guide
Melody
menus
may
not
be
available
on
some
karaoke
discs.
If
a
microphone
is
connected
to
the
DVD
player,
you
can
not
set
Digital
Audio
Output
of
setup
menu.
If
a
microphone
is
connected
to
the
DVD
player,
SOUND
button
is
not
available
during
DVD
playback
and
SOUND
and
AUDIO
button
is
not
available
during
Audio
CD/Video
CD
playback.
The
Karaoke
function
may
not
be
available
on
some
discs
(ex.
MP3,
DTS
CD,
when
DVD
audio
mode
is
set
to
DTS,
etc.).
