Connecting Connections to Your TV Make one of the following connections, depending on the capabilities of your existing equipment. HDMI OUT Connection If you have a HDMI TV or monitor, you can connect it to this player using a HDMI cable (Type A, High Speed HDMI™ Cable). Connect the HDMI OUT jack on the player to the HDMI IN jack on a HDMI compatible TV or monitor.
Connecting 15 Resolution Setting Component Video Connection You can change the resolution for component video and HDMI output. Connect the COMPONENT VIDEO (PROGRESSIVE SCAN) OUTPUT jacks on the unit to the corresponding input jacks on the TV using Y PB PR cables. Press RESOLUTION repeatedly to select the desired resolution - 480i (or 576i), 480p (or 576p), 720p, 1080i, 1080p. The resolution may not be selected depending on the connection or TV.
Connecting Video Connection Connect the MONITOR jack on the unit to the video in jack on the TV using a video cable. You can hear the sound through the system’s speakers. System Setting Adjust the Setup settings By using the Setup menu, you can make various adjustments to items such as picture and sound. You can also set a language for the subtitles and the Setup menu, among other things. To start playing at any chosen time on the file or title. 1. Press DISPLAY during playback. 2. Press WS to select the time clock icon and “--:--:--” appears. 3. Input the required start time in hours, minutes, and seconds from left to right. If you enter the wrong numbers, press CLEAR to remove the numbers you entered.
Operating Viewing a PHOTO file i This unit can play discs with photo files. i 1. Select the DVD/CD or USB function by pressing FUNCTION. You can listen to music during slide show, if the disc contain music and photo files together. Use WSAD to highlight (~) icon then press ENTER to start slide show. 2. Screen Saver The screen saver appears when you leave the unit in stop mode for about five minutes. System Select - Optional You must select the appropriate system mode for your TV system. If “NO DISC” appears in the display window, press and hold PAUSE/STEP (M) for more than five seconds to select a system.

Operating Advanced Operations Listening to music from your portable player or external device The unit can be used to play the music from many types of portable player or external devices. 1. Connect the portable player to the PORT. IN(PORTABLE IN) connector of the unit. Or Connect the external device to the AUX connector of the unit. 2. Turn the power on by pressing POWER. 3. Select the PORTABLE or AUX function by pressing FUNCTION.
Troubleshooting 31 Troubleshooting PROBLEM No power No picture CORRECTION Plug the power cord into the wall outlet securely. Select the appropriate video input mode on the TV so the picture from the unit appears on the TV screen. Connect the video cables securely to both the TV and unit. Select the correct input mode of the unit so you can hear the sound from the unit. There is little or no sound Connect the audio cables into the connection terminals correctly. Replace with a new audio cable.
Appendix Maintenance Handling the Unit When shipping the unit Please save the original shipping carton and packing materials. If you need to ship the unit, for maximum protection, re-pack the unit as it was originally packed at the factory.
