Connecting Connections to Your TV Make one of the following connections, depending on the capabilities of your existing equipment. HDMI OUT Connection If you have a HDMI TV or monitor, you can connect it to this player using a HDMI cable(Type A, High Speed HDMI™ Cable). Connect the HDMI OUT jack on the player to the HDMI IN jack on a HDMI compatible TV or monitor.
Connecting 15 Resolution Setting Component Video Connection You can change the resolution for component video and HDMI output. Connect the COMPONENT VIDEO (PROGRESSIVE SCAN) OUTPUT jacks on the unit to the corresponding input jacks on the TV using Y PB PR cables. System Setting Adjust the Setup settings By using the Setup menu, you can make various adjustments to items such as picture and sound. You can also set a language for the subtitles and the Setup menu, among other things. Operating Other Operations Displaying Disc Information on-screen You can display various information about the disc loaded on-screen. 1. Press 显示 to show various playback information. The displayed items differ depending on the disc type or playing status. 2. You can select an item by pressing WS and change or select the setting by pressing AD. -- Title – Current title number/ total number of titles. -- Chapter – Current chapter number/total number of chapters. 4 -- Time – Elapsed playing time.
Operating 25 Starting play from selected time Programmed Playback ry The program function enables you to store your favourite files from any disc or USB device. To start playing at any chosen time on the file or title. 1. Press 显示 during playback. 2. Press WS to select the time clock icon and “--:--:--” appears. 3. Input the required start time in hours, minutes, and seconds from left to right. If you enter the wrong numbers, press 清除 to remove the numbers you entered. Then input the correct numbers.
Operating Viewing a PHOTO file i This unit can play discs with photo files. i 1. Select the DVD/CD or USB function by pressing 功能. You can listen to music during slide show, if the disc contain music and photo files together. Use WSAD to highlight (~) icon then press 进入 to start slide show. 2. Press WS to select a folder, and then press 进 入. A list of files in the folder appears.
Operating 27 Turn off the sound temporarily Press 静音 to mute your unit. You can mute your unit, for example, to answer the telephone, the “MUTE” displayed in the display window. Screen Saver The screen saver appears when you leave the unit in stop mode for about five minutes. System Select - Optional You must select the appropriate system mode for your TV system. If “NO DISC” appears in the display window, press and hold 暂停/步距 (M) for more than five seconds to select a system.
Operating Presetting the Radio Stations You can preset 50 stations for FM. Before tuning, make sure that you have turned down the volume. 1. Press 功能 until FM appears in the display window. 2. Select the desired frequency by using 调台 (-/+). 3. Press 编辑/记忆 a preset number will flash in the display window. 4. Press 预设 (WS) to select the preset number you want. 5. Press 编辑/记忆. Operating 29 Sound adjustment Setting the surround mode This system has a number of pre-set surround sound fields. You can select a desired sound mode by using 音效/ 特效. You can change the 音效/ 特效 using AD arrow key while the 音效/ 特效 information is displayed on. ,,Note yy In some of surround modes, on some speakers, there’s no sound or low sound. it, depends on the mode of surround and the source of audio, it is not defective.
Operating Advanced Operations Listening to music from your portable player or external device The unit can be used to play the music from many types of portable player or external devices. 1. Connect the portable player to the PORT. IN(PORTABLE IN) connector of the unit. Or Connect the external device to the AUX connector of the unit. 2 Turn the power on by pressing 电源. 3 Select the PORTABLE or AUX function by pressing 功能. 4 4 Turn the portable player or external device and start it playing.
Troubleshooting 31 Troubleshooting PROBLEM No power No picture CORRECTION Plug the power cord into the wall outlet securely. Select the appropriate video input mode on the TV so the picture from the unit appears on the TV screen. Connect the video cables securely to both the TV and unit. Select the correct input mode of the unit so you can hear the sound from the unit. There is little or no sound Connect the audio cables into the connection terminals correctly. Replace with a new audio cable.
Appendix Maintenance Handling the Unit When shipping the unit Please save the original shipping carton and packing materials. If you need to ship the unit, for maximum protection, re-pack the unit as it was originally packed at the factory.
