Installation 13 3 Installation Assembling the speaker stand to the speaker Attach the speakers to the speaker stands by rotateing the screws. Before connecting the speakers, assemble the speakers. Installation Attaching the speakers to the main unit 1. You will have received six speaker cables. Each one is color-coded by a band near each end and connects one of the six speakers to the unit. 3 Installation 2. Connect the wires to the unit. Match each wire’s colored band to the same colored connection terminal on the rear of the unit. To connect the cable to the unit, press each plastic finger pad to open the connection terminal. Insert the wire and release the finger pad.
Installation WIRELESS Receiver LED indicator LED Color Operation Blue The wireless receiver is receiving the signal of the wireless transmitter. Red The Wireless Receiver is in standby mode. Off (No display) The Wireless Receiver is turned off. Initial ID setting Wireless Receiver 1. Connect the Wireless Receiver and the rear speaker (right, left) with the speaker cables. 2. Connect the power cord of the Wireless Receiver to the outlet.
Installation About Ferrite Core (for EMI only) Be sure to attach the ferrite core to the speaker cable. By connecting this Ferrite core to Unit it can reduce interference Noise. This ferrite core can reduce noises. How to attach the ferrite core 1. Press the stopper [a] of the ferrite core to open. 2. Wind the speaker cables once on the ferrite core. 3 3. Close the ferrite core until it clicks. Refer to the fig.3 and comment.
Installation Positioning the system A Front left speaker (L)/ B Front right speaker (R): Place the front speakers to the sides of the monitor or screen and as flush with the screen surface as possible. Installation Connections to Your TV Component Video Connection Make one of the following connections, depending on the capabilities of your existing equipment. You can hear the sound through the system’s speakers. Connect the COMPONENT VIDEO OUTPUT (PROGRESSIVE SCAN) jacks on the unit to the corresponding input jacks on the TV using component cables.
Installation HDMI Out Connection HDMI Connection NOTE • If a connected HDMI device does not accept the audio output of the unit, the HDMI device’ s audio sound may be distorted or may not be output. • When you connect a HDMI or DVI compatible device make sure of the following: - Try switching off the HDMI/DVI input device and this unit. Next, switch on the HDMI/DVI input device first and leave it for around 30 seconds, then switch on this unit allowing it time to connect to input device.

Installation Resolution Setting The unit provides several output resolutions for HDMI OUT and COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks. You can change the resolution using [Setup] menu. 1. Press HOME. 2. Use I/i to select the [Setup] and press ENTER. USB Connection USB device requirement 1. Choose a different function mode or press STOP (x) twice in a row.

Installation By using the Setup menu, you can make various adjustments to items such as picture and sound. You can also set a language for the subtitles and the Setup menu, among other things. For details on each Setup menu item, see pages 25 to 29. OSD Initial language settings During the first use of this unit, the initial language setup menu appears on your TV screen. You must complete initial language selection before using the unit. English will be selected as the initial language. 1.

Installation 5.1 Speaker Setup Make the following settings for the built-in 5.1 channel surround decoder. 1. Select [5.1 Speaker Setup] on the [Audio] menu. 2. Press ENTER. The [5.1 Speaker setup] appears. [Speaker selection] Select a speaker that you want to adjust. NOTE Certain speaker settings are prohibited by the Dolby Digital licensing agreement. [Size] Since the speaker settings are fixed, you cannot change the settings. [Volume] Press I i to adjust the output level of the selected speaker.
Installation DRC (Dynamic Range Control) Make the sound clear when the volume is turned down (Dolby Digital only). Set to [On] for this effect. Vocal Select [On] to mix karaoke channels into normal stereo. This function is effective for multi-channel karaoke DVDs only. HD AV Sync 3 Installation Sometimes Digital TV encounters a delay between picture and sound.

Operation Sleep Timer Setting System Select - Optional Press SLEEP one or more times to select delay time between 10 and 180 minutes, after the unit will turn off. You must select the appropriate system mode for your TV system. Press and hold X (PAUSE/ STEP) for more than five seconds to be able to select a system in the [Home] menu. Sound adjustment Setting the surround mode On Display Description CLRVOICE This program makes voice /speech sound clear, improving the quality of vocal sound. (We encourage to use this EQ when you watch the movie of 5.1 channel.) This system has a number of pre-set surround sound fields. You can select a desired sound mode by using SOUND EFFECT. You can change the SOUND EFFECT using I i arrow key while the sound effect information is displayed on.
Operation Advanced Operations Recording to USB You can record music or sound souce to USB device by connecting in to the port on the unit. 1. Connect the USB device to the unit. 2. Select a mode in which you want to record. Play back a sound source first. 3. Start the recording by pressing z REC. 4. To stop recording, press x (STOP).
