Connections Basic connection Connecting RS-485 device The peripheral devices (DVR, monitor, etc.), AC/DC adapter and cables are not supplied. Use these cables to connect an external controller of RS-485 format. 1. Make the video signal connection between the camera and the monitor or DVR. 2. Connect an external power source to the power input jack of the camera.
Installation Mounting the Camera You can mount the camera on a ceiling or wall. Surface mount Follow the instructions below to mount the camera on a surface with supplied camera mounting bracket. 1. 12 Use the installation guide template to check the mounting location. Face the front of the label toward the area of interest. Using the template as a guide, make a hole through the ceiling. 2. Pass the connection cable through the inner side of the ceiling.
Installation 3. Install the camera mounting bracket to the ceiling. 4. Connect the cables to the cable jacks of the camera body.
Installation 5. Assemble the camera and mounting bracket. Connect the unit by following step a and b. Wall mount with optional mounting bracket housing Follow the instructions below to mount the camera on a surface with optional mounting bracket housing. 1. 14 Install the mounting bracket housing to the ceiling.
Installation 2. Fasten the camera mounting bracket to the mounting bracket housing. 3. Connect the cables and assemble the camera and mounting bracket housing. Connect the unit by following step a and b.
Installation Wall mount (Optional) Follow the instructions below to install the camera with a wall mount. 1. Drill holes in the wall where you want to install the wall mount. 2. 16 Install the wall mount installation bracket. 3. Install the wall mount assembly as shown below.
Installation 4. Connect the cables to the camera jacks. 5. Attach the camera to the wall mount assembly.
Pendant mount (Optional) Follow the instructions below to install the camera with a pendant mount. 1. Drill holes in the wall where you want to install the pendant mount. 2. 18 Pass the connection cable through the pendant mount assembly so that they hang down. 3. Install the pendant mount assembly.
4. Connect the cables to the camera jacks. 5. Attach the camera to the pendant mount assembly.
Installation Image Adjustment You can manually adjust the pan/tilt/azimuth angles, focus, and zoom while observing the connected monitor. Notes: t Do not hold the camera by lens unit to adjust panning, tilting, or azimuth. t The video output to the BNC will be interrupted while a portable monitor is connected to the video jack. 1. Disassemble the dome cover ring. Use the supplied wrench to loosen the screws and then remove the dome cover and lens cover. 20 2.

Menu Operation This camera utilizes an on-screen user MENU. To set items on the menu, use the following buttons. t UP button: Used to move upper direction on the menu screen. Use this button to select an item or adjust the parameters. t DOWN button: Used to move lower direction on the menu screen. Use this button to select an item or adjust the parameters. t RIGHT button: Moves the cursor to the right. Used to increment the value selected in the menu.

Menu Operation Camera Identification Settings Exposure Settings You can use the camera identification (CAMERA ID) to assign a number to the camera. You can set the exposure options using the EXPOSURE menu. 1. Select [CAMERA ID] option on the [CAMERA SETTING] menu. 2. Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] to select a CAMERA ID. 28 1. Select [EXPOSURE] option on the [CAMERA SETTING] menu. 2. Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to select a mode. (ALC2yALyELC) 3. Press [SET] button and the EXPOSURE menu appears.
Menu Operation > WDR/BLC setting Use WDR/BLC option to view the object clearly in backlight conditions. t t ACE (Adaptive Contrast Enhancement) : This function is used when you want to display dark areas of WDR brightly. BLC: Camera's backlight compensation feature helps alleviate issues of visibility in high contrast areas. Set the BLC limit. HSBLC: Use for masking brightness of the specific area to view the subject more clearly. The HSBLC mode is automatically activated only in low luminance scene.
Menu Operation > t MASK: Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to select [ON] or [OFF]. If you set the MASK to ON, the mask function is activate only when the HSBLC is automatically activated in low luminance scene. OFF: Not used. AGC (Automatic Gain Control) setting If the images are too dark, change the maximum [AGC] value to make the images brighter. Brightness setting You can increase the brightness of the darkened video. If you set the brightness to lower value, the image is darkened.
Menu Operation SHUTTER (Shutter Speed) setting SENS-UP setting Select the desired shutter speed for camera exposure. You can change the shutter speed to higher speed to capture fast-moving subjects, though the image becomes darker. If pictures are not clear due to darkness, this SENS-UP operation would increase the sensitivity of picture. 1. 1. Select [SHUTTER] option. 2. Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to set shutter speed. Note: If you set the shutter speed value in ALC2 mode, it is maximum value.
Menu Operation Note: White Balance settings If you set to one of the SHUTTER options except AUTO on the [SHUTTER] menu the [SENS-UP] setting is not available and [---] mark is displayed. Select the method by which the camera shifts its output colors to compensate for the color of a light source. 1. 2. 32 Select [WHITE BAL] option. Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to select a mode then press [SET].
Menu Operation Note: - Proper white balance may not be obtained under the following conditions. t - The color temperature is out of the 1 700 K to 11 000 K range. - When the scene contains mostly high color temperature objects, such as a blue sky or sunset. - When the scene is dim. AUTO: You can set the white balance options automatically. > t t > > INDOOR: The color temperature range for the proper white balance is approximately 3 200 K.
Menu Operation > t DWELL TIME: Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to select a dwell time. DAY: Color mode enabled. t NIGHT: Black-and-white mode enabled. Day/Night Setting 1. Select [DAY/NIGHT] option. 2. Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to select mode for day/ night function. t AUTO: You will be able to change the Day/Night mode automatically. Note: If you set the AGC to [OFF] on the [EXPOSURE] menu, the AUTO mode of the DAY/NIGHT function is not available and [---] mark is displayed.
Menu Operation > Motion Detection Setting The motion detection detects the moving objects in the scene by monitoring changes in brightness level. You can select the level of sensitivity for motion detection. 1. Select [MOTION DET] option. 2. Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to select [ON] and press [SET]. The MOTION DETECTION menu appears. t SMART MD : You can detect the movement of objects easily by displaying motion mask.
Menu Operation 3D-DNR Setting 1. Select [3D-DNR] option. If pictures are not clear due to brightness, this option would reduce the noise of picture. 2. Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to select a option. 36 Notes: t If you set the AGC to [OFF] on the [EXPOSURE] menu, the [3D-DNR] function is not available and [---] mark is displayed. t When you use this function, the afterimage may occur.
Menu Operation Privacy Setting t > This function is aiming at the protection of personal privacy, selecting a screen part black not to be displayed in the screen. 1. Select [PRIVACY] option. 2. Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to select a [ON] and press [SET]. The PRIVACY SETUP menu appears. t COLOR : You can make any color by adjusting R.G.B LEVEL. t TRANSPARENCY : You can adjust the transparency of MASK. RECTANGLE : t Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to select a mask on the [MASK NUMBER].
Menu Operation > 38 Use [UP] or [DOWN] to select an option then use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to adjust the option. HEIGHT: Enlarge or decrease the vertical size of the mask. WIDTH: Enlarge or decrease the horizontal size of the mask. MOVE Y: Moves vertical position of the mask. MOVE X: Moves horizontal position of the mask. RADIUS SIZE : You can adjust the RADIUS SIZE. t POLYGON : > > > > Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to select a mask on the [MASK NUMBER].
Menu Operation Special Menu Settings This menu lets you adjust and set up D-ZOOM, D-EFFECT, SHARPNESS, COLOR, STABILIZER, SYNC, USER TITLE, LANGUAGE function by yourself in the SPECIAL menu. 1. Select [SPECIAL] option. 2. Press [SET] button and the SPECIAL menu appears. Setting the D-ZOOM (Digital Zoom ) level You can select the digital zoom level. 1. Select [D-ZOOM] option on the [SPECIAL] menu. 2. Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to select a [ON] then press [SET] the DIGITAL ZOOM menu appears.
Menu Operation t TILT: Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to move the screen. (up or down) Setting the SHARPNESS effect The degree to which the boundary of the two portions is clearly distinguished. Setting the D-EFFECT (Digital effect) You can select the digital effect. 1. 2. 40 Select [D-EFFECT] option on the [SPECIAL] menu. Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to select a digital effect. t V-FLIP: Flip the picture vertically. t ROTATE: Rotate the picture. (180°) t MIRROR: Turn on the mirror effect.
Menu Operation Setting the COLOR effect STABILIZER setting You can switch the displayed picture to gray scale or color. The image stabilizer function minimizes the appearance of shaky images caused by low-frequency vibration. This function is useful for outdoor surveillance. Select [STABILIZER] option and set to ON or OFF. 1. 2. Select [COLOR] option on the [SPECIAL] menu. Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to change a color effect. t ON: To display the picture with color.
Menu Operation Setting the SYNC (Synchronization) The SYNC function is available only with AC power source. 1. Select [SYNC] option on the [SPECIAL] menu. 2. Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button to select [INT] or [LL] (Line Lock). t INT: Selects for using the internal synchronization. 2-1. Select [LL] mode and press [SET]. 2-2. Select a desired phase using the [LEFT] or [RIGHT] button. Note: When you use the DC 12 V power, the [SYNC] option is fixed to [INT] mode only.

Language Setting Select the viewer language for the camera setup menu and OSD information display. A 3.
