DVD, TV, and AUX screen is not available while driving. This unit is for vehicles with a 12-volt battery and negative grounding. Before installing it in a recreational vehicle, lorry or bus, check the battery voltage. to avoid shorts in electrical system, be sure to disconnect the E battery cable before beginning installation.

Before operation A section whose title has one of the following symbols is applicable only to the disc represented by the symbol. DVD CD DVD Audio CDs About the MP3 MP3 files Symbol Display When you are watching a DVD and attempt to perform an operation, it may not be performed by the programming on the disc. When this happens, this unit indicates the button on the screen.
Before operation • A defective or soiled disc inserted into unit can cause sound to drop out during playback. • Handle the disc by holding its inner and outer edges. • Do not touch the surface of the unlabeled side of the disc. Do not stick paper or tape etc. on the surface. Do not expose the disc to direct sunlight or excessive heat. 8 cm This unit cannot be operated by 8cm disc (using 12cm disc only). • Clean the disc before playback. Wipe the disc from the center outward with a cleaning cloth.
Basic operation Front panel Power ON/OFF - Turns on/off main unit. VOL - Adjusts the volume. AUX - Selects the component connected to the AUX IN jack. INFO - Changes the display setup. FM/AM - Selects the band. AV OFF - Audio and video pause. DISC - Selects the disc. Z OPEN TV - Selects the TV. - Opens the monitor. v TILT V ZOOM # - Diminishs the map level. ZOOM 3 - Enlarges the map level. - Adjusts monitor angle. LCD OFF - Turns off the LCD power. RESET - If the unit fails to operate properly.

Basic operation Turning the unit on Press the “ON/VOL” button. Turning the unit off Press the “ON/VOL” button again. Insert a disc 1. Press the “Z OPEN” button to open the monitor. 2. Draws the disc, and starts playback automatically. Eject a disc Press “Z OPEN” to open the front panel. When the disc is ejected by pressing “Z” during playback, it will be loaded automatically after 10 seconds unless you remove the disc from the unit.
Setup operation SETUP You can set the setup on the screen to make it operate according to your particular needs. 1. Press the “INFO” button to select the setup. 2. The “SETUP” screen displays on the screen. Bell Sound Vol. (Bell sound volume) You can set the ringer volume on incoming calls. Touch the + or - button to adjust settings. Device Info. (Device information) You can check the Software version, Hardware version, Map version and OS version. Language You can set the display language. 1.
Setup operation TV Setting Color You can set a proper TV signal type. • PAL : PAL is used in most of western European countries. • SECAM : SECAM uses the same band with as PAL but transmits the color information sequentially. Background You can select one of your still images stored in the memory. 1. Touch the v or V button to select a still image you want. 2. Touch the “Select” button. Note Touch the button in current screen to exit previous screen.
Bluetooth operation Using a Bluetooth wireless connection. Your unit supports Bluetooth wireless connection. You can set up a wireless link with Bluetooth phone. Starting Bluetooth on your phone. Your phone’s Bluetooth feature may be set to off by default. To use your car Bluetooth feature, Bluetooth must be turned on in your phone. Note • Refer to your phone’s user guide. • Refer to the page 59 for details. Pairing your unit and Bluetooth phone. Connection through the unit 1.
Bluetooth operation 6. In an initial connection, the user will see the "INPUT PIN CODE" screen as shown in the figure. For successful connection, make sure to enter the same PIN code (1234) for Bluetooth phone and the unit. 7. Touch the 0~9 buttons, then confirm. 8. Touch the “Enter” button to pairing complete. 9. If successfully connected, the Bluetooth phone will be registered. You can confirm it with the checking mark in the "CONNECT PHONE" screen.
Bluetooth operation Connection through Bluelooth phone Turn on a Bluetooth phone. Refer to your phone’s user guide. 1. Press the PHONE button to select the phone. 2. Touch the button. The “PHONE SETUP” screen displays on the screen. 3. Touch the “Connect” button. The “CONNECT PHONE” screen displays in the screen. The Bluetooth phone can be found (searched) only on the "CONNECT PHONE" screen. 4. Perform "searching a Bluetooth device" in the Bluetooth phone. 5.
Bluetooth operation PHONE SETUP 1. Touch the PHONE SETUP button. 2. The PHONE SETUP screen displays on the screen. Connect You can check the connected Bluetooth phone. BT Info. (Bluetooth Information) You can check the Bluetooth information. Connection Mode Auto : Since the Bluetooth phone succeed in connecting at the first time would be registered at the "CONNECT PHONE", it would be automatically connected. Manual : It would try to connect from the list registered at "CONNECT PHONE".
Bluetooth operation RENAME • Enter name is displayed • Keypad button • Erase all entered character • Delete the previous character at the cursor position • Inserts a space at the cursor position • Changes the language. • Confirm the entered name Note Symbols such as - , and etc are inputed from the left to the right. PHONE BOOK You can view all entry numbers according to Phone, Home or Office. Touch the “PHONE BOOK” button. Send You can call to dial the phone book entry. Info.
Bluetooth operation PHONE BOOK INFO. (Phone book information) You can view all entry numbers one person has. If the entry has more than one phone number. you can set up one of them as a main number. From this screen, you can make a call as displayed here. 1. Touch a phone number you want to set the default number for phone book lists. 2. Touch the Default button to change the entry’s default phone number. 3. Touch END.
Bluetooth operation Making a call from speed dial numbers To make a call from a speed dial numbers, press "SEND" for long after pressing the speed dial number assigned to Bluetooth phone, or press the last digit of the speed dial number for long. • When making a call from a speed dial number 10, press 10 and press "SEND" button for long. • When making a call from a speed dial number 10, press 1 and press 0 for long. Note Make sure that the speed dial function in Bluetooth phone is enabled before using.
Bluetooth operation Answering calls When you receive a call, your phone rings and display an incoming call message. 1. The “CALL FROM” screen displays on the screen. 2. Touch the “RECEIVE” button to answer the call. If you want to switch over by the phone, touch the “REJECT” button. Note • If the phone number is available, the phone number of the caller is display. • If the phone number is in the phone book, phone book entry name is displayed.
Radio operation Listening to radio stations 1. Press the “FM/AM” button to select the radio. 2. Press the “FM/AM” repeatedly to select a band. The indicator lights up in the following order. FM1 t FM2 t FM3 t AM 3. Auto Search : Touch the ?m or M? buttons. When a station is received, searching stops. Manual Search : Touch the m or M button repeatedly. The channels move up or down step by step. AS (Auto Store) This function lets you automatically store the 6 strongest broadcast stations. 1.
Radio operation EQ (Equalizer) Touch the “EQ” button to adjust the effect. The item changes as follow. FLAT t CLASSIC t JAZZ t ROCK t FLAT... • • • • FLA T : CLASSIC : JAZZ : ROCK : Cancels equalizer play. Optimized for orchestral music. Sweet sound with soft feeling. Optimized for Hard Rock and Heavy Metal music. SOUND Touch the “SOUND” button to adjust the balance and fader. BALANCE/FADER (Default : Center) 1. Touch the “Left” or “Right” button.
TV operation Watching the TV tuner 1. Press the “TV” button to select a band. 2. Press the “TV” button repeatdly until the desired band is displayed TV1 or TV2. 3. Touch the screen to display the touch panel keys. 4. Auto Search : Touch the ?m or M? buttons. When a channel is received, searching stops. Manual Search : Touch the m or M button repeatedly. TV operation SCREEN Touch the “SCREEN” button during playback. You can change to a different monitor type and ambient light level during playback. CD/MP3 operation Playing an audio CD and MP3 disc - Refer to the page 12 for details. Note The unit can play MP3 file format recordings on CD-ROM, CD-R or CD-RW discs. Before playing MP3 recordings, read the notes on MP3 Recordings on page 29. Skip the next track Touch briefly the M? button to select the next track. Skip the previous track Touch briefly the ?m button within 3 seconds of playing time. Return the beginning of the current track Touch briefly the ?m button after 3 seconds of playing time.
CD/MP3 operation Marking a track using the list This functions only for MP3 . 1. Touch to the file you want. 2. Touch the “MARK” button. The selected file is marked . To cancel, touch it again. 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to mark other track. 4. Touch the “END” button to return to play screen. Marking during playback This functions only for MP3 . 1. Touch the ?m or M? buttons to select a track you want. 2. Touch the “MARK” button during playing the track. The current track is marked .
CD/MP3 operation SHUFFLE Touch the “SHUFFLE” button during playback. The item changes as follow. OFF t ALL t FOLDER t OFF... MP3 OFF t ON t OFF... CD • OFF : Cancels shuffle play. • ALL : Plays randomly all tracks on the disc. • FOLDER : Plays randomly all tracks of the current folder. EQ (Equalizer) Touch the “EQ” button during playback. - Refer to the page 24 for details. SOUND Touch the “SOUND” button during playback. Refer to the page 24 for details.
DVD operation Playing a DVD disc Draws the disc, and “Disc reading” appears on the display window, and playback starts automatically. If playback does not start, press B button. Note • It takes several seconds for the unit to detect a disc type. • In some cases, the disc menu might appear instead. • If “ ” appears on the screen, the disc cannot accept the operation you have tried. • DVDs may have a region code. Your unit will not play the disc that has a region code different from the one for your unit.
DVD operation Pause 1. 2. Touch the ?? button during playback. To return to playback, press the B button. Skip the next chapter/track Touch briefly the M? button to select the next chapter/track. Skip the previous chapter/track Touch briefly the ?m button within 4 seconds of playing time. Return the beginning of the current chapter/track Touch briefly the ?m button after 4 seconds of playing time. Search Touch and hold the m or M button during playback and then release at the point you want.
DVD operation Operating the TITLE When a disc has more than one title, you can move to another title as follows. 1. Touch the screen during playback. The setup screen displays on the screen. 2. Touch the “TITLE” button. b or B button to select a title you want. 3. Touch the v,V,b 4. Touch the PLAY or ENTER button to playback. Operating the NUMBER DVD Use the number buttons to select the chapter or title you want to view. 1. Touch the screen during playback. The setup screen displays on the screen. 2.
DVD operation AUDIO Touch the “AUDIO” button during playback. If the disc contains multi- audio languages, you can change to a different audio language during playback. The menu item changes. SUBTITLE Touch the “SUBTITLE” button during playback. If the disc contains multi- subtitle languages, you can change to a different subtitle language during playback. The menu item changes. ANGLE Touch the “ANGLE” button during playback.
DVD operation Aspect Ratio Select the monitor type your unit to play DVD recorded with aspect ratio of 16:9. 16:9 t 4:3 t ZOOM1 t ZOOM2 t 16:9... 16:9 Select when the aspect ratio your screen is fixed to 16:9 (Wide screen). 4:3 Select when the aspect ratio your screen is fixed to 4:3 (Conventional screen). ZOOM1 A 4:3 picture is enlarged in the horizontal direction only, enabling you to enjoy a 4:3 TV picture (normal picture) without any omissions.
AUX Operation Using a AUX source It is possible to use auxiliary equipment with unit. Activate the auxiliary function when using auxiliary equipment connected to the unit. Menu and Map display Map description There are various buttons and buttons on the map screen that are used to plan and view a route. 1. Press the “NAVI” button to select the navigation. 2. The map screen is displayed on the screen. The current location of your vehicle. The arrow indicates your heading, and the display moves automatically as you drive. n Compass indicator. (The red arrow indicates north.) Each touch changes the map’s display direction. (North UP or Heading UP.
Menu and Map display Guide mode The map of your surroundings is shown on the left, and an arrow indicating the direction of travel is shown on the right. - Refer to the page 50 for details. (Route Overview) If press this button, the enlarged map disappears. Trace mode You can check information about the route between your current location and your destination. b : Go backward from current position. B : Go forward from current position. [b : Go to start point.
Menu and Map display Scrolling the map display Whenever you switch to the map display, your current position is shown just below the center of the display. However, you can scroll the map in any direction using the finger touch in the direction you wish to scroll. To stop scrolling, release the finger touch and allow it to return to the center position. Scrolling will stop immediately. It will be returned automatically after 10 seconds.
Menu and Map display Changing the map scale The current map scale is indicated by the map scale indicator toward the bottom left of the unit. You can easily increase or decrease the map scale (zoom in or zoom out) using the # and 3 buttons on the Navigation commander. Each click steps the scale up or down in the following order: 50 m n 100 m n 200 m n 500 m n 1 km n 2 km n 5 km n 10 km n 20 km n 50 km n 100 km n 200 km n 500 km Note Hold the button down to zoom in or out in smaller increments.

Touch the “Guide” button. 12. To guide you to your destination. The navigation will give you spoken instructions and visual instructions on the screen. Selecting your country If the destination is in another country, you should changes the country settings. 1. Touch the “Zone (Eg : BAHRAIN)” button. 2.
Menu and Map display Add destination You can select way points (locations you want to visit on the way to your destination) and you can calculate the route to pass through these locations. Note • You can add up to four way points. • This function is useful when you have more than one destination along your route. • If more than two destinations exist, the button allows to change the up and down position of the list when clicking items in the list. You can manually re-arrange list by using this button.
Finding a location Destination Touch the “Destination” button. The menu appears on the screen. Memory Points You can register a single stored location for easy and quick routing from any current location. One use of this feature might be to store the location of your office, for example. Or you might enter a favorite restaurant that you often visit. A maximum of 100 memory points can be saved. 1. Touch the “Memory Points” button. The item appears only after a stored locations is registered. 2.
Finding a location Modify memory point You can select a point from your list of stored “MEMORY POINT”. You can also save or edit points from this item. 1. Touch an item from the list. The listing is highlighted in orange. 2. Touch the “Modify” button. The “MODIFY MEMORY POINTS” screen appears on the screen. You can change the name. Enter the new name. - Refer to the page 19 for details. (RENAME) You can select alarm type. Touch a button you want from the items.
Finding a location Previous Dest. (Previous destination) The “Previous Dest.” is a convenient list of places that you have routed to in the past. Up to previous destinations are stored in the list, and you can register or delete particular listings at any time. To set a route back to one of these listings, all you have to do is to select it from the list. 1. Touch the the “Previous Dest.” button. The “PREVIOUS DESTINATIONS” screen appears on the screen. 2. Touch an item from the list.
Finding a location Address Search : Street If you know the street of your destination, you can use it to set a route. Touch if you wish to first specify the street name. 1. Touch the “Address Search” button. The text entry palette appears on the screen. 2. Touch the letter you want to input the name. (Street) You may enter only the first few letters, touch the “OK” button. 3. Touch the item from the list (STREET LIST). The listing is highlighted in orange. 4. Touch the “Select” button. 5.

Finding a location Junction Search : If you failed to give a city, town, or village in “Address Search” above, or if there are more than one street matching the name you have input, then you will be presented with a list of cities, towns, and villages that have a matching road or street. • City , Street 1 , Street 2 : If you know the city of your destination, you can use it to set a route. Touch if you wish to first specify the City name.
Finding a location POI (Point of interest) Search : Information about various facilities (Point of Interest POI), such as petrol stations, amusement parks or restaurants is available. By selecting the category (or entering the POI Name or City), you can search for a POI. Name : Touch if you wish to first specify the POI Name. City : Touch if you wish to first specify the destination city or area. Category : Touch if you wish to first specify the category. Zone (eg.
Finding a location Nearest POI (Point of interest) The map information on the memory includes the location of many points of interest. These range from railway stations to amusement parks and restaurants. You can use this function to quickly locate and route to any one of these points of interest. You can, for example, look for a particular type of cuisine within a certain distance of your present location and set a route there. Or you can choose museum from a list and route there. 1.
Setting the route ROUTE Touch the “ROUTE” button. The menu appears on the screen. -Screen after route guidance -Screen before route guidance Recalculation The route from the current position to your destination is recalculated. 1. Route calculation starts automatically. 2. The “ROUTE OVERVIEW” screen displays on the screen. Cancel Route If you no longer need to travel to your destination or if you want to change your destination.
Setting the route Simulate This is the mode that is displayed when guidance simulates. In this mode, the position of your vehicle is superimposed on the map. It provides an easily understood view of progress toward your destination. The route is marked by a bold bright blue line. - Refer to the page 37 for details. End Cancel routing altogether. Resume Exits the current screen. Route Options You can set the route option on the screen to make it operate according to your particular needs.
Setting the route Detour You can set the length of the area, and avoid just that area, or you can even search a new route from the current location to your destination. 1. Touch the distance from the list. 2. Route calculation starts automatically. 3. The “ROUTE OVERVIEW” screen displays on the screen. Note On the map screen during route guidance, try the operation.
Setting the setup SETUP Touch the “SETUP” button. The menu appears on the screen. Map Orientation North up : Orients the map so that north is always at the top. (Can not use in 3D view.) Head up : Orients the map so that your forward direction is always at the top. Distance Unit Km : Always display and announce in kilometers. Mile : Always display and announce in miles. Memory Point Show : You can show specific categories of points on the navigation and map view.
Setting the setup Service Area : ON : Alarm sound rings if escape the service area in the forward traveling direction of the vehicle towards the destination. OFF : Cancel the function. Voice Selection : You have a choice of voices with which to receive guidance. Volume This sound volume for the navigation can be set. Touch + or - buttons to change the guidance volume. Mute : Items releated to muting of sound volume can be set. Note Volume of the audiosource is adjusted by the VOL dial of the unit.
Troubleshooting (Navigation) Cannot identify the current location. (GPS not receiving) GPS cannot be used indoors and must be connected to the power with ACC to a vehicle in a location where the sky can be seen well. When initially connecting the GPS, it usually takes about 10 minutes to be normally operating, but the connection speed can differ depending on the weather condition and surrounding obstacles. If the GPS connection is unstable for a long period of time, try the followings.
Troubleshooting (Navigation) The path guide can be different from the actual path. (Path guide error) • • • • • • • When the road is closely parallel. When the splitting road angle is very small. When there is an adjacent road when turning. When driving on a road that is narrowing fast. When driving through the mountain or where the road is too curvy. When the starting, passing and arriving locations are too close within 1km.
Troubleshooting These cases are not the trouble. Under following cases, it is difficult to watch TV because TV receiving signal is bad. Screen Sound Faded in double or triple Shaking It noises. Troubleshooting Symptom Cause Correction Leads and connectors are not properly connected. The fuse is blown. Noise and other factors are causing the built-in microprocessor to operate incorrectly. Playback is not possible. The disc is dirty. The loaded disc is of a type this unit cannot play. Clean disc. Check what type the disc. There’s no sound. The volume level is too low. Adjust the volume. There’s audio skipping. This unit is not firmly secured.
Bluetooth phone compatibility list • If even a phone as described in this list meets requirements of Bluetooth Hand-free Profile 1.0 and Object Push Profile 1.1, it can operate. However, it is noted that this function can or can not be supported according to bluetooth phone features. • As difference in functional operation are mainly resulted from the features of a hand-free phone, consult manufacturer of the phone if you have any guestion.
