Full-Convert Drawer
TM
Using the Full-Convert Drawer
The Full-Convert Drawer provides storage space
with a variable temperature control that can be
adjusted to keep the compartment either colder or
warmer than the refrigerator. The control panel
for the drawer is on the right wall of the
refrigerator interior.
Refrigerator Mode
To use the convertible drawer as a refrigerator,
press the Select/Freezer button a repeatedly to
toggle through the four temperature settings.
Store meat and seafood at 30 °F (-1 °C), cold drinks
at 33 °F (1 °C), deli items and snacks at 37 °F (3 °C),
and chilled wine at 41 °F (5 °C).
CAUTION
• Store vegetables and fruit in crisper drawers.
• If storing meat or fish for more than a few days,
store it in the freezer.
Freezer Mode
To use the convertible drawer as a freezer, press
and hold the Select/Freezer button
a for at least
3 seconds. Once the convertible drawer is set to
freezer mode, its temperature matches the freezer
temperature.
• Pressing the button changes the drawer
temperature.
• To return to refrigerator mode, press and hold
the button for at least 3 seconds.
CAUTION
• Do not store glass bottles and cans in the
convertible drawer when the drawer is set to
freezer mode. The containers may break.
• Before switching the drawer to refrigerator
mode, store frozen food in the freezer.
Otherwise the frozen food may thaw and spoil.
• Do not touch the metal parts in the convertible
drawer with wet or damp hands. Doing so may
cause frostbite.
