Phone Software Update
This feature allows you to update the
firmware of your phone to the latest version
conveniently from the internet without the
need to visit a service center.
For more information on how to use this
function, please visit:

As the mobile phone firmware update
requires the user’s full attention for the
duration of the update process, please make
sure to check all instructions and notes that
appear at each step before proceeding.
Please note that removing the USB cable or
battery during the upgrade may seriously
damage your mobile phone.
LG Mobile Phone Software update via
Over-the-Air (OTA)
This feature allows you to update the
firmware of your phone to the newer version
conveniently via OTA without connecting the
USB data cable. This feature is only available
if and when LG makes the newer version of
the firmware available for your device.
First, you can check the software version on
your mobile phone:
Tap the Menu Key > System settings
> About phone.You can check the software
version at the bottom of the list.
To perform the phone software update, tap
the Menu Key > System settings >
About phone > Software update > Check
now for update.
NOTE: LG reserves the right to firmware
updates available only for selected
models at its own discretion and does
not guarantee the availability of the
newer version of the firmware for all
handset models.
NOTE: Your personal data—including
information about your Google account
and any other accounts, your system/
application data and settings, any
downloaded applications and your DRM
licence —might be lost in the process
of updating your phone's software.
Therefore, LG recommends that you back
up your personal data before updating
your phone's software. LG does not take
responsibility for any loss of personal
data.
