Slow Motion
1. Press PAUSE/STEP
(X) during playback.
The Recorder will
enter/memory
PAUSE mode.
2. Press SCAN

The DVD Recorder will
enter/memory
SLOW mode.
3. Use the SCAN
(m
or
M)
to select the
required
speed:

(back-
ward),

(forward).
With a Video
CD,
the Slow
speed changes:

(forward).
4. To e xit Slow Motion
mode,
press
PLAY
(N).
Note :
Slow motion
playback
in reverse is not
possible
with
Video CDs.
Random
1. Press RANDOM
during playback.
The unit
automatically begins
Random
Playback
and
"RANDOM"
appears
on the TV screen.
2. To return to normal
playback, press
RANDOM until
"NORMAL"
appears
on the TV screen.
Tip
By pressing
SKIP >
during
Random
playback,
the
unit selects another title
(track)
and resumes Random
playback.
Note :
This function
only
works with DVD Karaoke discs or
Video CDs without PBC.
On a Video CD with
PBC,
you
must set PBC to OFF
in the
Setup
menu to use the Random function. See
page
23.
Repeat
DVD Discs
-
Repeat Chapter/Title/Off
Press REPEAT to select a desired
repeat
mode.
?
Chapter: repeats
the current
chapter.
?
Title:
repeats
the current title .
?
Off: does not
play repeatedly.
Video CDs
-
Repeat
Track/All/Off
Press REPEAT to select a desired
repeat
mode.
?
Tr ack:
repeats
the current track.
?
All:
repeats
the all tracks on the disc.
?
Off: does not
play repeatedly.
Note :
On a Video CD with
PBC,
you
must set PBC to OFF in
the
Setup
menu to use the
Repeat
function. See
page
23.
Repeat
A-B
To
repeat
a
sequence
in a title:
1. Press REPEAT A-B at
your
chosen
starting point.
Repeat
icon and 'A-'
appears
on the TV screen.
2. Press REPEAT A-B
again
at
your
chosen
ending
point.
Repeat
icon and 'A-B'
appears
on the TV
screen,
and the
repeat sequence
begins.
3. To cancel the
sequence, press
REPEAT A-B
repeat-
edly
to select Off.
Time Search
The Time Search function allows
you
to start
playback
at
any
chosen time on the disc.
1. Press DISPLAY
during playback.
The On-Screen
Display appears
on the TV screen.
The Time Search box shows the
elapsed
playing
time of the
current disc.
2. Within 10
seconds,
use v /
V
to select the Time
Search icon in the On-Screen
Display.
The "0:00:00"
display appears
in the Time Search box.
3. Within 10
seconds,
use the number buttons to
enter/memory
the
required
start time.
Enter/memory
hours, minutes,
and seconds from left to
right
in the
box.
You can not
enter/memory
an invalid time.
If
you enter/memory
the
wrong
numbers,
press
CLEAR.
Then
enter/memory
the correct numbers.
4 Within 3
seconds,
press
ENTER/MEMORY to
confirm the start time.
Playback
starts from the selected time on the disc.
