2.6 Subbase

The Subbase provides an enclosure for an electrical

receptacle, power switch and a circuit breaker. Electrical

connections to the power supply from the unit are made

inside the subbase. In addition, the subbase provides

structural support to the Wall Sleeve and to the weight of

the PTAC unit .

The Subbase kit consists of two leveling legs for sleeve

support and an accurate unit for leveling during installa-

tion. Also, the subbase is pre-wired and is grounded by

means of a grounding screw.

Note: -

When using a subbase, the wall sleeve must be installed at a minimum height of 3 –

/4 inches (83mm) above a finished

floor and at a minimum distance of 2 –

/4 inches(70mm) from a finished wall.
