features features Settings Use the SETTING button to set Convection Auto Conversion (on some models), Oven Temperature Adjustment, Language, Preheating Alarm Light, Beeper Volume and to switch temperature scale between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Clock The clock must be set to the correct time of day in order for the automatic oven timing functions to work properly. 1. Press CLOCK. 2. Press the number buttons to enter the time. For example, to set the clock for 10:30, press the numbers: 1, 0, 3 and 0. 3.
features The TIMER ON/OFF serves as an extra timer in the kitchen that will sound when the set time has run out. It does not start or stop cooking. The TIMER ON/OFF feature can be used during any of the oven control functions. Setting the Timer 1. To set hours and minutes: Press the TIMER ON/OFF button once. To set minutes and seconds: Press the TIMER ON/OFF button twice. 2. Use the number buttons to set the timer.
features Oven Temperature Adjustment You may find that your new oven cooks differently than the one it replaced. Use your new oven for a few weeks to become more familiar with it before changing the temperature settings. If after familiarizing yourself with the new oven, you still think that it is too hot or too cold, you can adjust the oven temperature yourself. Adjusting the oven temperature 1. Press the SETTING button until “AdJU” appears in the display. 2.
features The Lockout feature automatically locks the oven door and prevents most oven and cooktop controls from being turned on. It does not disable the clock, timer or the interior oven light. 1. Press and hold the START button for three seconds. 2. The lock melody will sound, OVEN LOCKOUT will appear in the display and DOOR LOCKED will flicker in the display. 3. Once the oven door is locked, the DOOR LOCKED indicator will stop flickering and remain on along with the lock icon . 4.
features COOK TIME (TIMED COOK) The TIMED COOK feature allows you to set the oven to cook for a specific length of time. This feature can only be used with the BAKE, CONVECTION BAKE, CONVECTION ROAST and FAVORITE modes. Setting the TIMED COOK function (example, BAKE at 300°F for 30 minutes): Make sure that the clock is set to the correct time of day. 1. Press the BAKE button. 350°F will appear in the display. 2. Use the number buttons to set the temperature. Press 3, 0 and 0. 3.
using the cooktop COOkINg AREAS The cooking areas on your range are identified by permanent circles on the glass cooktop surface. For the most efficient cooking, fit the pan size to the element size. Pans should not extend more than 1/2 to 1-inch beyond the cooking area. When a control is turned on, a glow can be seen through the glass cooktop surface. The element will cycle on and off to maintain the preset heat setting, even on Hi.

using the oven using the oven BEFORE USING THE OVEN note • When using an oven thermometer in the oven cavity, the temperature may differ from the actual set oven temperature. • It is normal for the convection fan to run while preheating during a regular bake cycle. • The convection fan motor may run periodically during a regular bake cycle. Removing and Replacing the Oven Racks caution • Replace oven racks before turning the oven on to prevent burns.
using the oven BAKE BAKE is used to prepare foods such as pastries, breads, casseroles. The oven can be programmed to bake at any temperature from 170°F (77°C) to 550°F (288°C). The default temperature is 350°F (177°C). Setting the BAKE function (example, 375°F): CONVECTION BAKE (ON SOME MODELS) The convection system uses a fan to circulate the heat evenly within the oven. Improved heat distribution allows for even cooking and excellent results while cooking with single or multiple racks.
using the oven Tips for Convection Baking yy Cookies and biscuits should be baked on pans with no sides or very low sides to allow heated air to circulate around the food. Food baked on pans with a dark finish will cook faster. yy When using Convection Bake with a single rack, place oven rack in position D. If cooking on two racks, place the oven racks in positions B and D. If cooking on three racks, place in positions B, D (standard rack) and F (offset rack).
using the oven 25 Smoking The Broil function uses intense heat from the upper heating element to cook food. BROIL works best for tender cuts of meats, fish, and thinly cut vegetables. Due to the intense heat associated with broiling, it is normal to experience smoke during the cooking process. This smoke is a natural byproduct of searing and should not cause you to worry. If you are experiencing more smoke than you are comfortable with, use the following tips to reduce the amount of smoke in your oven.

When using this function, there is no need to preheat the oven prior to cooking. This function will maintain an oven temperature of 170°F. The WARM function will keep cooked food warm for serving up to 3 hours after cooking has finished.
using the oven note • To avoid lowering the oven temperature and lengthening proofing time, do not open the oven door unnecessarily. Check bread products early to avoid over proofing. • Do not use the proofing mode for warming food or keeping food hot. The proofing oven temperature is not hot enough to keep foods at safe temperatures. Use the WARM feature to keep food warm. Proofing will not operate when the oven is above 125°F. HOT will show in the display.

They may damage your cooktop surface. • For your safety, wear an oven mitt or potholder while cleaning the hot cooking surface. Use Ceramic Cooktop Cleaner on the glass cooktop. Other creams may not be as effective or may scratch, damage or stain the cooktop surface.
care and cleaning If any sugar or food containing sugar (preserves, ketchup, tomato sauce, jellies, fudge, candy, syrups, chocolate,etc.), plastic or foil melts on the cooktop, remove the molten material IMMEDIATELY with a metal razor scraper (it will not damage the decorated cooking surface) while the cooking surface is still hot to avoid the risk of damage to the glass-ceramic surface. For your safety, please wear an oven mitt or potholder while cleaning the hot cooking surface.
care and cleaning During the self clean cycle, the cooktop elements and warming drawer cannot be used. note • Remove oven racks and accessories before starting the self clean cycle. • If oven racks are left in the oven cavity during the self clean cycle, they will discolor and become difficult to slide in and out. • Clean the frame of the oven and door with hot soapy water. Rinse well. • Do not clean the gasket. The fiberglass material of the oven door gasket cannot withstand abrasion.
care and cleaning 35 After the Self Clean cycle yy The self clean cycle uses extremely hot temperatures to clean the oven cavity. While running the Self Clean cycle, you may notice smoking or an odor. This is normal, especially if the oven is heavily soiled. yy As the oven heats, you may hear sounds of metal parts expanding and contracting. This is normal and will not damage the oven. yy Do not force the oven door open when LOCKED is displayed.
care and cleaning EasyClean™ (ON SOME MODELS) LG’s new oven with EasyClean™ enamel technology gives you two cleaning options for the inside of your range. The EasyClean™ feature takes advantage of LG’s new enamel to help lift soils without harsh chemicals, and it runs using ONLY WATER for just 20 minutes in low temperatures to help loosen LIGHT soils before hand-cleaning.

FAQs 41 What types of cookware are recommended to use with my cook top? yy The pans must have a flat bottom and straight sides. yy Only use heavy- gauge pans. yy The pan size must match the amount of food to be prepared and the size of the surface element. yy Use tight fitting lids. yy Only use flat bottom woks. Why does “HS” appear on the cooktop display? HS (Hot Surface) will appear in the display once the element is turned off or during the self clean cycle.
FAQs Why aren't the function buttons working? Make sure that the range is not in Lockout mode. The lock symbol will show in the display if Lockout is activated. To deactivate Lockout, press and hold the START button for three seconds. The unlock melody will sound and UNLOCKING will appear in the display until the controls are unlocked. My range is still dirty after running the EasyClean™ cycle.
troubleshooting 43 ENGLISH troubleshooting BEFORE REQUESTING SERVICE Problem Range is not level. Possible Causes / Solutions yy Poor installation. Place an oven rack in the center of the oven. Place a level on the oven rack. Adjust leveling legs at the base of the range until the oven rack is level. yy Floor is not level. Make sure that the floor is strong and stable enough to adequately support the range. If floor is sagging or sloping, contact a carpenter to correct the situation.
troubleshooting Problem Oven smokes excessively during broiling. Possible Causes / Solutions yy Control not set properly. Refer to the "Using the oven" section. yy Meat is too close to the broil element. Reposition the rack to provide proper clearance between the meat and the element. yy Meat is not properly prepared. Remove excess fat from meat. Cut remaining fatty edges to prevent curling. yy Broiler pan is upside down and the grease is not draining.

El ASADO A LA PARRILLA funciona mejor con cortes tiernos de carne, pescado y vegetales finamente cortados. Debido al calor intenso relacionado con el asado, es normal notar humo durante el proceso de cocción. Este humo es un resultado natural del sellado y no debería preocuparle.

30 USO DEL HORNO KIDS MEAL (ALIMENTOS PARA NIÑOS) (EN ALGUNOS MODELOS) Esta función está especialmente diseñada para cocinar los alimentos más populares entre los niños como la pizza de bordes regulares, pizza de bordes levantados, croquetas de pollo, papas fritas y hamburguesas. Al utilizar esta función no es necesario precalentar el horno antes de la cocción. Configuración de la función ALIMENTOS PARA NIÑOS CALENTAR Esta función mantendrá el horno a una temperatura de 170ºF.
USO DEL HORNO NOTA MODO SABBATH FAVORITOS (EN ALGUNOS MODELOS) La función FAVORITOS se usa para grabar y recuperar la configuración de sus recetas favoritas. Usted puede almacenar y recuperar hasta tres configuraciones diferentes. NOTA Si la luz del horno está encendida y el modo SABBATH está activo, la luz del horno permanecerá encendida hasta que se desactive el modo SABBATH. 32 CAJÓN CALENTADOR CAJÓN CALENTADOR (en algunos modelos) Recomendaciones para el Nivel de Potencia del Cajón Calentador por Alimento Configuración Baja FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL CAJÓN CALENTADOR El cajón calentador mantiene los alimentos cocinados a la temperatura justa para servirlos. Toda comida colocada en el cajón de calentador, debe cubrirse con una tapa o papel aluminio para mantener la calidad. No utilice envoltorios plásticos para cubrir los alimentos.

PREGUNTAS FRECUENTES 43 ¿Hay algún truco para limpiar algunas de las manchas rebeldes? Asegúrese de que la estufa no esté en el modo Lockout (Bloqueo).
