Sabbath Mode Guide

Sabbath mode is used on the Jewish Sabbath and Holidays and requires a restriction on certain activities during these times.
LG offers a growing variety of ranges, wall ovens, and refrigerators that feature Sabbath Mode. Most new product introductions
will include Sabbath Mode where applicable.
You’ll find that demand for this feature is higher in the Northeast, Illinois, and California.
While the oven is in Sabbath mode, the following functions are disabled:
• Temperature Adjustments (oven)
• Cooking Timer
• Display

Setting Sabbath Mode on Refrigerators
1. Press-N-Hold the SMART GRID & FREEZER buttons together for 3 seconds, or use the
SmartThinQ™ app for wi-fi enabled models.
2. Repeat the process to turn off Sabbath Mode.
(This could be demonstrated on the sales floor)
After 96 hours, Sabbath mode will automatically turn off or manually from the control panel
(step 2). Once turned on, Sabbath Mode will be maintained even after a power outage.
Setting Sabbath Mode For Ranges & Wall Ovens
For ranges:
1. Disconnect meat probe from equipped models (not useable with Sabbath Mode)
2. Select BAKE mode for the oven, set desired temperature, and cooking time (up to 12 hrs.),
and press START. (Sabbath mode only available when oven is in Bake mode)
3. Press-N-Hold START for 3 seconds. “Sb” will appear indicating Sabbath Mode is activated.
Repeat to deactivate. You can use the SmartThinQ™ app for wi-fi enabled models to turn
on Sabbath Mode.
4. Repeat (step 3) to deactivate Sabbath Mode
For wall ovens, follow steps 1-2 above, then:
3a) Press-N-Hold MORE MODE for 3 seconds. “Sb” will appear indicating Sabbath Mode is
activated. Repeat this step to deactivate.
You can use the SmartThinQ™ app for wi-fi enabled models to turn on Sabbath Mode.
Sabbath Mode will be maintained even after a power outage, but the oven will be off.
