Push in and turn the knob in either direction to the desired heat setting. NOTE: The Control Panel is marked to identify where the element is. There are element indicator lights above the each knob on the control panel. When any control knob is turned on, the light will glow.
S U R FA C E C O N T RO L S C O O K I N G USING THE ELEMENT (cont') To turn on a TRIPLE surface unit: (Right Front) To turn on the Warming Zone: (Center) There is one triple element located in the right front position. This allows you to change the size of element. There is the Warming Zone element located in the back center of the glass surface. It will keep hot cooked food at serving temperature. Push the knob in. Push the knob in. Turn the knob counterclockwise to the SINGLE surface unit settings.
S U R FA C E C O N T RO L S C O O K I N G Cleaning To Prevent Marks and Scratches (See pages 40~42 for more information). Before first use, clean the cooktop. Clean your cooktop daily or after each use. This will keep your cooktop looking good and can prevent damage. If a spillover occurs while cooking, immediately clean the spill from the cooking area while it is hot to prevent a tough cleaning. Using extreme care, wipe spill with a clean dry towel.
S U R FA C E C O N T RO L S C O O K I N G COOKING AREAS The cooking areas on your range are identified by permanent circles on the glass cooktop surface. For the most efficient cooking, fit the pan size to the element size. Pans should not extend more than 1/2 to 1-inch beyond the cooking area. When a control is turned on, a glow can be seen through the glass cooktop surface. The element will cycle on and off to maintain the preset heat setting, even on Hi.
LO W E R O V E N C O N T RO L S The purpose of the Lower Oven is to bake foods using the same cooking times and temperatures you would in a standard oven. Foods ideal for baking in the lower oven drawer include pizza, frozen foods, casseroles, biscuit, rolls and many desserts. To set the Lower oven control: Preheat is complete after the “OVEN HEATING” signal has turned off. Push the knob in. Warm 200˚F 250˚F 450˚F 300˚F Turn the knob to any desired setting between Warm to 450˚F.

O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S CLOCK How to set the Clock The clock must be set to the correct time of day for the automatic oven timing functions to work properly. The time of day cannot be changed during a timed baking or Self Clean cycle. How to change hour mode on Clock (12HR or 24HR) Your control is set to use a 12-hour clock. If you would prefer to have a 24-hour time clock, follow the steps below. Touch the CLOCK pad once to set. Touch the CLOCK pad for 3 seconds.
O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S The TIMER ON/OFF serves as an extra timer in the kitchen that will beep when the set time has run out. It does not start or stop cooking. The TIMER ON/OFF feature can be used during any of the other oven control functions. To set the Timer (example for 5 minutes): Touch TIMER ON/OFF twice. 0:00 and HR inside O will appear and TIMER will flash in the display. Touch 5 in the number pad. You can see 0:05 in the display Touch TIMER to start the Timer.
O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S SPECIAL FEATURES OF YOUR OVEN CONTROL Your new touch pad control has additional features that you may choose to use. The following pages describe these features and how you may activate them. The special feature modes can only be activated while the display is showing the time of day. They remain in the control’s memory until the steps are repeated. When the display shows your choice, touch the START pad.
O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S How to select language How to set preheating alarm light ON/OFF Your oven control is set to display in English but you may change this to display in Spanish or French. The interior oven light automatically turn on when the oven door is opened. Once the oven is preheated, the oven lamp will flash until the door is opened. You can activate or deactivate smart oven light feature. Default Setting is On. Touch and hold the WARM/PROOF pad for 3 seconds.
O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S BEFORE USING OVEN RACKS The upper oven has four racks. Two heavy racks, one telescopic rack and one split rack. The heavy duty rack and split rack have turned up back edge to prevent the rack from complete coming out when sliding back and forth. To remove racks: Pull the rack straight out until it stops. Lift up the front of the rack and pull it out. To replace racks. Place the end of the rack on the support. Tilt the front end up and push the rack in.
O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S The fully extendable Telescopic Rack makes food preparation easier, especially when preparing heavier dishes. The Telescopic Rack has 2 glide tracks that allow you to extend the food out the oven with touching the sides of the oven walls. Installing the Telescoping Rack Closed and Engaged Position With the sliding rack in the “Closed” position, carefully insert the Telescopic Rack between the guides until the rack reaches the back. O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S BAKE Baking is cooking with just lower element except during preheat. Bake can be used to prepare foods like pastries, bread, casseroles and roast meats. The oven can be programmed to bake at any temperature from 170°F (77°C) to 550°F (288°C). Default temperature is 350°F (177°C). To set the Bake Temperature to 375°F Touch BAKE. Set the oven temperature (Touch 3, 7 and 5). Touch START. The word PREHEATING and 100° will be displayed.
O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S BAKING LAYER CAKES Common use with Roasting rack ENGLISH Baking results will be better if baking pans are centered in the oven as much as possible. If baking with more than one pan, place the pans so each has at least 1” to 1 ” of air space around it. If cooking on multiple racks, place the oven racks in positions B and D (for 2 racks). Place in positions B, D, and F (for 3 racks). Place the cookware as shown in Fig.1, 2.
O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S BROIL Broil uses an intense heat radiated from the upper heating element. The Broil function works best when broiling thing tender cuts of meat (1” or less), poultry or fish. IMPORTANT NOTE: • Your oven is designed for CLOSE DOOR Broiling • Meat probe cannot be used with this mode Before Broiling. Place the meat or fish on the broiler grid of the broiler pan. Tips for broiling: • Preheat oven 5~7 minutes for best broiling results.

O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S DUAL CONVECTION BAKE Dual Convection baking uses two fans to circulate the oven's heat evenly and continuously within the oven. Improved heat distribution allows for even cooking and excellent results using multiple racks at the time. Foods cooked on a single oven rack will generally cook faster and more evenly with Dual Convection Bake. Multiple oven rack cooking may slightly increase cook times for some foods, but the overall result is time saved.

O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S CONVECTION ROAST The CONV Roast feature is designed to give optimum roasting performance. The Convection Roast feature combines a cooking with the convection fan to roast meats and poultry. The heated air circulates around the food from all sides, sealing in juices and flavors. Foods are crispy brown on the outside while staying moist on the inside. • Convection Roast is especially good for large tender cuts of meat, uncovered.
O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S This feature is available only for BAKE, CONVECTION BAKE, CONVECTION ROAST and FAVORITE mode. The oven will turn on immediately and cook for a selected length of time. At the end of the cooking time, the oven will turn off automatically. To set the oven to begin cooking immediately and shut off automatically: (example below to bake at 300°F for 30 minutes): Be sure the clock is set for the correct time of day. Touch BAKE, 350°F will appear in the display.
O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S DELAYED TIMED COOK This feature is available only for BAKE, CONVECTION BAKE and CONVECTION ROAST mode. The automatic timer of the Delayed Timed Cook will turn the oven ON and OFF at the time you select in advance. To set the oven for a Delayed Start . (example for baking at 300°F for 30 minutes and starting at 4:30 pm): Be sure that the clock is set with the correct time of day. Arrange interior oven rack(s) and place the food in the oven. Touch BAKE.
O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S The WARM function will maintain an oven temperature of 170°F. This function should not be used to reheat cold food. The Warm function will keep cooked food warm for serving up to 3 hours after cooking has finished. After 3 hours the WARM function will shut the oven OFF automatically. The Warm function may be used without any other cooking operations or can be used after cooking has finished using TIMED BAKE (CONV. BAKE, CONV. ROAST) or DELAYED TIMED BAKE (CONV.
O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S HEALTHIER ROAST This Healthier Roast function is designed to give cooking results of fat, results lower in fat for roasting meats and poultry. Healthier Roast can reduce the fat up to 20% compared to regular roasting. The amount of fat reduced from the meat may vary depending on the type and cut of meat. Test results are based on beef roasts by a certified organization. Preheating is not necessary for meats and poultry.
O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S The meat probe accurately measures the internal temperature of meat, poultry and casseroles. It should not be used during broiling, Self Clean, warming or proofing. Always unplug and remove the meat probe from the oven when removing food. Before using, insert the probe into the center of the thickest part of meat or into the inner thigh or breast of poultry, away from fat or bone. Place food in the oven and connect the meat probe to the jack.
O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S MEAT PROBE (cont') RECOMMENDATION CHART FOR PROBE TEMPERATURE Doneness CAUTION • Always use an oven mitt to remove temperature probe. Do NOT touch broil element. - Failure to do so can result in severe personal injury. • To avoid damage to the Meat Probe, DO NOT use tongs to pull on the probe when removing it. • Do not store the Meat Probe in the oven. O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S The START pad controls the Oven Lockout feature. The Oven Lockout feature automatically, locks the oven door prevents most oven controls from being turned ON. It does not disable the clock, timer or the interior oven light. Activate the lock out feature: Touch and hold START pad for 3 seconds. Lock melody will sound, LOCKING will appear & “DOOR LOCKED” will flash in the display.
O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S SELF CLEAN The self clean cycle uses above normal cooking temperatures to clean the oven cavity. You may see some smoke and smell an odor the first few times the oven is cleaned. This is normal and will lessen in time. Smoke may also occur if the oven is heavily soiled. During self clean, the kitchen should be well ventilated to minimize the odors from cleaning. CAUTION • DO NOT leave small children unattended near the appliance.
O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S The SELF CLEAN pad is used to start a Self Clean cycle. When used with START TIME pad, a delayed Self Clean cycle may also be programmed. The SelfClean function has cycle times of 2, 3, or 4 hours. To start an immediate Self Clean cycle and shut off automatically Be sure the clock is set with the correct time of day, the oven is empty and the oven door is closed.
O P E R AT I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S SELF CLEAN (cont') If it becomes necessary to stop or interrupt a selfcleaning cycle due to excessive smoke or fire in the oven: Touch CLEAR/OFF. After the oven has cooled down, the DOOR LOCK will automatically release allowing you to open the oven door. NOTE: When using the Self Clean feature: • A Self Clean cycle cannot be started if Oven Lockout feature is active. • Once the SELF CLEAN is set, the oven door will lock automatically.
MAINTENANCE Changing the Oven Light Painted and Decorative Trim The oven light is a standard 40-watt appliance bulb. It will come on when the oven door is open. When the oven door is closed, press Oven LIGHT to turn it on or off. For general cleaning, use a cloth with hot soapy water. For more difficult soils and built-up grease, apply a liquid detergent directly onto the soil.Leave on soil for 30 to 60 minutes. Rinse with a damp cloth and dry.
MAINTENANCE CARE & CLEANING (cont') Oven Racks Remove the oven racks before operating the selfclean cycle. Leaving the racks in place could cause discoloration, and, if food is spilled into the tracks, could causes the racks to become stuck. If left, clean by using a mild, abrasive cleaner. Rinse with clean water and dry. If the racks are cleaned in the self clean cycle, their color will turn slightly blue and the finish will be dull.
MAINTENANCE Burned-On Residue IMPORTANT: To clean the glass/ceramic cooktop If any sugar or food containing sugar (preserves, ketchup,tomato sauce,jellies,fudge,candy,syrups, chocolate,etc.),a plastic item or kitchen foil accidentally melts on the hot surface of your cooktop, remove the molten material IMMEDIATELY with a metal razor scraper (it will not damage the decorated cooking surface)while the cooking surface is still hot to avoid the risk of damage to the glass-ceramic surface.
MAINTENANCE REMOVING & REPLACING THE LIFT-OFF OVEN DOOR To replace the door: CAUTION • Be careful when removing and lifting the door. • DO NOT lift the door by the handle. - The door is very heavy. To remove the door: Step. 1 Open the door fully. Step. 2 Pull the hinge locks up toward the door frame to the unlocked position. Lock Unlock Slot Hinge lock Step. 3 Firmly grasp both sides of the door at the top. Step. 4 Close door to the door removal position, which is approximately 5 degrees.
MAINTENANCE REMOVING & REPLACING THE LOWER OVEN DRAWER • Turn POWER OFF before removing the Lower Oven Drawer. - Failure to do so can result in severe personal injury, death, or electrical shock. Most cleaning can be done with the drawer in place. However, the drawer may be removed if further cleaning is needed. Use warm water to thoroughly clean.
