INSTALLATION EN Electrical Data Power cord may include a current interrupter device. TEST and RESET buttons are provided on the plug case. The device should be tested on a periodic basis by frist pressing the TEST button and then the RESET button. If the TEST button does not trip or if the RESET button will not stay engaged, discontinue use of the air conditioner and contact a qualified service technician.

EN How to Install the Unit 1 To prevent vibration and noise, make sure the unit is installed securely and firmly. 2 3 Install the unit out of direct sunlight. There should be no obstacles, such as a fence or wall, within 20” from the back of the cabinet because it will prevent heat radiation of the condenser. Restriction of outside air will greatly reduce the cooling efficiency of the air conditioner.
EN Preparation of Chassis 1 Align holes between the upper guide and the top of the cabinet and then install it with 3 type A screws. EN 3 Unit Installation CAUTION Cut the non-adhesive foam strip to the proper length and insert it between the upper window sash and the lower window sash. • During the following step, hold unit firmly until window sash is lowered to top channel behind side panel frames. Personal injury or property damage may result if unit falls from window. 1 Set the air conditioner in the window so that is centered.
OPERATION EN Control Panel 3 2 1 NOTE • The feature may be changed according to the type of model. 1 Power Turns the air conditioner On or Off. 2 Fan Speed Use to set the fan speed to Low or Hi. 3 Mode/Temp Control Knob Use to set the air conditioner to the Fan or the Cool mode. Fan - Use Fan at Hi or Low Fan Speed to provide air circlulation and filtering without cooling. Cool - Use Cool with Hi or Low Fan Speed for cooling. Turn the knob toward the Max area for the indoor air to become cooler.
EN Additional Features Air Direction Adjusting the air direction using the horizontal air deflector control. Using the control tabs, the air flow can be directed to the left, right, straight ahead, or any combination of these directions. NOTE • The feature may be changed according to the type of model. Slinger Fan This air conditioner is equipped with a slinger fan. (See drawing.) The fan’s outer ring picks up the condensed water from the base pan if the water level gets high enough.
MAINTENANCE WARNING • Before cleaning or performing maintenance, disconnect the power supply and wait until the fan stops. Air Filter Check the air filter at least twice a month to see if cleaning is necessary. Trapped particles in the filter can build up and block the airflow, reducing cooling capacity and causing an accumulation of frost on the evaporator. EN Cleaning the Air Conditioner • Remove dust from the air inlet and outlet using a vacuum cleaner.
TROUBLESHOOTING EN Before Calling for Service The appliance is equipped with an automatic error-monitoring system to detect and diagnose problems at an early stage. If the appliance does not function properly or does not function at all, check the following before you call for service. EN Problem Possible Causes & Corrective Action The air conditioner is unplugged. • Make sure the air conditioner plug is pushed completely into the outlet. The fuse is blown/circuit breaker is tripped. • Check the house fuse/circuit breaker box and replace the fuse or reset the breaker. Air conditioner does not start. Power failure. • If power failure occurs, turn the mode control to off. When power is restored, wait 3 minutes to restart the air conditioner to prevent tripping of the compressor overload.
EN Problem Possible Causes & Corrective Action Water drips Indoors. The air conditioner is not tilted to the outside. • For proper water disposal, make sure the air conditioner slants slightly from the cabinet front to the rear. Water collects in base pan. Moisture removed from air and drains into base pan. • This is normal for a short period in areas with little humidity; normal for a longer period in very humid areas. Air conditioner turns on and off rapidly. Noise when unit is cooling.

SP Cómo instalar la unidad 1 2 3 Para prevenir la vibración y el ruido, asegúrese que la unidad esté instalada con seguridad y firmeza. Instale la unidad fuera de la luz solar directa. FUNCIONAMIENTO SP Panel de control 3 2 1 NOTA • La función puede cambiar según el tipo de modelo. 1 Power Enciende y apaga el acondicionador de aire. 2 Interruptor de Fan Speed Use esta funcion para cambiar la velocidad del ventilador entre Low (Bajo) y Hi (Alto). 3 Control de Mode/Temp (Modo/Temp) Use para ajustar el acondicionador de aire al modo FAN (VENTILADOR SOLAMENTE) o COOL (ENFRIADO ENCENDIDO).
SP Funciones adicionales La dirección del aire Para ajustar la direccion del aire usando control de la direccion del aire. Las dos lengüetas horizontales para el contorl de las rejillas le permiten descargar el aire hacia la izquierda, o algo de aire a la izquierda y otro a la derecha, o todo el aire hacia el frente, o cualquier combinación de las posiciones mencionadas. NOTA • La función puede cambiar según el tipo de modelo.
MANTENIMIENTO ADVERTENCIA • Antes de limpiar o realizar el mantenimiento, desconecte el suministro de electricidad y espere que el ventilador se detenga. Filtro de aire Revisar el filtro de aire al menos dos veces al mes para comprobar si es necesaria su limpieza. Las partículas atrapadas en el filtro pueden acumularse y bloquear el flujo de aire, lo que reduce la capacidad de enfriar y ocasiona una acumulación de escarcha en el evaporador.
