Password
You can enter or change password.
1. Select [Password] on the [Lock] menu and
then press
i
.
2. Press ENTER.
3. Input a password and press ENTER.
To change the password, press ENTER
when the [Change] option is highlighted.
Input a password and press ENTER. Enter it
again and press ENTER to verify.
4. Press HOME to exit the menu.
NOTE
If you forget your password, you can clear it using
the following steps:
1. Select the [Setup] menu on the [Home] menu.
2. Input the 6-digit number “210499” and press
ENTER. The password is cleared.
Area Code
Enter the code of the area whose standards
were used to rate the DVD video disc, based
on the list on page 43.
1. Select [Area Code] on the [Lock] menu then
press
i
.
2. Input a password and press ENTER.
3. Select the rst character using
U u
buttons.
4. Press ENTER and select the second
character using
U u
buttons.
5. Press ENTER to conrm your Area code
selection.

ABOUT DIVX VIDEO: DivX® is a digital video
format created by DivX,Inc. This is an ocial
DivX Certied device that plays DivX video.

software tools to convert your les into DivX
video.
ABOUT DIVX VIDEO-ON-DEMAND: This DivX
Certied® device must be registered in order to
play DivX Video-on-Demand (VOD) content. To
generate the registration code, locate the DivX
VOD section in the device setup menu. Go to
vod.divx.com with this code to complete the
registration process and learn more about DivX
VOD.
[Register]
Displays the registration code of your unit.
[Deregister]
Deactivate your unit and display the
deactivation code.
NOTE
All the downloaded videos from DivX VOD can
only be played back on this unit.
