Sound
adjustment
You
can
adjust
the
sound
treble,
bass,
balance,
surround
and
UBB
(Ultra
Bass
Booster)
as
you
prefer.
The
surround
sound
creates
an
all
around
sound
effect
as
in
a
concert
hall
and
UBB
stresses
and
emphasizes
heavy
sound.

Repeatedly
press
the
MENU
button
to
select
MENU

Ε
button
to
select
the
desired
sound
item.

Press
the
Φ
/
Γ
button
to
make
desired
adjustment.
4.
Press
the
OK
button
to
store.
The
adjusted
sound
level
is
stored
in
the
FAVORITE
SOUND
mode.
To
recall
your
preferred
setting,
press
the
SSM
button
until
the
desired
sound
(STANDARD
SOUND,
MUSIC
SOUND,
or
FAVORITE
SOUND)
display
appears.
The
STANDARD
SOUND
and
MUSIC
SOUND
are
programmed
for
good
sound
reproduction
at
the
factory
and
cannot
be
changed.
Stereo/Dual
reception
When
a
programme
is
selected,
the
sound
information
for
the
station
appears
with
the colour
system
and
programme
number.
Mono
sound
selection
In
stereo
reception
if
the
stereo
signal
is
weak;
you
can
switch
to
mono
by
pressing
the
DUAL
button.
In
mono
reception
the
depth
of
sound
is
improved.
To
switch
back
to
stereo,
press
the
DUAL
button
again.
Note
:
If
the
mono
signal
is
distorted
or
noisy
press
the
DUAL
button
to
switch
between
mono
and
forced
mono
sounds.
In
case
of
forced
mono
sound
MONO
is
displayed
on
the
screen.
Language
selection
for
dual
language
broadcast
If
a
programme
is
received
in
two
languages
(dual
language),
you
can
switch
to
DUAL
I,
DUAL
II
or
DUAL
I
II
by
pressing
the
DUAL
button
repeatedly.
DUAL
I
sends
the
primary
broadcast
language
to
the
loudspeakers.
DUAL
II
sends
the
secondary
broadcast
language
to
the
loud-
speakers.
DUAL
I
II
sends
a
separate
language
to
each
loudspeaker.
