Connection
of
external
equipment
S-video/Audio
in
sockets
(S-AV)
When
connecting
a
S-VHS
VCR
to
the
S-VIDEO
socket,
the
picture
quality
will
be
further
improved.
1.
Connect
the
S-video
socket
of
the
S-VHS
VCR
to
the
S-VIDEO
socket
on
the
front
or
back
of
the
set.
2.
Connect
the
audio
cable
from
the
S-VHS
VCR
to
the
AUDIO
IN
sockets
on
the
front
or
back
of
the
set.
3.
If
the
S-VHS
VCR
is
connected
to
the
AV
1
sockets
on
the
back
of
the
set,
press
the
TV/AV
button
to
select
AV1.
You
should
select
AV2
if
the
S-VHS
VCR
is
connected
to
the
AV
2
sockets
on
the
back
of
the
set.
4.
Press
the
PLAY
button
on
the
VCR.
The
VCR
playback
picture
appears
on
the
screen.
Note
:
a.
If
you
have
a
mono
VCR,
connect
the
audio
cable
from
the
VCR
to
the
AUDIO
L
(MONO)
socket
on
the
front
panel
of
the
set.
b.
If
both
S-VIDEO
and
VIDEO
sockets
have
been
connected
to
the
S-VHS
VCR
simultaneously,
only
the
S-VIDEO
can
be
received.
External
speakers
You
can
connect
external
Hi-Fi
speakers
to
get
a
wide
stereo
effect.
When
connecting
the
external
speakers,
these
must
be
8
ohm.
1.
Connect
two
external
speakers
to
the
EXTERNAL
SPEAKER
sockets
as
indicated
by
red
(+)
and
black(-)
knobs.
When
connecting
the
external
speakers,
make
sure
that
the
polarity
is
correct.
Note
:
When
the
EXT/INT
switch
is
positioned
to
EXT,
the
internal
speakers
do
not
operate.
2.
Set
the
EXT/INT
switch
to
EXT(external).
To
use
TV
speakers
set
the
switch
to
INT(internal).
