Informazioni generali • Se la batteria rimane inutilizzata per lungo tempo, è necessario ricaricarla per ottimizzarne l’uso. • Non esporre il caricabatteria alla luce solare diretta e non utilizzarlo in ambienti particolarmente umidi, ad esempio nel bagno. • Evitare di lasciare la batteria in luoghi con temperature troppo basse o elevate per non comprometterne le prestazioni.
Inserimento della scheda SIM Questo telefono necessita di una scheda SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) per funzionare. Se non si possiede una scheda SIM sottoscrivere un abbonamento con il gestore preferito. La scheda SIM contiene un chip che tiene traccia, tra l'altro, del numero di telefono dell'utente, dei servizi compresi nell'abbonamento e delle informazioni contenute nella rubrica. Per inserire la scheda SIM nel telefono, fare riferimento alle seguenti indicazioni.
Inserimento della scheda SIM n Nota Prima di inserire la scheda, accertarsi che il telefono sia spento e che la batteria sia stata rimossa. La scheda SIM e i relativi contatti possono graffiarsi e danneggiarsi facilmente. Pertanto, prestare attenzione quando si maneggia, si inserisce o si rimuove la scheda. Tenere le schede SIM fuori dalla portata dei bambini. Fare riferimento alle istruzioni fornite con la scheda SIM.
Ricarica della batteria Prima di collegare l’adattatore da viaggio al telefono verificare che la batteria sia installata correttamente. 1. Inserire il connettore di ricarica nella presa posta sotto al telefono. 3. Sul display, le barre di carica della batteria inizieranno a muoversi, indicando cheil telefono è in fase di carica. Se il telefono è spento, il display visualizza una batteria con le barre in movimento 4.
Disconnessione dell’adattatore Per scollegare l’adattatore dal telefono premere i pulsanti laterali del connettore e sfilarlo con delicatezza. n Nota In caso di carica anomala della batteria... • Riprovare a caricare la batteria dopo aver acceso e spento il telefono. • Rimuovere e ricollegare la batteria e riprovare con la procedura di ricarica. n Attenzione • Per evitare scosse elettriche o incendi, scollegare il cavo di alimentazione e il caricabatterie durante i temporali.

Uso della scheda di memoria TransFlash (TFlash) Il telefono ha una memoria interna di circa 20MB, espandibile tramite delle schede di memoria TransFlash. Le memorie TransFlash sono delle schede semi-rimuovibili e ultrasottili appositamente disegnate per i telefoni cellulari. La capacità di memoria di una TransFlash varia da 32MB a 256MB. 1. Assicurarsi che il telefono sia spento.
Uso della scheda di memoria TransFlash (TFlash) 4. Una volta inserita, spingere la scheda di memoria con il dito, fino a sentire un caratteristico “click” che indica il bloccaggio della scheda • La scheda e il telefono sono costruiti in modo che la TransFlash possa essere facilmente inserita nello slot in un solo modo; non piegarla né forzarla durante l’inserimento.

Funzioni generali La seguente tabella descrive gli indicatori e le icone visualizzate sul display del telefono. Funzioni generali Funzioni dei tasti Di seguito vengono descritte le funzioni dei tasti nella schermata di standby. standby. Il numero chiamato viene visualizzato secondo le dimensioni e il colore configurati nel menu Impostazioni > Carattere. Ci può volere qualche secondo affinché il telefono si spenga. Non tentare di riaccendere il telefono durante lo spegnimento. Codici di accesso Per evitare l’uso non autorizzato del telefono, è possibile utilizzare i codici di accesso descritti in questa sezione.
Funzioni generali Codice di sicurezza (da 4 a 8 cifre) Il codice di sicurezza protegge il videofonino dall’uso non autorizzato e viene fornito con il telefono. Questo codice À necessario per utilizzare alcune funzioni del telefono e verrá richiesto di volta in volta. Il codice di sicurezza predefinito è "0000" ma è possibile modificarlo tramite il menu Sicurezza.
Funzioni generali Effettuare una chiamata voce Una chiamata voce usa le stesse risorse di un comune telefono GSM. Durante una chiamata voce, non è possibile visualizzare le immagini degli interlocutori. 2. Digitare il numero preceduto dal prefisso. 3. Premere il tasto . per effettuare la chiamata. 4. Per terminare la chiamata, premere il tasto oppure chiudere il telefono. n Nota Per attivare il vivavoce durante una chiamata voce, tenere premuto il tasto per almeno 2 secondi.
Funzioni generali 1. Aprire il telefono e premere il tasto per rispondere alle chiamate in arrivo. Se l’opzione di menu Qualsiasi tasto [Menu 1-9-4] è attiva, è possibile rispondere a una chiamata premendo un tasto qualunque, ad eccezione del tasto . n Nota • Per rifiutare una chiamata, premere il tasto o il tasto funzione destro due volte. E' possibile rifiutare una chiamata col folder chiuso premendo il tasto laterale della fotocamera.

Quando ci si trova in un campo che consente l’inserimento di testo, nell’angolo superiore destro del display viene visualizzato un indicatore di tale modalità. 2. Funzioni speciali Durante una chiamata, il telefono cellulare mette a disposizione una serie di funzioni alle quali è possibile accedere premendo il tasto funzione sinistro [Opzioni]. Durante una chiamata Il menu visualizzato sul display del telefono durante una chiamata è diverso da quello visibile in modalità standby; le opzioni che comprende sono descritte di seguito.
Funzioni speciali Premendo il tasto Opzioni - Attiva, il telefono torna alla funzione normale. Quando il microfono è disattivato, il vostro interlocutore non può sentirvi ma voi potete ancora ascoltarlo. Tutte queste opzioni sono disponibili nel menu durante la chiamata. Il numero massimo di utenti in una chiamata conferenza è cinque. Se avete iniziato la chiamata, siete quindi l’unico utente che può controllarla e aggiungere utenti a essa.
Funzioni speciali Gli altri utenti in attesa rimarrano collegati fra di loro. Per riattivare la chiamata in conferenza, premere il tasto funzione destro [Riprendi] Aggiungere chiamate alla chiamata multiparty Per aggiungere chiamate a una conferenza in corso, premere il tasto funzione sinistro [Opzioni], quindi selezionare Collega chiamate.
Menu principale Il menu del telefono contiene tutte le funzioni e opzioni che ne permettono l'utilizzo e la configurazione. Per accedere al menu, premere il tasto funzione sinistro 'Menu' da Stand-by. Registro chiamate 1.1 Registro chiamate [ ] Videochiamate perse [ ] Chiamate voce perse Consente di visualizzare le chiamate perse, ricevute, effettuate e la lista completa delle chiamate. 1.1.1 Perse Il registro chiamate è accessibile anche premendo il tasto Invia da Standby. Questa funzione consente di visualizzare l'elenco di oltre 20 chiamate a cui non si è data risposta. Per chiamata visualizzata è possibile: - Effettuare una chiamata vocale o video - Salvare il numero nella Rubrica. 1.1.
Registro chiamate 1.2 Videochiamata 1. Nascondi immagine: determina se nascondere la propria immagine o inviarla all'interlocutore durante una videochiamata • Sì: non invia l'immagine. • No: invia l'immagine. 2. Immagine sostitutiva: permette di inviare un video o un'immagine predefinita invece della propria immagine durante la videochiamata • Sì: invia il video o l'immagine sostitutiva al posto della propria foto. Il file da inviare si seleziona dal menu successivo "File immagine" • No: invia l'immagine.
Registro chiamate 1.4 Costi chiamate Consente di visualizzare le informazioni relative ai costi delle chiamate (servizio di rete non disponibile con tutti gli operatori o SIM ). Opzioni - Cancella: Azzera i dati attuali dei costi selezionati (ultima chiamata o tutte) - Cancella tutto: Azzera tutti i costi - Imposta limite: Questo servizio di rete consente di limitare i costi delle chiamate a un certo numero di scatti o a una certa cifra impostando il valore iniziale del credito residuo.
Registro chiamate 1.5.1.3 Se senza risposta Opzioni Trasferisce le videochiamate a cui non viene data risposta dopo un tempo che varia da 5 a 30 secondi.
Registro chiamate 1.5.2.4 Se irraggiungibile 1.5.3 Chiamata fax Trasferisce le chiamate vocali quando il telefono è spento o ci si trova fuori dal raggio di copertura della rete. Trasferisce tutte le chiamate fax in ingresso su un numero con una connessione fax.
Registro chiamate E' possibile aggiungere nuovi numeri premendo il tasto funzione destro Nuovo, oppure modificare e cancellare quelli esistenti premendo il tasto funzione sinistro [Opzioni] 1.7 Blocco chiamate Il servizio di limitazione chiamate impedisce al telefono di effettuare o ricevere chiamate in alcune situazioni. Questa funzione richiede una password di rete (fornita dall'operatore) per il controllo del servizio.
Registro chiamate sinistro [Opzioni] seguito da Accetta. Per chiudere la chiamata in corso, è sufficiente premere il tasto Fine. E' possibile attivare il servizio di Avviso di chiamata per Tutte le chiamate in arrivo oppure in maniera distinta per la Chiamate vocali e le Videochiamate.
Registro chiamate n Nota Le chiamate rifiutate sono disponibili nell'elenco delle chiamate ricevute [Menu 1-1-2]. Quando il servizio di rifiuto automatico è attivo, nella parte alta del display appare appare l'icona 1.9.2 Invia il mio numero 1. Impostazioni rete: Se si seleziona questa voce è possibile inviare il proprio numero di telefono sulla linea 1 o 2 in base alle impostazioni di rete. 2. Sì: Selezionando questa opzione, il proprio numero verrá inviato e visualizzato sul telefono del ricevente. 3.
2. Rubrica Questo menu consente di salvare e gestire le informazioni sui contatti. Le funzioni della rubrica consentono di aggiungere un nuovo contatto o di ricercare i contatti salvati per nome, numero o informazioni sul gruppo.
Rubrica 2.3 Selezione rapida Questo menu permette di associare i tasti da 2 a 9 a un contatto in rubrica. Sarà poi possibile chiamare il contatto da Stand-by premendo il relativo tasto per 2-3 secondi. Per aggiungere una selezione rapida, selezionare un tasto contrassegnato con Vuoto e premere [Assegna] per scegliere il contatto dalla rubrica. Premendo il tasto [Opzioni] su una selezione rapida già assegnata, è possibile modificarla o cancellarla selezionando le apposite funzioni. 2.
Rubrica ] Da Telefono a SIM: copia un contatto dalla memoria del telefono alla scheda SIM (sarà copiato solo il numero impostato come predefinito). ] Da SIM a Telefono: copia un contatto dalla scheda SIM alla memoria del telefono. Sono disponibili le seguenti opzioni: - Tutti insieme: Sposta in blocco tutti i contatti. - Uno alla volta: Per spostare manualmente solo i contatti desiderati Sono disponibili le seguenti opzioni: 2.6.
3. Impostazioni 3.1 Data e ora L’ora corrente viene automaticamente impostata sul telefono al momento della registrazione in rete. Tuttavia, è possibile utilizzare il menu “Data e ora” per impostare direttamente l’ora e la data desiderate. Grazie a una batteria tampone, il telefono è in grado di mantenere l'ora e la data per più di 2 ore, anche se la batteria è scollegata. 3.1.1 Ora 1. Impostare l'orario attuale.
Impostazioni 3.2 Rete 3.2.1 Selezione rete E' possibile scegliere in modo automatico o manuale la rete a cui registrarsi. In genere, la selezione della rete è impostata su Automatica. Automatica Se si seleziona la modalitá automatica, il telefono ricerca e seleziona automaticamente una rete. Una volta selezionata questa opzione, il telefono resta impostato su ricerca Automatica anche in caso di accensione e spegnimento. 3.2.
Impostazioni Tuttavia, non è possibile eliminare o modificare le configurazioni predefinite fornite dall'operatore. Premere il tasto funzione destro per modificare le seguenti voci di configurazione.
Impostazioni 1. Scegliere la voce Richiesta PIN dall’elenco e selezionare Sì. Inserire il codice PIN corrente per convalidare la selezione. Se è già stata abilitata o disabilitata la richiesta PIN, viene visualizzato un messaggio di avviso. - All'accensione: Viene richiesto il codice di sicurezza ogni volta che si accende il telefono 2. L’inserimento di un codice PIN errato per 3 volte nella finestra di immissione del codice PIN rende tale codice non valido.
Impostazioni tentativi consentiti per l’inserimento del PUK è 10. Al decimo tentativo di inserimento del PUK errato la SIM verrà bloccata. 3.4.3.2 Codice PIN 2 In questo menu è possibile modificare il codice PIN2. Il codice PIN2, in dotazione con alcuni tipi di schede SIM, è necessario per accedere ad alcune funzioni come l'indicazione del costo di chiamata e la lista dei numeri fissi (FDN). Queste funzioni sono disponibili solo per le schede SIM che le supportano.
Impostazioni 3.6.2 Memoria agenda Visualizza la quantità di memoria occupata nell'agenda. Per ciascuna voce, viene mostrata la quantità di memoria occupata e quella totale. Utilizzare i tasti direzionali su e giù per scorrere le voci SMS, Contatti, Calendario, Attività, Memo e Appunti personali. 3.6.3 Memoria SIM Visualizza la quantità di memoria disponibile sulla scheda SIM, divisa fra contatti in rubrica e SMS. Il numero massimo di contatti e SMS memorizzabili nella SIM dipende dalla SIM stessa. 3.6.
Impostazioni 3.8.1.2 Ricezione chiamate 3.8.3 Carattere È possibile selezionare uno sfondo personalizzato da visualizzare alla ricezione di una chiamata. Questa configurazione viene applicata ugualmente sia alle chiamate vocali che alle videochiamate. Selezionare il colore e la dimensione (piccola o grande) dei numeri visualizzati sul display 3.8.1.3 Invio chiamate Consente di regolare la durata dell'illuminazione dei dei due display e della tastiera in base alle proprie esigenze.
Impostazioni 3.9 Reset impostazioni Questa funzione consente di ripristinare i valori predefiniti di fabbrica per tutte le impostazioni e di cancellare la memoria del telefono. 3.9.1 Cancella memoria - Contenuti telefono: Cancella la Rubrica, i Messaggi, gli eventi in Agenda, la lista delle chiamate e i Preferiti.
4. Multimedia 4.1 Multimedia Con la fotocamera è possibile scattare fotografie sul momento, catturando così simpatiche immagini da spedire via MMS o da conservare nel proprio album. La fotocamera è di tipo orientabile: con un semplice movimento del pollice può essere ruotata di 180 gradi, in modo da inquadrare soggetti sia frontali che alle spalle del telefono. U8210 integra una fotocamera digitale da 1.
Multimedia - Multiscatto: è possibile scattare fino a 9 foto in sequenza. Tale funzione imposta automaticamente la risoluzione dell'immagine a 320x240. - Zoom: Ingrandisce o riduce un'immagine. Lo zoom massimo varia in base alla risoluzione selezionata. Vi sono 10 livelli di zoom (ingrandimento max 4x) disponibili, regolabili tramite i tasti direzionali su/giù.
Multimedia - Invia tramite: permette di inviare la fotografia tramite il servizio TIMClick (vedere [Menu 5-1-1] per ulteriori dettagli), MMS, e-mail o Bluetooth.
Multimedia - Modo notturno: attivare questa funzione per migliorare la resa dei video registrati in ambienti scarsamente illuminati - Memoria in uso: impostare la memoria dove salvare i video scegliendo fra Telefono e memoria esterna. 3. Registrazione di un video - Posizionare la videocamera come desiderato e premere [Registra] per avviare la registrazione. Premere il tasto [Stop] per interrompere la registrazione. Il video viene automaticamente salvato nell'album multimediale.
Multimedia - Nuova registrazione: Avvia la registrazione di un nuovo file audio. - Album: visualizza la lista delle registrazioni effettuate 3. Avvio della registrazione - Premere il tasto OK per avviare la registrazione. Sul display è possibile verificare la durata della registrazione e il relativo nome del file. - Per annullare la registrazione, premere il tasto funzione destro [Esci]. La registrazione termina quando si raggiunge il tempo massimo o quando si preme il tasto [Stop].
5. Messaggi 5.1 Nuovo messaggio 5.1.1 TIMClick(servizio operatore) Questa funzione permette di sfruttare il servizio di TIM relativo all’invio di cartoline MMS o alla stampa di foto. Andare sul sito www.tim.it o contattare il Servizio Clienti TIM per ulteriori informazioni sul funzionamento e sui costi del servizio. Per accedere al menu TIMClick selezionare il menu Messaggi > Nuovo messaggio e scegliere TIMClick.
Messaggi 1. Selezionare "Cartolina"dal menu TIM Click. 2. Selezionare il tasto [Allega] nel campo Allega per allegare un file immagine, quindi inserire un breve messaggio di saluto nel campo Dedica. 3. Inserire il nome e l'indirizzo del destinatario negli appositi campi 4. Premere il tasto [Invia] per inviare la Cartolina al centro servizi 5.1.
Messaggi 4. Spostarsi sul campo Messaggio e digitare il testo desiderato Premendo il tasto funzione sinistro [Opzioni], si accede al seguente menu: - Inserire: permette di aggiungere al messaggio dei simboli, un modello di testo preimpostato o un nome dalla rubrica • Simbolo: per inserire punteggiatura e simboli. La tabella dei simboli è accessibile anche premendo il tasto ' * ' dal campo di modifica del messaggio • Modello: inserisce nel mesaggio uno dei modelli di testo presenti nel telefono.
Messaggi 2. Spostarsi sui campi "A" e "Cc" per inserire i destinatari diretti e quelli in copia conoscenza. E' possibile inserire il numero di telefono o l'indirizzo e-mail del destinatario. Per inserire un numero dalla rubrica, premere il tasto [Opzioni] e selezionare Cerca. 3. Spostandosi con il tasto direzionale Giù, appaiono altri campi per inserire fino a 20 destinatari (10 diretti e 10 in copia conoscenza) 4. Spostarsi sul campo Oggetto e inserire il titolo dell'MMS 5.
Messaggi - Nuova immagine/Video/Suono: permette di scattare una foto, registrare un video o un memo vocale da allegare all'MMS. La durata del video e del file audio sarà automaticamente adattata alla capacità dell'MMS. Per ulteriori dettagli su come scattare foto o registrare e suoni, fare riferimento al [Menu 4] 6. Premendo il tasto [Opzioni], inoltre, viene visualizzato il seguente menu: < Menu Opzioni comuni > 1.1 Cerca 1.1.

Messaggi Quando si riceve un messaggio, il telefono emette un avviso acustico a seconda del profilo audio impostato (consultare il [Menu 0] per informazioni). Il telefono può memorizzare fino a 150 SMS nella memoria interna, oltre a quelli che può salvare sulla SIM card. Quando la memoria della SIM card è piena, sul display appare la scritta “Memoria messaggi SIM piena”: per memorizzare ulteriori messaggi sulla scheda SIM sarà quindi necessario cancellarne alcuni.
Messaggi - Estrai: Permette di salvare dei dati contenuti nel messaggio, come numeri di telefono (Estrai numero), indirizzi e-mail (Indirizzo e-mail) o indirizzi internet (Indirizzo Web) per poi salvarli in rubrica 3. 6. Internet WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) si può definire come una riproduzione in piccolo della più comune rete Internet. Sfruttando un sistema di navigazione simile, è possibile visualizzare pagine di informazioni, oppure richiedere diversi servizi. Attraverso il browser WAP 2.0 integrato è possibile visualizzare le pagine in linguaggio WML e in xHTML ampliando la compatibilità verso semplici siti internet.

Internet 6.7 Impostazioni 6.7.1 Account Gli account identificano le configurazioni per le connessioni WAP. Allo stesso modo di un collegamento internet col PC, il telefono deve essere configurato per collegarsi al Gateway del proprio operatore. In questo menu si possono inserire diversi profili. Contattare il proprio gestore per conoscere i parametri di configurazione WAP.
Internet Impostazione del punto di accesso 6.7.4 Mostra immagine Il punto di accesso definisce l'Access Point Name e altri dati per effettuare una connessione col server. I punti di accesso sono necessari per l'uso del WAP, MMS, Video streaming e così via. E' possibile selezionare se visualizzare o meno le immagini contenute nelle pagine WAP - Il terminale include dei punti di accesso preconfigurati per la connessione ai servizi TIM.
7. Album multimediale Nell'album multimediale sono raccolti tutti i file multimediali - immagini, foto, video e file audio scaricati nel telefono. Inoltre,è possibile accedere ai file memorizzati sulla memoria esterna e quelli ricevuti da un altro dispositivo Bluetooth. Tutti gli album presenti in questi menu sono organizzati in cartelle, proprio come i file memorizzati sul PC. Tali cartelle sono utili per una migliore organizzazione dei propri file.
Album multimediale - Nuova cartella: è possibile creare una nuova cartella nella cartella correntemente selezionata - File: è possibile aprire, spostare, copiare, eliminare e rinominare un file. È anche possibile visualizzare le informazioni sul file e modificarlo - Seleziona/Deseleziona: grazie alla funzione Seleziona, è possibile inviare, eliminare, spostare e copiare più file. - Invia tramite: è possibile inviare un file via E-mail, MMS e Bluetooth.

Informazioni file: visualizza le informazioni del file audio, come Nome, Dimensione, Data e ora, Tipo, Durata, Album di appartenenza e se il file è protetto - Durante la riproduzione del file, premere i tasti volume per modificare il volume dell'audio o il tasto laterale della fotocamera per mettere in pausa e riprendere il brano.
8. Applicazioni Grazie al supporto di Java, il telefono consente di ricercare e scaricare applicazioni e giochi da siti che li forniscono Java è una tecnologia sviluppata da Sun Microsystems che, tramite il linguaggio J2ME, permette di scaricare nuove applicazioni (chiamate MIDlet) sul telefono, utilizzando il browser WAP. Una volta scaricata un'applicazione, questa viene memorizzata e può essere utilizzata in qualunque momento, senza la necessità di connettersi nuovamente a WAP, accedendo al menù Java.

9. Mobile TV Accedendo a questo menu, il telefono effettua la connessione al servizio Mobile TV di TIM. Mobile TV permette di vedere alcuni canali televisivi sul telefono, sfruttando le funzioni di video streaming. 0. Profili audio Nella cartella Profili, è possibile regolare e personalizzare il profilo audio del telefono a seconda delle circostanze e dell'ambiente. Sono disponibili otto profili predefiniti: Normale, Silenzioso, Volume alto, Vibrazione, Auricolare, Automobile e due profili Personali. E' possibile attivare il profilo desiderato premendo il tasto [OK]. n Nota I profili Auricolare e Automobile si attivano solo quando viene collegato un auricolare esterno o un vivavoce da auto al telefono.

Avoid placing the phone over the pacemaker, i.e. in your breast pocket. • Some hearing aids might be disturbed by mobile phones. • Minor interference may affect TVs, radios, PCs, etc. • RF energy may affect some electronic systems in your motor vehicle such as car stereo, safety equipment.
Guidelines In aircraft Wireless devices can cause interference in aircraft. • Turn off your mobile phone before boarding any aircraft. • Do not use it on the ground without crew permission. Children Keep the phone in a safe place out of children's reach. It includes small parts which if detached may cause a choking hazard. Emergency calls Emergency calls may not be available under all cellular networks. Therefore, you should never depend solely on the phone for emergency calls.
Installing the SIM card Your SIM card contains your phone number, service details and contacts and must be inserted into your handset. If your SIM card is removed then your handset becomes unusable until a valid one is inserted. Always disconnect the charger and other accessories from your handset before inserting and removing your SIM card. Your SIM card may only be used in handsets which are enabled for 3 services.
Installing the SIM card n Notice Before installing always make sure that the phone is switched off and remove the battery. The metal contact of the SIM card can be easily damaged by scratches. Pay special attention to the SIM card while handling and installing. Follow the instructions supplied with the SIM card.
Charging the Battery To connect the travel adapter to the phone, you must have installed the battery. 1. With the arrow facing you as shown in the diagram push the plug on the battery adapter into the socket on the bottom of the phone until it clicks into place. 2. Connect the other end of the travel adapter to the mains socket. Use only the included packing charger. n Warning Do not force the connector as this may damage the phone and/or the travel adapter. 12 3.
Disconnecting the charger Disconnect the travel adapter from the phone by pressing its side buttons as shown in the diagram. n Warning • Unplug the power cord and charger during lightning storms to avoid electric shock or fire. • Make sure that no sharp-edged items such as animal teeth, nails, come into contact with the battery. There is a risk of this causing a fire. • Do not place or answer calls while charging the phone as it may short-circuit the phone and/or cause electric shock or fire.

How to use a TransFlash (TFlash) memory card The phone has 30MB of internal memory, which can be expanded using a TransFlash (TFlash) memory card. The TransFlash product is an ultra small, semiremovable flash memory module especially designed for mobile phone. The TransFlash capacity is up to 256MB. 3. Insert the memory card in the slot. The gold contacts must be kept on the back of the TransFlash. Don’t push the TransFlash too much.
How to use a TransFlash (TFlash) memory card 4. Once inserted, push the memory card until you hear a “click”, meaning that the TransFlash has been correctly blocked. For more information on the TransFlash, please refer to the instructions manual of the memory card. Memory card formatting Before start using memory card it's necessary to format it. After you insert memory card, select MenuSettings-Reset settings-Clear memory- External memory, then press OK.

Display information No Sim Idle Screen This is the initial screen of the phone that appears when there is no Sim card installed in the phone, or the installed Sim card is invalid. In this screen, users can only make emergency calls, and turn the phone off. To turn off the phone, press and hold the End key for a while. Screen Structure Idle screen consists of the operator’s name, indicators, date, and time on a background image.
Display information Numbering Screen The numbering screen appears when a number key is pressed in the idle screen. Screen Structure The numbering screen consists of status indicators, dialled number, and soft menu. Status indicators are the same as that of the idle screen. The dialled number is displayed in the size and colour configured in Display > Font. You can make a call while dialling a phone number by pressing the Send or Video Call key.
Display information PIN code (4 to 8 digits) PUK2 code (4 to 8 digits) The PIN (Personal Identification Number) code protects your SIM card against unauthorized use. The PIN code is usually supplied with the SIM card. When the PIN Code Request is set to Enable, your phone will request the PIN code every time it is switched on. When the PIN Code Request is set to Disable, your phone connects to the network directly without the PIN code.
Display information 1. Input the phone number using the keypad, or select the phone number from the calls made/received lists. n Note To correct mistakes, press the number, or press and hold the key briefly to delete the last key to delete all numbers. 2. If you do not want to use the speakerphone, ensure you have the headset plugged in. 3. To start the video function, press . n Note You will be notified that you will need to close other applications to make the video call.
Display information Making International Calls 1. Press and hold the key for the international prefix. The ‘+’ character can be replaced with the international access code. 2. Enter the country code, area code, and the phone number. 3. Press the key. Adjusting the Volume During a call, if you want to adjust the earpiece volume, use the side keys of the handset. In idle mode with the flip cover open, you can adjust the key volume using the side keys.

This function ensures that the menu is displayed regardless of which module is running.
Main Menu You can launch a menu by pressing the Menu key over numeric key 2 in the idle screen. Move to a desired item and press the OK key to go into the sub menu. Each call record menu provides the following functions. - You can make a voice or video call to the number in the call record. - You can save the number in the call record in the addressbook. - You can send a message to the number in the call record. - You can view detailed information of the call records such as the date, time and call time. - You can clear call records.

Call manager 1.9 Settings 1.9.1 Call reject Automatic menu: Users can configure to reject all or a specific number calls by selecting Deactivate, Reject on list, or Reject all calls menu. Selecting Deactivate disables Automatic call reject. Selecting Reject on list rejects only reject target numbers saved in Phone book. Selecting Reject all calls rejects all arriving calls unconditionally by silent or disconnecting. When you configuring Reject on list mode, you can add numberto reject by using ‘List’ menu.
2. Address book This is a addressbook function to record and manage contact addresses. Using the Addressbook Management menu, you can register new contact addresses, or can search for desired addresses by name, phone number, or groups. 2.1 Add new You can register a new contact address.
Address book 2.5 Own number You can save up to 2 own numbers being used in the SIM card, and send the number to another person through Card. 2.6 Settings 2.6.1 Display data Determines where phone book data is stored. You can select mobile phone memory, SIM card, or both of them. Handset & SIM is the default setting. You can change the setting by using the left and right keys. 2.6.2 Copy all You can copy contact address information from the phone memory to the SIM or from SIM to the phone memory.
3. Settings 3.1 Date & Time Although the current time is automatically configured when the phone is registered to the network, users can configure time and date directly using ‘Date & Time’ menu. The time configured by user is valid only while the phone is turned on. 3.1.1 Time 1. Select the ‘Time’ item from the Date & Time list, and then press [OK] [Select]. 2. Settings - None: Cancels lock function. 3.4.3 Change codes You can change PIN, PIN2, the mobile phone password and the call barring password. 3.4.3.1 PIN code PIN is the abbreviation of Personal Identification Numeric, and is used to restrict the use of an unauthenticated user. * 3 incorrect PIN code entries in the PIN code input window would invalidate the PIN code. In this case, you have to input the PUK (PIN Unblock Key) code to configure the PIN code again.
Settings 3.5 Languages This function changes the language used in the phone. 3.6 Memory status This function shows the usage of the memory of the mobile phone that can be used to save user data. User data is saved in a FLASH memory, a type of nonvolatile memory, keeping saved data permanently unless the data are deleted by user. 3.6.1 Common memory This function shows the status of the user memory of the mobile phone. This gives the used size of each component in terms of bytes and kilobytes.

In Clear memory “Handset contents” will reset Address book, Messages, Diary, Calls, Favourite. “Handset personal info” will reset Video, Audio, Image, Java, Book mark and saved pages. “SIM memory” will reset SIM memory. “External memory” will reset the external memory.
4. Media 4.1 Camera 4.1.1 Taking a Picture (Still picture) 1. Select Camera or press the numeric key (#1) from the Media album menu. 2.
