If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agents or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. 3. Always unplug the machine and turn off the water supply after use. 4. Connect the machine to an earthed socket in accordance with current wiring regulations. 5. The appliance must be positioned so that the plug is easily accessible.
nstallation I This equipment is not designed for maritime use or for use mobile installations such as caravans, aircraft etc. Turn off the stopcock if the machine is to be left for any length of time (e.g. holiday), especially if there is no floor drain(gully) in the immediate vicinity. I nstallation 1. Adjusting the washing machine level properly prevents excessive noise and vibration. Install the appliance on a solid and level floor surface, preferably in a corner of the room. NOTE: Extend the feet no more than necessary to level the washer. The more the feet are extended, the more the washer will vibrate. 2. If the floor is uneven, adjust the adjustable feet as required. (Do not insert pieces of wood etc.

Fabric Care Labels Look for a care label on your clothes. This will tell you about the fabric content of your garment and how it should be washed. 2. Sorting To get the best results, sort clothes into loads that can be washed with the same wash cycle. Different fabrics need to be washed in different ways.
U sing the dispenser All laundry products can be added at once in their respective dispenser compartments. They will be dispensed at the appropriate time for most effective cleaning. After loading the laundry additives into the dispenser, close the dispenser drawer. Add detergent, bleach and fabric softener to the automatic dispenser following these steps: 1. Open the dispenser drawer. 2. Load the laundry products into the appropriate compartments. 3. Close the dispenser drawer.

Detergent is flushed from the dispenser at the beginning of the cycle. Either powdered or liquid detergent can be used. • Liquid or powdered color-safe bleach may be added to the main wash compartment along with the same type of liquid or powdered detergent. • When using liquid detergent, make sure the liquid detergent box and insert are in place.

Press the STEAM button to add steam to the selected cycle for added cleaning power. NOTE: Pressing the ON/OFF button during a cycle will cancel that cycle and any load settings will be lost. Adding the Steam option to these cycles provides superior cleaning performance while reducing energy and water consumption. By using a hot steam spray from above and cooler water below, fabrics get the cleaning benefits of a super hot wash, without the energy usage or potential damage to fabrics.
H ow to use washer COLDWASH™ CYCLES COLDWASH™ cycles include the COTTON/NORMAL, PERM. PRESS, BULKY/LARGE, HEAVY DUTY, DELICATES, HAND WASH/WOOL , and SPEED WASH cycles. Adding the COLDWASH™ option to these cycles provides reduce energy usage and same washing performance as warm wash. By using 6 different washing motion (Tumbling, Rolling, Stepping, Scrubbing, Swing, Filtration), fabrics get the cleaning benefits, without the energy usage.
H ow to use washer ENGLISH SPECIAL FUNCTION BUTTONS Your Steam Washer™ features several additional cycle options to customize cycles to meet your individual needs. Certain option buttons also feature a special function (see the following page for details) that can be activated by pressing and holding that option button for 3 seconds. To Add Cycle Options to a Cycle: ❶ Turn on the washer and turn the cycle selector knob to select the desired cycle.
H ow to use washer SECONDARY FUNCTIONS THE OPTION BUTTONS The special function buttons also activate secondary functions, including CHILD LOCK and TUB CLEAN. Press and hold the button marked with the secondary function for 3 seconds to activate. ALLERGIENE™ CHILD LOCK • Selecting the ALLERGIENE™ cycle automatically incorporates steam into the wash cycle. Use this option to prevent unwanted use of the washer or to keep cycle settings from being changed while the washer is operating.
M aintenance The water inlet filter -" " error message will blink on the control panel when water does not enter the detergent drawer. - If your water is very hard or contains traces of lime deposit, the water inlet filter may become clogged. It is therefore a good idea to clean it from time to time. 1. Turn off the water tap. 2. Unscrew the water inlet hose. 3. Clean the filter using a hard bristle brush. 4. Tighten up the inlet hose.
M aintenance ■ Cleaning the Dispenser • The dispenser should be cleaned periodically to remove buildup from detergent and other laundry products. 1. Pull out the dispenser drawer until it stops. Press the button in the center of the drawer and pull to remove the drawer. 2. Remove the inserts from the drawer, and clean them with warm water and a soft cloth or brush to remove any residue or buildup. Wipe out the inside of the drawer opening with a damp cloth.

The outside of the machine can be cleaned with warm water and a neutral, non-abrasive household detergent. Immediately wipe off any spills. Wipe with a damp cloth. The display shows: • Thermal overload protection circuit in the motor has been tripped. • Allow the washer to stand for 30 minutes to allow the motor to cool; then restart the cycle. If the LE error code still appears, unplug the washer and call for service. • Restart the cycle.
T roubleshooting guide Using SmartDiagnosis™ • Only use this feature when instructed to do so by the call center. The transmission sounds similar to a fax machine, and so has no meaning except to the call center. • SmartDiagnosis™ cannot be activated if the washer does not power up. If this happens, then troubleshooting must be done without SmartDiagnosis™. If you experience problems with your washer, call to Customer information center.

Ponga los productos para el lavado en los compartimientos apropiados. 3. Cierre el cajón del dispensador. ■ Acerca del Detergente Para esta lavadora se recomienda un detergente poco espumoso. Use la cantidad recomendada por el fabricante.

C ómo utilizar la lavadora STEAM CYCLES Para añadir vapor al ciclo estándar: ❶ Encienda la lavadora y gire la perilla selectora de ciclos para seleccionar un ciclo con la opción VAPOR. ❷ Apriete el botón VAPOR. La lavadora programará automáticamente los ajustes de ciclo. ❸ Programe cualquiera de las demás opciones deseadas. ❹ Apriete el botón INICIO/PAUSA para iniciar el ciclo. La lavadora iniciará automáticamente. PRECAUCIÓN: No toque la compuerta durante los ciclos de vapor.
C ómo utilizar la lavadora CICLOS DE COLDWASH™ (LAVADO EN FRÍO) Los ciclos de COLDWASH™ incluyen ALGODÓN/NORMAL, PLANCHADO PERMANENTE, VOLUMINOSO, CARGA PESADA, DELICADOS, LAVADO A MANO/LANA y LAVAR RAPIDO. Agregar la opción COLDWASH™ a estos ciclos brinda una reducción de energía y el mismo desempeño que un lavado con agua tibia. Mediante el uso de 6 movimientos de lavado diferentes (caer, fregar, rodar, golpear, centrifugar, cuidar), las telas obtienen los beneficios del lavado sin el gasto de energía.
C ómo utilizar la lavadora BOTONES DE FUNCIÓN ESPECIAL Para añadir opciones de ciclo al ciclo: ❶ Encienda la lavadora y gire la perilla selectora de ciclos para seleccionar el ciclo deseado. ❷ Use los botones de programación de ciclo para fijar los ajustes para ese ciclo. ❸ Apriete el(los) botón(es) de opción de ciclo para la opción que desea añadir. Los botones de opción de ciclo se encenderán cuando se seleccionan. ❹ Apriete el botón INICIO/PAUSA para iniciar el ciclo.

Apriete y mantenga apretado el botón de opción marcado con la función secundaria por 3 segundos para activar. La transmisión tiene un sonido similar al de un fax, y no tiene ningún significado, excepto para el Centro de Atención al Cliente. • El DiagnósticoInteligente™ no puede activarse si la lavadora no está conectada a la red eléctrica. Si esto ocurre, deberán utilizarse los procedimientos normales de solución de problemas.
