Putting into operation - F0 to F9 - The power failure symbol flashes. 4 Putting into operation 4.1 Switching on the appliance Note u The refrigerator compartment is switched on automatically when the freezer compartment is switched on. 4.1.1 Switch on the freezer compartment The appliance should have been operating for about 4 hours before you stock it with frozen food. Disposing of the appliance w The refrigerator compartment temperature display is dark. The refrigerator compartment is switched off. The freezer compartments remains in operation. 8.2 Taking the appliance out of service u Empty the appliance. u Pull out the power plug. u Clean the appliance (see 6.2) . u Leave the door open to prevent odour. 9 Disposing of the appliance The appliance contains some reusable materials and should be disposed of properly - not simply with unsorted household refuse.
