Vibrated cast-in-place pile
Vibrated cast-in-place pile Description Vibrated cast-in-place piles are installed in the shielding of an outer casing. The casing, which is closed at its bottom end with a base plate, is vibrated down to the required depth using a high frequency vibrator. The base plate is disposable and can be fitted with a sealing to prevent groundwater ingress. Once the final depth has been reached, a reinforcement cage can be inserted into the casing.
Vibrated cast-in-place pile Equipment technology For installing vibrated cast-in-place piles all carrier machines of the LRB series are suitable. Vibrators to be applied are top vibrators, types 1100 H, 23 VML and 40 VML as well as ring vibrators, types 20 VMR and 32 VMR. Ring vibrators offer two decisive advantages compared to top vibrators: on the one hand, ring vibrators allow for inserting both reinforcement and concrete without the need to lift the vibrator off the casing and swing it to the side.
Vibrated cast-in-place pile Production The production of a vibrated cast-in-place pile takes place in the following stages: 1 The disposable base plate with seal is positioned. 2 The casing is placed on the disposable base plate. 3 The casing is vibrated with a high frequency vibrator. 4 The casing is vibrated to the projected depth.
A reinforcement cage is placed in the dry casing. 6 Concrete is poured into the casing. Reinforcement cage – optionally with a geotextile hose 7 The casing is extracted and the concrete in the casing is compacted by vibration. 8 Finished pile.
