Safety belt pretensioner and SRS air
bag may not work at the same time in
a crash with certain speed and angle.
SRS warn in g la mp is li ghted when turnin g
the ig nitio n key to “ON”, and th en it
goes out afte r about 5 s, which in dic ate s
the fr ont safe ty belt prete nsioner work s
norm all y.
The warning la mp system is to monito r th e air
bag ECU, safety belt pretensio ner assembly,
air charging devic e, warnin g lamp, wirin g and
power supply (See Sectio n 1- 5 “Maintenance
Indicato r and Warning Buzzer”fo r detail ).
The fr ont safety belt pre te nsioner syste m
includes the fo ll owing assembli es, whose
positio ns are shown in th e above fig ure.
The fr ont safe ty belt pretensioner assembly
is contr olle d by air bag ECU.。

operati on,

and a bit of smoke lik e gas will be given out.
This gas is harmle ss and does not mean a
fir e as well.
Warning
The fr ont safe ty belt prete nsio ner assembly,
air bag sensor or its surroundin g wirin g is not
allowed to be retrofitte d, removed, knocked or
opened. Otherwise, it will result in a sudden
operatio n of the fr ont safety belt prete nsio ner
or cause an ineffe ctiv e system, and fin ally
cause an accident.

and retrofit .

before consult ing the personnel at
service statio n . Such alt eratio n may
influ ence the normal operation of the front
safety belt pretensioner under some
cir cumstances.

suppl ement ary equi pm ent in front par t.
● Repair on or near the front fender,
fro nt stru cture or bra cket.
Once the fr ont safe ty belt pretensioner is
work ing, safe ty belt re tr actor will be kept
under its locking sta te .
