Exposure to dust may cause mild respiratory irritation. Acute Silicosis can occur with
exposures to very high concentrations of respirable crystalline silica over a very short
time period, sometimes as short as a few months. The symptoms of acute silicosis
include progressive shortness of breath, fever, cough and weight loss.

Repeated or prolonged inhalation of dust may cause respiratory irritation. Repeated
and prolonged exposure to crystalline silica containing materials may cause irritation
and/or lung damage silicosis, fibrosis, inflammation, cancer. Repeated and prolonged
inhalation may affect the brain due to the presence of manganese sulfate.
