tact your local authorized Lincoln Electric Field Service Facility for technical assistance.

OUTPUT PROBLEMS
Thermal LED is lit.
Machine won’t weld, can’t get any
output.
1. Fan thermostat has opened.
Check for proper fan operation.
(Fan should run whenever out-
put power is on.) Check for
material blocking intake or
exhaust louvers, or for excessive
dirt clogging cooling channels in
machine. Blow air in rear louvers
to remove dirt around the fan.
2. Secondary rectifier or Choke
thermostat has opened. After
machine has cooled, reduce
load, duty cycle, or both. Check
for material blocking intake or
exhaust louvers.
3. DC Bus PC board thermostat
has opened check for excessive
load on 40VDC supply.
1. Input voltage is too low or too
high. Make certain that input
voltage is proper, according to
the Rating Plate located on the
rear of the machine.
2. If the Thermal LED is also lit,
see “Yellow Thermal LED is Lit”
section.
3. Primary current limit has been
exceeded. Possible short in out-
put circuit. Turn machine off.
Remove all loads from the out-
put of the machine. Turn back
on. If condition persists, turn
power off, and contact an autho-
rized Lincoln Electric Field
Service facility.
