POD Farm 2 Advanced User Guide – How To....
8•14
Each DAW application offers these MIDI input options slightly differently. For most DAWs, this is
typically accomplished by setting up a MIDI track to receive from your MIDI controller device, and
setting the MIDI track Output to the audio track & Plug-In. For example, here is how to congure this
in Ableton Live, where POD Farm 2 Plug-In is inserted on Audio track 1:
On a new MIDI track, set the Input to receive from
your MIDI controller device
Set the Output to be the Audio track where your
POD Farm 2 Plug-In is inserted
The POD Farm 2 Plug-In should then appear as the
“MIDI Output Channel” destination
POD Farm 2 Plug-In is inserted
on Audio track 1
Be sure to Arm the MIDI track
to allow MIDI throughput
Configuring Ableton Live for MIDI Input to POD Farm 2 Plug-In
These MIDI input options vary among DAW applications - Please see your DAW software’s Help
for details. Also, see the additional documentation available from the POD Farm Online Help for
conguring specic DAW applications and MIDI settings.
Once the above MIDI routing is congured, you can map your controller to access the pre-congued
POD Farm 2 MIDI control settings, or use the POD Farm 2 MIDI Learn feature to easily map your
MIDI controller’s individual knobs, pedals and switches to the many plug-in parameters. See “POD
Farm 2 Plug-In MIDI Control” on page 4•34 for more info.
