12. Save -Youcansaveyourcustomsoundsormodicationsbyoverwriting
any of the existing presets. Press the
SAVE button, your display will
appear similar to this:
The preset location shown above left is your current location. To save to
a new preset memory location, press
on your 4-WAY NAV to access
a new preset location (shown as
06Cabove).Youcanpersonalizethe
presetnameyouaresaving(shownasPRESETNAMEabove).Press
on the 4-WAY NAV to move the flashing black cursor over the
character you want to edit, then turn the
PRESETS knob to change
the character. Press
SAVE when nished to save your changes. To
abort your save, press the
TAP footswitch. Remember:PODHD400

13. Effects Loop - StompthisswitchtoactivateyourFX Send and FX
Return on and off. Press the PRESETS knob and use the 4-Way Nav
to access the
FXLOOP page to route the Effects Loop Pre or Post, Mix
amount, as well as adjust the gain levels for the
Send and Return.
14. Multi Use Footswitches - Hands free control access to all presets,
looperfunctionandstompboxstyleon/offoperationforliveandstudio
situations.Thereare3modesofoperationdescribedbelow.
15. Mode Footswitch/LEDs - Use this switch to toggle through the 3
available footswitch modes.
Preset Mode (Green LED):
ABC D
Press a footswitch to load its preset (A, B, C or D).
Looper Mode (Red LED):
PRE/
POST
REC/
OVERDUB
PLAY /
STOP
PLAY
ONCE
Equips your POD HD400 with 24 seconds of looping capability.
The
PRE/POST footswitch allows you to set your loop recording
and playback either beforeamp and effectsmodeling orafter (LED
off=
PRE,LEDon=POST). Recording in PREmode(LEDoff)let’syou
record your guitar, then audition various effects with your loop playing
back, while recording in
POSTmode(LEDon)capturesyourampand
effects in the loop and then layer different sounds by changing presets.
Note: changing the state of the PRE/POST footswitch while the loop
is playing back can dramatically change the volume, so be careful!)
Stomp
REC/OVERDUB to start recording a loop then stomp PLAY/
STOP
to end loop and immediately start playback. You can overdub
additional parts by again, stomping the
REC/OVERDUB switch.Stomp

16. Footswitches - When the Mode Footswitch is set to Loop or
Pedal Mode, stomping one of these moves you up or down one preset.
Example: From preset 1A, pressing loads preset 1B.WhentheMode
Footswitch is set to Preset Mode, the
Footswitches work in a
differentway.Nowstompingoneofthesemovesyouupordownone
bank. To load a new preset from that bank you will need to then select
either
A, B, C or D from the Multi Use Footswitches to load its preset.
